@@legally_lisa there was a peace process in the past but Hamas decided to use suicide bombers inside Israel. As result the israeli population voted more for the right wing and those are the consequences. Hamas basically undermined the peace process cos they want no peace. As long as Hamas rules palestine there will never be peace between palestinians and israelis even tho most civilians would like that to happen. It gets even worse now because Iran uses its proxies (Hamas, Hezbollah,...) for its strategic gains against Israel. Have you ever wondered why Hamas started this war knowing they arent strong enough to keep up with the Israeli miliary? The Gaza war was meant to put international pressure on Israel in order to internationally gain moral support for Irans goal to wipe Israel off the map. It was a campaign planned almost half a year before it happened (even one of hamas speaker confirmed it), al aqsa was just a planned pretext. "Nothing justifies air strikes against civilians": These were airstrikes against military targets. In the rule of war its stated that its allowed to take civilians casualties if the military target cant be neutralized without casualties. It means that even 1 higher ranking Hamas member living near your house could result in you dying aswell because thats allowed, he is a military target and therefore a strike targeting him (even when hitting civilians aswell) is allowed. "Nothing justifies breaking international law.": As i stated above, Israel acted in the rules of international law. The rules of war allow such things. War is definetly awful, it has always been like that but there was no breaking of int. law just because it was awful for civilians.

You know what's messed up? Is that the whole video NYT did not address that these shells and bombs were sent down by the Israeli army and that Gaza has been under siege for the past 14 years. Instead,they labelled it as a "conflict", as if there is ever a conflict between the occupier and the occupied, or the ones benefitting off of apartheid and the ones suffocating under it. I know it might be too obvious to be addressed to some, but this could also be quite confusing to those still learning about the Israeli occupation of Palestinian lands and their cold blooded genocide of indigenous Palestinians.

everyone seems to forget that in 2007 Hamas was Elected by the people of Gaza to lead them to a "better" future. over the last 15 years Palestine's received billions of $... and did they used this money for schools, hospitals a mall perhaps? No! all the money was used to build a terrorist's haven on earth, with 5* underground accommodation, multiple weapons to choose from (like a buffet), plenty of children to be both human shields and potential candidates to replenish the "troops". it's very sad to see the cost of life and destruction in Gaza, but they really gave the Israeli side no choice. Let's hope Israel will be able to wipe out all of Hamas's infrastructure in the Gaza strip (actually doing the job that they should have done themselves) and this time elect better leadership- one that is not focused on destroying Israel but rebuilding Gaza and giving hope for a better future

Well, President Jimmy Carter wrote about Baron Lionel Walter Rothschild who signed The Balfour Declaration of November, 1917 that led to the re-establishment in Israel in 1948. Balfour Declaration = Encyclopedia Britannica. Arthur James Balfour was a British Statesmen. Even Lord Jacob Rothschild gave an interview on KZread about his family's involvement in restoring Israel in Palestine due to The Balfour Declaration. I wonder how many of you ever watched the movie, "The House of Rothschild" from 1934 starring George Arliss from 20th Century Fox. and Actor George Arliss also acted in the movie, "Alexander Hamilton" in 1930. The movie, "The House of Rothschild was based on Mayer Amschel Rothschild's son and his five sons, more specifically on, Nathanial Rothschild and James Rothschild. According to that movie, Mayer Amschel Rothschild's son, Nathaniel Rothschild, connived his way into winning the bid on the loan for "The Reparations" of France" after The Battle of Waterloo in Belgium in 1815. Nathaniel funded The British side of the war while his brother, James, funded Napoleon's side of The Napoleon Wars in France. The Battle of Waterloo was the last battle to ever take place between The British & France. It is also mentioned in The Jewish Encyclopedia, Vol. 10 on page 490 published in 1906 that Mayer Amschel Rothschild was an agent of Prince William Landgrave IX of Hesse Kassel out of Germany who funded British Troops against The American Revolution. It is also mentioned in The Journals of The House of Commons, Vol. 23, that Prince William Landgrave IX of Hesse Kassel's father, Frederick The II, married Princess Mary, the daughter of King George The II. Of course, our U.S. Founding Fathers fought against King George The III.

Oh...my direct ancestor, Reverend Edward Wightman, was one of the reasons why Roger Williams, The Founder of Rhode Island & Founder of The 1st Baptist Church came out with The Separation of Church & State that later transcended down into our U.S. 1st Amendment between The Danbury Baptist Association & Thomas Jefferson in Danbury, CT in 1803. That also took place due to Roman Catholics who, in Virginia, tried to "Fine" an Anglican Protestant Church. Of course, the reasons also stem back to The European Persecutions (*U.S. Library of Congress) as well as The Protestant Reformation Era that included people like Martin Luther, William Tyndale, Anne Boleyn (National Geographic has a good article on Anne Boleyn, but they fail to mention, "The Carthusian Martyrs of London, and Anne Boleyn's brother, George Boleyn). There was also John Rogers, The 1st Protestant Martyr burned at the stake in 1555 after William was burned at the stake in 1536, same year that Anne Boleyn was executed, King Henry The VIII's 2nd wife. Reverend Edward Wightman was The Last Martyr during The Protestant Reformation Era burned at the stake by King James for heresy in 1612, same year that English Minister John Smyth died. Every one I mentioned are in Encyclopedias, but Edward Wightman was mentioned under "Burning At The Stake" as one of the reasons why, "Capital Punishment' came to America, but they fail to mention that it was The British who were behind that. Reverend Edward Wightman's great grandson, Reverend Valentine Wightman married Susannah Holmes, The Great Grand Daughter of Roger Williams who came to America in 1630. Susannah also fell under Obadiah Holmes mentioned through Christianity Websites. As for English Minister John Smyth, who was another Protestant like Anne Boleyn, Martin Luther (Lutheranism), and William Tyndale, as well as John Rogers, John Smyth had a hand in forming The Baptist Church Denomination who died in 1612. However, he also had followers, Puritans, who set out to convince other Puritans and Protestants of forming a Pilgrimage called, "The Great Puritan Migration" which included The Mayflower, Speedwell, and The Fortune.

The Mayflower & Speedwell left late in September of 1620 due to repairs needed to The Mayflower, and they arrived in Plymouth, MA in December of 1620. Most Pilgrims were sick when they arrived ashore until Squanto appeared, one of the 27 Indians captured by Capt. Thomas Hunt, a lieutenant of Capt. John Smith from Jamestown, Virginia who had come to know Pocahontas. (Note: Not the same John Smith as English Minister John Smyth. Pastor John Robison who led The Mayflower was influenced by English Minister John Smyth before they left Scrooby, England. Squanto, during his capture, lived 9 years in London where he ended up working as an interpreter for British Captains before he was set free and allowed to return home to find his tribe, "The Patuxet Tribe" of 'The Wampanoag Clan' all wiped out by disease. From there, Squanto trekked south to find other clansman from The Wampanoag Clan. That all led to The Pilgrim Wampanoag Peace Treaty signed on April 1st, 1621. Chief Massasoit kept the peace until he died from The Wampanoag Clan. However, Chief Massasoit's 2nd son later attacked in what was known as King Philip's War or The 1st American Indian War. He attacked due to more and more settlers who arrived that encroached upon their land. The British Royals just wanted to enslave all those American Indians that they called, 'Savages," but people like Roger Williams prevented that from happening even after those Indians killed Anne Hutchinson. That is also the reason why Roger Williams was known as "The 1st Abilitionist." The British did manage to enslave some of those Indians, however, but not all. The Wampanoag Clan also tried to drag The Narransett Tribe into that war. Roger Williams bought his land from The Narragansett Tribe who were not part of The Wampanoag Clan or any of its tribes. Roger Williams University, The Massasoit Community College, and Massasoit State Park would not exist for some of those events.

My God.. these people are so resilient, courageous, and strong. How anyone can think that having these barbaric wars and attacks is okay, is beyond me. It's disgusting. I wish they could be truly safe. They don't deserve this. God bless them all ♡♡♡

Fact- long before Hamas started firing the rockets, they were expelling Palestinians from their home, bulldozing, inciting violence by illegal settlers, backed up by IDF! Fact- 10000 worshippers in the mosque praying on their holiest day of year, in one of the holiest place to them and they get attacked by armed soldiers with stun grenedes and rubber coated bullets! Just imagine if some Muslim army did that to any church or synagogue anywhere in the world.. just imagine the aftermath.. Fact- same week the IDF cracking down ‘violent protester everywhere, still forcing props from east Jerusalem, still building settlements in West Bank, still maintaining the blockade on Gaza, a tiny strip of land inhabited by 2 million people, small numbers of them are Hamas, who can’t even come out in day time l, stay hiding, making crude rockets or whatever they do.. fact- after the mosque attack, nobody in the world doing anything about it or will do anything about it, 1700 people were injured, So Hamas called isreal, just saying yo stop attacking and forcing civilians to be removed ethnically. Hamas gave them 24 hours to stop the violence, or they will retaliate only way they know how allowed to do how..! But natanyahu just laughed and mobilized the troops coz he knows how to provoke Hamas! I mean the whole population is beyond provocation by now. So IDF didn’t stop their assault, actually increased it a bit because natanyahu could use the sweet distraction from opposition pressure of him stepping down. Anyway nothing changed and Hamas started firing rockets, knowing 94% of it not gonna even cross! Then we see the distraction Gaza went through! Fact- isreali know every single Palestinian name and birth information and address! Fact- Israeli also claimed to have most sophisticated laser guided missiles system and the bombing .. Then why they destroyed 40000 residential housing unit? 70 schools? 11 clinics, 16 ambulance? 4 UN shelters even when UN workers called them18 times and told them not to bomb there coz of kids? So when they say they were targeting the hamas and they got precise guide system missiles and bombs? And they have all the names of the terrorist ? So why the schools, clinics, press office? Ambulance??terrorist?hmmmm.. hmmm.. most moral military in the world???only democracy in the world??and What I stated above is all facts ok? You don’t have to agree with me but you can’t just make up your version of the events or selective amount of accounts for consideration of the whole pictures!! So tell me now, is it Hamas thst the problem? Do you know who crated and funded Hamas? Isreal, to counter popularity of the PLO! Well Hamas wasn’t elected body till 2006, how about the attack before that? Hamas got elected by their own people, they are the government body of Gaza and they were funded on doing social work like schools, clinics, hospitals, university and other governmental duties while hiding from Israeli drones! Fighting back, if you can call it, is just one part of their government functionaries! By the way jimi Carter and other international body was present when Hamas won the popular vote. Seeing a 10 year old girl talking about how she feels mentaly exhausted and wish she was an adult so she could help rebuild their houses.. It pains my heart. Its sad she got to grow up that fast. Thats a very big misconception. The US gives a few billions to Israel each year which Israel then has to buy American military equipment. A few billions is nothing compared to the hundreds of billions the IDF gets from the government each year. If the US stopped funding Israel, the situation would stay the same.

Israel is one of the worlds largest recipients of foreign aid. Interesting that you focused on my comment about American aid to Israel, and provided no rebuttal for my comment about the illegal annexation of Palestinian land, and the illegal settlements in the West Bank. There is an article in the 4th Geneva convention that states it is illegal to relocate civillians into occupied territory. International law applies to every nation on earth. Including Israel.

I also think that if you care about Palestinians you should condemn Hamas. Besides the fact they are killing all opposition within Gaza and terrorising thier own population. During the operation they fired thousands of missles at Israel. I live in Tel Aviv we experienced barrages of hounderds of missiles fired at us at as a time - very scary, and some went through the defence system and destroyed buildings, we spent all that time in bomb shelters. No other country would have responded to it in a different manner (I think most countries' response would have been far more aggressive), plus it is pretty clear that without Iron Dome we would have had hounderds of casualties. I feel bad for innocent people in Gaza and we should avoid hurting them, but Hamas is doing all they can to harm innocent people on both sides, firing from populated areas into populated areas. You should condemn Hamas if you care about Palestinians.

Yes, israel shuold apologize cuz its stronger ? Do you know how many missiles were launched from Gaza into Israel? Missile without directional capability, towards civilian population, the only difference between us is that we only attack places of missile launches or weapons depots (which by the way Hamas hides in places like schools and hospitals) and that Israel has developed the ability to defend itself

Now I ask you, is it okay for thousands of rockets to be launched into Israel every few years? By the way, there is an area where Hamas until recently launched rockets every few months / weeks. Is that okay?

Every time I happen to come across a Palestinian, I just want to hug them so tight and tell them how much I'm sorry. Nobody is on their side, whatsoever, cause that'll trigger their Israeli/US international relations. In the big picture, it really sounds like Palestinians VS the world (Not Israel).
