For the first time i never saw any bad comments or fights between INDIA and PAKISTAN in any of the comments. Being an Indian I wish we have peace like this between both the countries and also the whole nation

I love how both Pakistan and India can mostly relate with food! 🥺♥️🫂

Nihari was developed in Old Delhi, India, during the reign of the Mughal Empire. Muslim Nawabs (Noblemen) would eat Nihari after their sunrise prayers (Fajr), after which they would take naps until the afternoon Muslim prayers (Zhuhr). It later became a regular breakfast dish for the working class due to its energy-boosting properties. Nihari used to be slow-cooked overnight in large pots in order to be given to labourers when they participated in the substantial construction projects sanctioned by the empire. Nihari was served free to labourers. After Pakistan was formed and partitioned from India in 1947, a huge wave of immigrants from Delhi settled in Karachi. As many of these immigrants were already involved in the food industry, restaurants were quickly established in Karachi. But many good Indian muslims stayed back and continued the food industry in Delhi. When classically prepared, Nihari used to take approximately 6-8 hours just to stew, not to mention preparation time. Thankfully, with the help of modern technology and methods, it is much easier achieve the same result in less time. Love from Delhi. Speaking for myself (an Indian), I long for the day when I can drive freely across the border to Lahore for some of the awesome street food, then come back and have awesome parathas for breakfast in Amritsar the next morning. One can dream, right?

This comparison of food from the two nations is ABSURD in my opinion. Both the countries have rich history when it comes to food. Although you can compare Our(Indian) food with Pakistani only to certain extent like the similar cuisines.. but the prep style, the ingredients, the influence of the local people plays a crucial role and it factors into shaping the cuisine. Glad to see people aren't fighting and proving how "they" cook the best of these dishes. Every place has its own version and flavour, some may like or not like it. I am from Delhi, I also claim we have the best dishes especially non-veg, but same goes for Lucknowi or Hyderabadis, they also claim the same thing. I have tasted Pakistani version of Biryani also, it was scrumptious, can't say big difference but yes sabka apna apna zaika hota hai. He should have chosen Karachi for biryani and nihari, could have been a better competition. Anyway, love from India to all the Pakistanis here. May Allah bless you. As a Pakistani, I always wanted to explore Indian dishes because no doubt it seems mouthwatering 😋. Both the countries have good taste. Massive respect for all of them!!

Nihari is a stew originating in Lucknow, India so try it in Lucknow and your mind will be blown away

Being an Indian I have some information about Biryani, In india main 4 cities have traditional Biryani 1. Hyderabad 2. Lucknow 3. Kolkata 4. Old Delhi, all of them are unique with with some changes, "Nahari" in india can be found in Lucknow which is similar to Pakistan Nahari, but it's buffalo/mutton Nahari both options are available.

Though i am an Indian but still I'll say it's the matter of geographical location. In some places we eat too spicy in some places its less spicy or the use of other spices as well differs. Food from Pakistan is equally good as from india. Its the just matter of perception.

I agree. Plus comparing Dilli Jama Masjid Heavyweights with what looks like a restaurant chain(not sure), that looks to specialise more in tandoori, in Islamabad would not be fair. I just hope relations between our countries normalise so we can visit the rich cultures across the border. Love to my Pakistani bros from India👋

I think if he would have gone to say Lahore maybe there would have been a tight competition because I've heard food of Lahore is the best as compared to Islamabad anyway hoping everything between our nations sort out so that someday we could visit each other's nation and have some amazing food

My best biryanis is from Madurai. I forgot all about hyderabadi biryanis in an instant . It was a small shop and my auto driver took me there but I can’t never forget the experience of true biryanis.

When I was with the US Navy, we was told not to eat in India. The only country we are advised not to eat local food because they don't have clean water.

Am totally amazed I'm an Indian Love to see comments of my brothers and sisters from Pakistan Love you guys

I am an Indian but I can certainly say one shop does not represent the whole country but no matter India or Pakistan.. Mughlai cuisine is love ❤

Fun fact: Biryani is a Persian food brought by Persian Muslims to South Asia

After seeing the biryani I delt very hungry and decided to have tonight's dinner at my favorite restaurant 😋

Im so happy that somebody finally compared the good thing about both countries , the food. I'm from Pakistan and I always thought that the food was same in both countries as they used to be one but now I know that the taste is not the same and I'm so tempted to try the Indian food. Being an INDIAN i had to admit PAKISTANI nihari was looking tempting and delicious and was looking not extreme spicy even the beef was looking tender,BIRYANI one can understand was looking average from both cities because DELHI and ISLAMABAD not known for BIRYANIS I guess KARACHI biryanis are world famous had not tried personally looking from videos it looked delicious all the time,Had tried PAKISTANI BIRYANI from PAK LIYARI restaurant dubai which make world best biryani!!!!!

Filipino here and I love Biryani. My mother once craved for this but I couldn't find an instant masala powder ☹ even basmati rice is too expensive here. so I just looked for an easier way to cook it even without the masala, and thank God my mom liked it.

Most commercial places in india don't use basmati rice for biryani. What he's having is actually called 'golden Sela'. A type of par boiled rice Verity. Basmati tends to be too long and fragile and is okay if done in smaller quantities. Also Sela rice is cheaper.

That shop opens at 4:30am probably because 4am is azan time and muslims tend to eat breakfast just after azan.

Hyderabadi Biryani, Haleem, Nihari all date back to the Mughal empire and were served as delicacies. Most of the desi dishes you eat now in either India or Pakistan have the same origins and pretty much the same spices, having said that, mannn I would love to visit India one day. It would’ve been really tough for you to choose one over the other. Absolutely love your content.
