When I lived in London Cobra was the most famous Indian Beer but it's made in Britain not in India, Cobra and Effes (Turkish) were my go to beers , I remember back in 2004 the owner of Cobra Beer Karan Faridoon Bilimoria was also invited to the Queens Birthday, unfortunately Cobra beer is not sold in India.

Being an Indian, I can literally smell all these dishes through my screen. Sadly, all I can eat is my upma.

I don't usually enjoy mukbangs but this one was so satisfying because the food looked incredible, they looked good and their enthusiasm is palpable. Which is saying a lot since enthusiasm is their entire brand. It was next level here.

Had proper Indian food in Abu Dhabi. Best dining experience of my life.

As an Indian, can I just add something: we use our hands to eat most meals as we believe, food and eating is a sensory delight and we try to engage all our senses to enjoy it to the best. The visually captivating colors, the spices and flavor, the smell, the texture, everything adds up and makes a meal better. Eating with our hands is just one more way of engaging our senses through physical touch, being more sensitive and having an overall sensory experience.

very true. the side taste of the metal that cutlery leaves in the mouth spoils a lot of that experience. and it's no less hygienic granted one washes their hands properly before the meal which one should do anyway regardless of if you eat with or without cutlery.

I could never get by how incredibly sweet the desserts are. My ex's family made one that was basically crystalized honey, fried and dipped in honey.

With all of the Eastern Indians in Texas, there must be something of that caliber here somewhere! I have to find it!

well any traditional/everyday meals cooked by a recognized professional chef, the 'best' there is, don't come close to your regular everyday experience. Cooking is like chemistry and can be mastered.

For all those curious, “Methi Mutter” is paneer and peas (mutter / matar = peas) in a creamy fenugreek (methi = fenugreek) curry although the paneer is optional (it’s not even in the name!)
