Pak-Mor Rear Loaders Collecting Bulk Trash

The city of San Diego recently had it's annual spring clean-up event at the Qualcomm stadium. City residents can bring anything they need to get rid of here, and it will get collected for free. We showed up here at around 10 am, and the line of cars wrapped around the parking lot. Once we got permission to film, we had a great time watching various items get packed. We stayed until about 12:30 or so, and I left with about 45 minutes of footage. I thought i'd post the most interesting shots I captured here, so enjoy!

@ 3:08 a WM Mack MR FL passes by. Everything gets separated from scrap metal, to non hazardous waste, & hazardous waste, etc. Great footage too.
Nice! This was on my list to film but nowhere near the top so oh well. Maybe next year.

Hey, I would of taken those nice outdoor vinyl chairs. Some of that stuff should of gone to Mexico to be reused.

Great video brother. Those packers are powerful and really pack tight. How many yards are they? The unloading service is really excellent too. Such a help to all the people taking their bulky stuff. These men and women do an outstanding job.
8:48 Dude. When you need to rent a Budget 24' Box truck to get rid of your garbage, you need to increase the frequency of your home cleaning routine.

yes: Amreps arrived, Scorpions just made.

Pak Mors are in the 140's which are brand new CNG trucks. We are currently as high as the 390's in regards to CNG side loaders. More CNG's are coming to replace the remaining Autocar diesel trucks and any leftover RL's. Plan is to have all of them replaced once the CNG fueling station is complete. Once done, 152 CNG trucks can be fueled all at once.
Great clip !! Do they do this way of collecting bulk AT central place also these days? Great oportunity for fantastic clips... Hope you can get more of it... 😉

I bet it's because it's so new and hasn't been beaten to crap yet like most of their trucks.

fastest 13 minutes ever. Always enjoy seeing what these trucks are capable of. Scrap metal is easily my favorite to see packed away, especially those water heaters. Surprised me to see the new Pak-Mors are diesel, but I guess their new Amreps are too. Do they have any plans to go natural gas soon or are they going to stick with diesel for as long as possible? Nice video

+WasteManTony Thank you! Their whole fleet is currently diesel, but they recently ordered a bunch of CNG Pak Mors, and 3 CNG Scorpions.

People who take scrap metal there are throwing away money. If you've already got it in the truck, why not take it to scrap metal recycling and get paid for your load instead of paying for the wear and tear on San Diego's sanitation trucks, LOL
