    That is why it so hard for some or many to declutter what they dont need cause they give value to stuff that can be replaced unless u have good reason to keep any. but sometimes if u know u used the item for so long and have no reason to keep then try donate or give to others to know it still gonna be used any. some rather just toss then to try give away for any reason.

    Incineration of that is a terrible idea. Very dirty energy. All that plastic burns with much soot residue. Doesn't burn clean at all. I have to think coal is a cleaner fuel than that.

  • @pistolcrossbow

    @pistolcrossbow

    4 жыл бұрын

    @@Tiqerboy It indeed is, Not everything burns the first time it goes through the incinerator. about 30 kilometers from where i live is a sorting line where they sort out the metals after incineration but you can see the piles of ash from the road en there is a lot of unburned stuff within. The incinerator has filters build in so the soot and other harmfull fumes are not releashed in the air. it works pretty good actualy i think, There is a incinerator on a road where i regulary drive and on a cold day the only thing you see comming out the chimney is steam.

  • @Tiqerboy

    @Tiqerboy

    4 жыл бұрын

    It just sounds like a ridiculously inefficient way to generate electricity. Sure the fuel is practically free but that's where it ends. The filters have to be cleaned periodically and the ashes are highly toxic and have to be buried. They would be far better off recycling. For electricity generation, solar is a much cleaner and better option. Maybe they don't get enough sun in the Netherlands to make it work well, though.

  • @pistolcrossbow

    @pistolcrossbow

    4 жыл бұрын

    @@Tiqerboy They use the ashes in road construction to make asphalt if i remember. Pretty stupid i think, There is lead and other toxic chemicals and heavy metals in it that probarly spill out when it rains (And thrust me, It can rain a lot over here). Solar power is indeed much cleaner, The last years the have build a lot of solar parks over here in The Netherlands. They where waaaaaay behind in comparison with other European countries. They also build a huge wind energy park on the sea about 25 Km away from the shore. There is indeed not much sun here, But in the summer it can be pretty sunny and hot so there is a lot of energy generated. They actualy still have some coal power plants but they plan to shut most of them down because of the co2. And they do have a nuclear power plant but it's way to small for powering the whole country and a lot of people are against a new one.

    What a rip off. Over here in some cities you have to pay when you book a bulk waste collection. in most large cities and a lot of smaller ones it is still for free. I think if they make everyone pay they will just ditch their trash on the street, Especially in the large cities. where i live there are also special sites where you can sort your waste and put it in special containers like: Wood, Metals, Paper, E-waste etc.

    Think about all the time and effort it took to gather the raw materials needed to make these items, refine them, work them into usable parts, assemble them, and then ship them to stores. Then somebody spent money that they earned from trading in their time on this earth to purchase them, only for it all to end up smashed to bits, destined to be buried in a pit, never to be seen again or even recovered for re-use. Just gone forever. After all that.

    I think that they should have allowed the compactor to finish compacting and clearing the hopper before adding more stuffs into the hopper so as to prevent the possibility of jamming and damaging the compactor.

    That doesn‘t affect the compactor wear at all, it is better having to cycle less with a full hopper.

    @@laurin4339 I think that the packing can also be neater if the hopper is not overloaded. In order to prevent unwanted spillage caused by bursting of the bags due to improper compaction as a result of the compactor blade dragging the bags and tearing them, the compactor blade should ideally be able to sweep the contents in the hopper in just one scoop motion.

    @@ElevationLowJJ Well there is not that much spilling going along in the video and I don‘t think there is anything wrong with the blade tearing the bags in the hopper bowle. Rule number one is always pack with a loaded hopper to reduce wear. Oh and the truck packs the trash better when there is a lot of trash being compacted in one sweep.

    Yes! Just pure greed and selfish people. If they can't sell the items they have then why not allow them to be used by someone else for free. Money to buy these items when new=wasted, production, use of resources to create=wasted, logistics to transports to shops=wasted!!!! Even this fuckin truck is wasted burning fuel to just destroy the items, dump it all smashed up and totally unusable then. Sad times man
