Lets look at the techniques, methods, and processes of creating a Cezanne painting. Cezanne certainly stuck out amongst his peers, and had little desire to become part of the burgeoise Paris art scene. Instead, he longed for Mont St Victoire and his home in Southern France, where he painted incessently. In this video I make my attempt at my own Cezanne painting, by looking at some details of his works, and then attempting to imitate them myself. Everything, including the speed of the brush is important to consider when approaching one of these copies.
Grab your paints and go! While it may be difficult to follow along, it could be fun to attempt it. Make my painting time, your painting time, and paint along with me. We can do it Bob Ross style. For this painting I was using Cadmium Yellow, Cadium Red, Pthalo Blue, Titanium White, and Ivory Black. This palette will help reproduce the organic and earthy tones we associate with Cezanne's work.
