Ok I've just got to leave a comment. It seems I just discovered, that there is something else than Bob Ross techniques ... and I am so impressed. I am a beginner, though my passion is incredible big to painting in oil. At the moment I am trying to mix different techniques and I just wanted to give my utmost appreciation to you for sharing your wisdom with us newbies. Thanks and top work ! Honestly I am deeply impressed. Greetings from Vienna 😊

I started with William Alexander, (Ross's teacher), and loved it, for a while, then I wanted more control, more of me in the painting, but I do still us his technique for blocking in.

Grass is one of the things I’m still struggling with at the moment but slowly getting better with the help of these videos. Have you ever done any stormy paintings before? Would love to see an atmospheric tutorial for angry skies and perhaps even some lightning and rain.

There you are SirMikey! Was just turning on your channel, fretting about the quietness in posting something new when 💥, "Hello? I've got a new lesson for you!" And surely i'tis! My goodness the complexity, my friend.... Layers and layers and layers... without cheating with tree&texture and fan base, all liner drawing. I bet you could do justice drawing each and every wind driven rain drop to portray a hurricane. Have ya ever tested on a mechanism just how lightly your brush touches (I fear maybe only the ball of paint at the tip actually meets canvas, no hairs ever). I'm always astonished 😮 at your 🪄. And my worthless self is infinitely grateful for the precise lesson and the smidgen of your face presence, a glimpse of your bright demeanor. Fixing to turn 70, and your youthfulness is so contagious 😋. This'll do me, practicing grasses for awhile more but don't take advantage and make me wait for another dollop of energy. ❤ to you, your wifey, 3 boys (grown now aren't they), poopy, and staff.

Very sweet painting/mini tutorial, I'm wondering did the client ask for it on paper? I'm pretty sure you would have used a board of some sort (I don't remember what you call them) I hope you're family and you are staying refreshed and I hope end of autumn into winter goes great for you. Also so I can reference you better in the future are you from the UK, I'm not sure of accents. Dave from Canada
