This is probably a dumb question, but do you varnish your work/have suggestions for doing so? I am a landscape painter in atx and have no formal training. I have never used varnish or anything and honestly don't know how important it is to do so...

When I saw you paint those 'veins' on those leaves, I suddenly realized that I've always struggle to make things look random. It always falls in some kind of pattern which is very obvious at the first glance...So now I wonder if my brain can't handle tasks such as those or is it just a common thing with humans in general?
