You do so many beautiful paintings that I just love, but for some reason this is one of my absolute faves! It's simple but has so many nuances, and I love those granulating paints for the "clay" pots. No need for a background, spatter, or anything else to enhance the piece. Thanks, Emma!

I love them! I’m always looking for some small, simple watercolor ideas to use on greeting cards when I find myself suddenly needing a card and don’t have one. I feel like these all together or even singular on a card would be perfect! Definitely saving this video! Thank you for sharing! You asked for ideas…a video on simple illustrations for greeting cards!

Love this and would love to see more illustration style art videos. I was gifted a bunch of Daniel Smith granulating paints and love them but struggle with how to use them. They’re beautiful colors and many times I just make mixes on my paper to see how they mingle together. I’m going to try this. Seems very relaxing. Thanks for sharing Emma. You always inspire me.

It's always nice to hear how artist who thought granulating watercolors weren't for them, change their mind. I too thought transparency had to be everything and now use both kinds of Watercolors in my daily Palette!

This tutorial is so encouraging for a beginning watercolor painter. I would love to see more smaller painting tutorials as I use my paintings to create greeting cards for friends and relatives. I am enthralled with the granulation of the darker Potter’s Pink. While I cannot afford the complete paint sets, I thought that I would purchase a few colors, but the deep Potters Pink was not offered. I will check periodically to see if they offer it in the future. I also decided that because they are pricey for me (I am 78 years young and living on a fixed income) that as an incentive to painting every day, if I do that these paints will be my reward. I like the floral and still life paintings, but I know that I will enjoy anything you paint. Thank you for this great tutorial and I look forward to more.

This is a great tutorial! Love all of the potted plants. You make it look so easy. I'm going to try these for sure. I do love the way the granulated paints and paper give so much texture to the pots. These would be great to use for cards, hang tags or placed in a small frame for a tiered tray. Please do more of these small designs. Thank you Emma!

You are such a good artist. You can paint it, without drawing it first. I've noticed you did that before too. Those mini pot's and plant's are so cute! I've got to try them too. Thank you for such great video's.

Thank you so much for doing these little pots. The page you used on the pots remind me a bit of the graphite set from kuretake. I haven't tried it yet but I think that might be a decent alternative if you don't have the other paint set or any paint set that has some decent granulation.

Paints are interesting. Love the granulation! And, if anyone can demonstrate their potential it’s you! Lovely work. Wondering if the paints include some gouache, particularly after you added the light green highlights to the last 🪴 painted.

This is a no-buy year for me unless I'm replacing something or see something really gorgeous and unique. And these are gorgeous and unique. Ugh😂

I love doing these little types of paintings. I paint everyday - but filling whole pages of sketchbooks is intimidating. At least with these types of paintings I can grid off the page and put a bunch of little paintings on each page. Thank you for sharing your thoughts on Arkaar Creations Paint as well.

I love little paintings like this. I’ve been really sick and not well enough to sit up and paint so I prop myself up on my pillow and drew the cutest flowers to paint. I got a set of Ocean Paper watercolors from Hawaii and I’m using it to paint them. They are so creamy and beautiful!! I would love to see you painting more. If we could post pictures on KZread I would share a picture with you of my watercolor.

Can’t wait to try this one. I have kitty cats. They eat any plants I get. Did you know Lego has many flowers to buy and put together and my cats can’t eat them. Now I shall try these. They haven’t eaten any of my flowers I have painted although I give most away or they are in my drawer.

Emma…these little potted plants are so cute! I enjoy watching your videos! One question…where did you get your large bullnose clip that you use to keep your journal open? Ones that i have tried either are not big enough or they leave indentations in my paper. Thanks for sharing!

I always wonder why don’t you put your color palette on the right side of your work so you’re not crossing your arm across the piece you’re working on plus the camera? Wouldn’t this be easier?
