Excellent teaching series! One of the best tutorial demos I've ever seen on youtube. Loved how u gracefully paced all these techniques in stages perfectly while thoroughly explaining. You should do more tuturials like this. You're an amazing teacher who could benefit no matter their skill levels for improvement. I began doing some watercolor painting with zero skills and this is exactly what I needed to advance. Thank you!

Draw a square with an x in the middle, paint over this with your chosen paint to discover its opacity. If you clearly see the x, its transparent, see the x but not as well its semi transparent. If you can't see the x its opaque. It matters to me because if you want to see through your paint, to alower earlier layers visually blend and you used an opaque paint, all the earlier layers would be covered. Yes day one and in early experimental days have fun and explore, but after a while, the need to know these things can make a big difference. If you've spent a long time on a project, only to find out too late, that a colour you used, didn't behave as you hope it can be very disheartening. I hear where you are coming from, learn how to recognise letters before trying to read a book analogy, but it can be expensive to find things out the hard way, when the knowledge that would help.you achieve results you are happy with, is out there.

Thank you Emma so very much for an amazing video for beginners. You have a talent for teaching watercolor. I’m learning so much from you on my watercolor journey just relaxing and having fun. The way you had your camera positioned was perfect since I was able to see what you were creating and at the right zoom level. I love your channel and its content especially the beginner friendly videos which I find most helpful! Thank you for sharing your talent and for all of the hard work and dedication that you put into your content. I appreciate you and I think you are amazing artist. Keep up the good work and have alovely weekend!🎨💕🪻🌺
