keep in mind she is just 2 months as a professional on a crappy team that misses catches or do not follow-through with 30-40% of her passes. And, her team doesn't set up enough screens and blocks for her for her to shoot. In her college years she averaged 20 shooting tries per game. Now, it is only about 10 shots per game.

The coach's approach is undermining both CC and the team. The coach seems to lack the strategy and vision necessary to develop an effective offensive and defensive plan, with the sole exception being the decision to waive Celeste Taylor's big, big mistake. This indicates a lack of understanding of the role that their coach is doing for the team. sad!

She is destroying the cure for the WNBA for fan Cancer and she is so obvious and the blaming the bleeding of the players and not taking responsibility like any Adult would do ! I think that she doesn't have any say about anything important and the coaching staff (ALL OF THEM!) need to be disciplined and Or Terminated and then find the best coach, perhaps a boy's high school or college coach that actually doesn't have any outside influence,say like (SIDES). Preferably a calm under fire kind who finds solutions on the fly, like sayCC does!)

I watched the New York game for the fever was way off on actually hitting the hoops but they , ny, were playing a great defensive game and I never saw that coach adapt the team to that play. Sorry coach you need to up your game

Let's start by making Caitlin guard the other teams guards! If she has that ability and skill set we could run Temi or Katie Lou in the lineup instead of Wallace. For you Iowa fans, those are other players on the Fever.

No. that's not going to happen. The D>C> team is last now, and will be last at the season's end. They will make sure they keep losing so they can get the 1st pick.

Stupid sides will bench her if she misses too much, scream to shoot, scream to pass, she’s not doing that constantly with the rest of the team, very few plays, very few good screens, no constant shooter to pull defenses

Easy.... Fire Coach CS. CC is the Golden Goose and she has the 3 pointer, passing, rebounding and popularity. So everybody who disagree, STOP. Chicago vs Atlanta, 3,250 attendance and Indiana vs Atlanta, 17,250 attendance. Let's give CC the credit she deserve and stop being delusional.

Both Paige Bueckers and Hailey Van Lith held back until next year so as not to compete with CC at the draft. There are coaching issues with plays. Sides pulling Wheeler to the sidelines was a good start.

You need to watch all the plays and players, .....WHO has the ball and is directing the plays on the court? Open your eyes.. Talk is being floated, comparing the woman from the Sky...(Resse)..to Clark..... for Rookie of the year....Not even close. Resse is good at rebounding, and she should be....she's 6'3, look at her (Resse), run the floor, pass the ball, play the positions in the entire plays. She's average, not great. So she shouldn't even be in the same room with Clark.

Paige Buecker speaks the truth, about Caitlin Clark's contributions to the Wnba's league, and firing coach Christie Sides would do wonders for Caitlin Clark's career and also help the Indiana Fever team's chances for success.

Her coach should allow her to shoot more! She should be getting 30 points a game with her shooting! This would probably help her team win more! The coach is working Against Clark!!! Fire this coach!!

Ms. Sides needs to be replaced with a real coach who understands CC's playing methods.

CC is a part of a TEAM. It has to be a Team effort. Even if CC doesn't get a shot. Others on the TEAM really needs to step up because the further they go into the season CC may fewer and fewer chances to even get a shot

And CC needs to give a better effort on defense. Jogging back on defense is not a good look. The better teams will fast break and if Caitlin can't help the TEAM on defense she'll continue to make winning very difficult

This video was posted July 5th. CC has now had a "Triple Double" playing the current #1 WNBA team "New York Liberty". That's WNBA history in the making for a rookie! She came with-in 1 rebound of having a "Triple Double" playing DT's Mercury team a few days before. CC is on FIRE and I don't see her cooling off. One thing the veterans didn't take into account is CC is EXTREMELY competitive! She accepted the challenge from the veterans that dismissed her ability to play with the professional women of the WNBA, well that's settled now! LOL

It's unbelievable that people at first saying the coach is not letting CC shoot more. Now the people are getting upset because Coach wants her to shoot more. MAKE UP YOUR MIND You want CC to shoot more or less??? "UNBELIEVABLE"!!!!

@907kat well, all coaches blame their players in one way or other,,, in Football they say our offense or defense got to do better,,, in Hockey they say the players need to be more physical or play better defensively,, NBA is consistently saying the same stuff as Coach Sides say,,, and like in every sport the Coaches say they got to do better too, like Coach Sides have also said in interviews,,, And I never heard Coach Sides call out anybody personally in a BAD way,, she calls out the whole team as one entity in that way,,, which at times the players deserves it (My opinion),,,

Green coach, green team, and early into a rookie season. Given the hand she's been dealt into the WNBA, it's going to take awhile to age well, but eventually everyone will realize Caitlin is the real deal, both on and off the court.

Glad you mentioned Paige. Did your subscribers know that the Big East (Paige's conference) sent 3 teams to March Madness? Did they also know that the Big Ten (CC's conference) sent 7 teams to March Madness. That ought to quiet some don't you think? When UConn played Iowa 2023.. they had 2 WNBA on their team. In 2024, they were missing 1 of those.. A. Boston who was 1st pick in 2023. Interesting stats when you start digging below all the noise.

Changing a coach during the season is virtually never a good idea unless there are extraordinary circumstances. Just go back and see how often it is done in any sport. And, there is more to this than just replacing the coach. The Fever organization would be better served by planning ahead to make the replacement of both the GM and the coach as soon as the season is over but before the draft. For the most part, the whole coaching staff may need to be replaced. The new GM and coach selected will need to be proven talent evaluators and share a clear vision of what they want the team to look like 2-4 years out and how they will build that. You need to ask whether the ownership of the Fever have the experience to properly execute this transition. If they admit what they don’t know and select the correct talent to lead this effort, it can be successfully executed. Even though we are not hearing much now, that’s as it should be, the action plan should be in motion now behind the scenes. If not, we will see soon enough. Beyond the Fever, it will be interesting to see what changes are coming at the WNBA level. What does the NBA feel needs to be done to put a WNBA management team in place to take full advantage of the unique opportunity to be presented as opposed to wasting it with incessant foot dragging coming from the current “we’re OK” management team”. You can bet the NBA owners are not looking to continue subsidizing the WNBA at the current annual rate. The first excuse they are given, they will start to make changes and they already have a number of excuses from the behavior demonstrated so far this season. The interesting part of this is how many WNBA senior leadership are already “Dead People Walking” and don’t realize it. Execution will require finesse to prevent blowing the league up. As DT said - This should be interesting.

Paige understands the value of eyes on the game. If some of those envious players could set aside their egos Clark could bring in money for all the players.

Yes, Caitlin has to be more aggressive, especially when the rest of the team is not shooting well. Then when her team around her is enaged, then Caitlin can take on her "Magic Johnson" mode and balance it off like that. And Yes, Christie Sides is an excellent coach and what she said is true. Caitlin has to take more shots and make as many as she can. Christie Sides is right on point with what she said. If any one is supporting Caitlin Clark it is Christie Sides but you know and I know, when a team loses a game, fans always blame the coach. Most fans don't even know what a great coach entails. Just because a team wins does not mean that the coach is great and just because a team loses does not mean the coach is no good. Look at all the positive growth the Indiana Fever have had over such a short period of time. This team will only get better, maybe slowly, but surely, for sure! And when it comes crunch time, look out!

Why would fans be offended by Sides comments? She wants Caitlin to get more shots, they need the scoring. The Flames need to decide what are good shot shots, they need to make free throws, and play better team defense. They are getting better. The ridiculous opening 3 week schedule (too many games) was exactly NOT what a young team needed. They needed practice time to work on their deficiencies. Caitlin has brought many new fans to the sport, which is great. Many only have a superficial knowledge of the game. They will figure it out. Sides is doing OK. Give it a rest.

Sides always shifts blame to Caitlin for her own incompetence. If she really wants Caitlin to shoot like Curry, then she needs to study the Warriors offense. Instead of running the same plays repeatedly and not adapting to the other team's counter against your general strat.

Clark is doing for the WNBA what Larry Bird did for the NBA in 1979.

She was the player of the year as a freshman, which I think has never been done before in Women's college basketball. Bueckers helped the WNCAA become a little more popular, and Clark took that popularity and brought it to unprecedented heights. If Bueckers becomes player of the year next year, she might be the antagonist Clark and the WNBA needs to keep the interest going for next year.
