Thanks for the informative review. WRT the 40 mm size PD likely went that way to accommodate a greater number of customers. I have a 7.25 wrist making a 42 the absolute maximum for me.

They are both great and so different it is tough to decide.

It certainly does look like a nice watch for the money. And while the cyclops is a nice improvement over V2, I think they went too far and made the magnification too much. This makes it hard to view the date from any angle except "straight on." I think the reason they made it slightly smaller is because most people don't have large wrists, and want a smaller watch. 42mm might be ideal for you, but for most people 38 to 40mm wears better. Overall, a nice update and a good value.

I bought the V2 for its good looks. I was a little nervous about a Chinese knock off but PD has lots of positive reviews so I took a chance. The fit and finish were great and it worked fine, for four days. Then It just quit. It took awhile but I finally got my money back.

Nice Watch with amazing specs for the money (spells "value"). You have mentioned the pros and a con, but the only real con in my opinion is that hands are too small (not in proportion to the dial and watch). A pity since they could have easily made them larger; and resulting also in a better lume.

The different shades of grey on the indices are a total deal breaker for me. Otherwise i would have bought this one, the new design of E2 in the old case size is just a winner.. but why couldn't the indices have been white? Or at least same grey, 12/3/6 & 9 even fade faster in lume test because they are darker.. anyway, great review! Keep it up!

Thre should be a 45mm version for those of us with aging eyes.

No. Not very familiar with the brand so if I have seen any I probably missed the resemblance.

My pd1762 faint lume on hands, zero lume on hour marks. Return or refund.

So this watch was originally designed to tell the time in a tight, dark area where the sun don't shine?

That was the original intent back when stainless steel Rolex's were considered premium tool watches and not luxury items that you wouldn't dare take into a cave.

-17s/Day, movement is not adjusted. Really disappointed by PD. They assemble lot of watches, but that's all.

Pagani Design makes no claim of regulating their movements. The NH34"s tolerance is published as +40/-20 so this one does fall within tolerance just barely.

I don't really get it why would you want to wear fake watches. Calling it an homage just means it's fake. This one is even triple fake. It is not an explorer II, it is not a Porsche design and it has nothing to do with Pagani. So sad honestly.

Watch brands copy each other all the time. Look at Seiko, Casio, Tissot, ... They all got some sort of Rolex sub variant and more. These hommage watches are like that, except they do use the same design almost completely. It's not like they put Rolex on their watch. If one happens to like they Rolex explorer 2 but doesnt want to spend 8.000 dollars for it, these watches are a great alternative.

@@stijnpeusens2798 Sure you can find things which are copied between real brands also but they are not straight copies and luckily these brands have some great options which perfectly stand on their own. And so my question remains why would you buy something like this one here. The only value it has comes from the fact it looks like a Explorere II. When you get it you still don't have an explorer 2 and you can maybe fool someone from afar but once you look at it........ But even when you have. a great fake watch it is still a fake so you can fool people and act as if you have money. But are you really happy with it? You still know it is a fake that can't really feel good honestly. One of my friends has some of these well made fake watches but in the end we all know they are fake anyway. I would respect him a lot more in his choices if he got a SKX007 for example. You can find great watches at all kind of prices don't go for fakes, replica or hommage. Get something real you like.

No, a fake would say Rolex on it. The word Homage has come to mean any watch that deliberately looks like a more famous watch. You don't have the authority to declare otherwise. We buy and wear them because it is fun.

@@philipmoriau599 I understand your point of view, but these are not to trick people in thinking you have a lot of money and can afford a 'rolex'. At least not for me. Those who buy these hommages and pretend they have a rolex, are just dumb. People who are not into watches, won't even notice your watch. Those who are, will notice it and from close they will definetly see it's pagani and not rolex. I own this watch myself, they are well made, high level of finishing and the TMI nh34 is accurate. I didn't even know that this watch was a hommage of a explorer II when I saw it on aliexpress, I just liked the look of it and saw the specs (sapphire, AR coating, nh34, good finishing, ...). If someone asks me what watch I am wearing, I have no problem at all telling them it's a pagani. Some are even amazed by the quality and how 'cheap' these watches are.

@@funwithwatches7549 The only thing the word hommage is so that they don't get sued as quickly by the brands and have all of their stock destroyed or impounded by customs. An Hommage is to show respect and esteem. How do you do that by making a low quality copy? That is actually quite disrespectful. And I'm sure you have fun with them but to have fun you don't need these fakes.
