I bought this watch V4. Clasp is horrible. The safety lock is very clumsy and doesn’t lock with a click . Can open and close easily. Second lock is very hard to open as I need to give more pressure to my nail to open up and I always get a horrible feeling when I use my nail with pressure. Movement is not accurate and so need to take to a watch maker to adjust. Watch is beautiful. You need to take some extra step to make it perfect after buying this watch. No regrets but not 100 % satisfied

It is a great design and those dimensions are perfect. The price is also great.

Hi John. In a way I think it’s interesting what’s been happening the last couple of years. Chinese micro brands improving their fit and finish but still doing direct homage. I’m hopeful some brands will take the finishing knowledge and eventually start doing original designs. That’s my hope anyhow.

Hey do you think this watch wears slightly larger than 40mm suggests? I have nearly an 8 inch wrist and I'm more used to 42/44mm cases. But would love to buy this one if it doesn't look too small in your opinion. Thanks!

Great review, Eric! A nice watch , although , as a homage, it looks , how should I put it… toy-like. Must be the proportions, and colors, especially on the dial. Great value, though! and let’s hope the new version lasts longer than the previous!!

Hello LIS. Yea, that’s the thing about homage watches. The looks are already decided before they even start. I have mixed feelings about them but understand a lot of people like the looks of an expensive watch but don’t have or want to spend that kind of money on a watch. Thanks for watching. I never understand what people mean when they say a watch looks "toy like". It looks like a Rolex Explorer II. Saying "toy like" just sounds stupid-like.

Hello Emmepi37. It’s very confusing because each vendor on AliExpress seems to call the version number differently. Some refer to it as V2 and others v3. If you’re looking at buying it, I recommend taking a close look at the specs and make sure it has the NH34 movement. That is the newest version. Hope that helps

Your model is the latest model i think, with bigger indexes and also bigger orange GMT hand. I just checked AliX, i found V2 with DG5833 Pearl. So you're model is beyond V2, V3 or V4 lol. Anyway, thx for the review.

Hi, thank you for this wonderful review. I went to Ali Express and found the same watch in V4. Looks like the main improvement is the lume, while the movement and overall dimensions stay the same. What do you think about the V4?

Hello kabysummit5801. I haven’t seen the V4 in person. I think there were only a few issues with the V3, that being the short minute hand, some people may not like the cyclops window and then of course, the fact it’s an homage. If you’re ok with those points then it seems like you should like the v4. Better lume is always an improvement. Thanks for watching. 👍

After recent checking, I saw that some sellers are claiming that their latest "V4" has longer/bigger hands and improved 'flatter' indices, ie. closer to the original. Do you have any confirmation of this? Because I'm interested if this V4 is indeed an improved version.

@@96kyh hello 96kyh. I haven’t seen the next version of this watch. The one i reviewed was the V3 2023 version. If they made the minute hand longer, that would be an improvement. But i haven’t seen the newer version myself. Sorry i can’t be of more help to you.

Hello booensington. I saw a lot of contradictory information online about what version number is the new one. That’s why I’m the video I simply said the 2023 model. Try and avoid the confusion. Oh, just realized you may need referring to my video title card. Thanks. I’ll update that.

I’m not a fan of cyclops. They make watches look clunky and childlike. Regarding the short hour hand, I agree it is a bit too short. However this is a homage watch, and the Rolex has exactly the same minute hand length. (Come on Rolex, sort yourself out! Lol)

Couldn't agree more. Even on a bad brain day, I'd never need to check the date more than a couple of times in a single day. And even then, it just takes a bit more of a closer look. It doesn't need to knock your eyes out every time you check the time. I did see someone selling theirs on eBay, where they removed the cyclops completely. It looked much better :)

That cyclop eye looks horrible. I wish watch makers would stop thinking we're half blind 😢

They make them for blind people like me lol😎. I do agree with you though . To me they just look like a annoying water droplet that I want to constantly wipe off.

@@catalinsoare1261 Plenty of videos on how to remove a cyclops. Just get a propane torch and heat it for a few seconds, then take an exacto and scrape at it. The glue will liquify, and the cyclops will pop off. If you do it wrong you shatter or scratch the crystal, fry the movement, or burn the bezel insert. Don't do it wrong. Also, don't pop the cyclops into your own eye.
