Fear the stairs. Don't go near them, don't touch them and certainly don't go up them.

This trail is beautiful but definitely creepy.. hiked a portion of it last year and it gets creepy quiet all of a sudden out of nowhere along many parts...

Well, it seems Mommy dearest found a cruel way to bring back her dead husband by sacrificing her son to the Baba Yaga. Now that's some fucked up, cold, and calculated shit right there on her part. You already fell bad for Kevin because he's lost in the woods for so long. So, it's only natural to feel dreadfully sad when you find out the reason why.

There are a lot more but these are the only ones I can remember off the top of my head.

He’s definitely lost, and also, he was in no way prepared properly for any trek. He struck out with no more than a compass, bold, possibly not the best idea. But damn, this narrator knows how to get some panic across the screen, and into me...Boy, and I thought my mom was nasty. Damn bro!

Sun rises East, sets West. Orient yourself with your map and go from there. Climb to the top of a tall tree to get a layout of the land. Terrifying ordeal for certain.

Hey Skott, I don't know if you have noticed it, but the video is extremely slow (in the beginning), not the audio, just the visual. Am guessing you have probably got the fps (frames per second) set too low a figure. Story/narration was great though 10/10

Is there a lot of lead in the mountains of the trail he's on? If so, it can severely affect the arrow in the compass and it either only points you in one and the direction with the most iron ore or it just spins in a constant circle

Well, if following the compass was getting him lost, the map didn't help with trail, and the fog was just not going away after months, then maybe the answer is to use natural geology for navigation. Specifically, walk downhill to the west. The west coast has plenty of settlements between the the PCT and the Pacific ocean. Following rivine or "drainage" leads to a stream, streams lead to lakes or rivers, and rivers down often have settlements or bridges. If magic still does magic things, at least you have more food options.

3 words: personal locator beacon.

He never found 201 because that hwy doesn't cross the trail and Elkton is no where near the trail either good story though
