The message in this story about connection to the land and the damage humans have done, is brilliant. Loved this story in every way. Excellent.
I've actually encountered land spirits myself.its only a matter of time until we restore balance, or they do.

It's taken me over a year but I'm finally caught up on all your stories - all 12 years worth (although I did skip over the video games stuff)! Unfortunately, now I must wait for the next Nature's Temper reading instead of having a treasure trove of your storytelling to draw from. Anyways, this is probably a good time to say thanks for doing what you do, Skott. We all love hearing you narrate these stories. Have a great New Year!
That’s actually a Scottish accent attempt I don’t cringe at well done mate
Love this story, truly. I love the connection to the land. This reminds of the kind of story my grandmother would have told. I hope there is more, much more like this. The narration was spot on as well. ❤❤❤❤
A very good story. And I admire your narration, complete with Scottish accents.

One would expect these ancient dogmen have discernment of those that respect nature vs those only interested in exploiting her and give blessings to the innocent as they rarely are free to wander and just be.
This has been probably my favourite story. Id love to hear more like this. Bringing mythical beings from the UK's past, to life.
Truly beautiful tale, loved it ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
once was wandering in a patch of scotch pine in Wisconsin: the deep layers of pine needles were like walking on a mattress, it was so soft...memorable for the decades' difference, and the fragrance..as well linked in memory.. -nice add-on of the "ol lady voice" ;) :)
Thanks again NT!!!
WELL DONE as always!!!!!
Love the different voices and characters in this great production well done.😮scary stories are they true missing people😮
knowing that practically every bit of land on Earth that isn't straight up desert (and even some of that), tundra, or grassland used to have magnitudes more trees than it does now is something that will never stop depressing me. I'd like to think we can reforest a lot of it someday (and in fact, due to our needing to take carbon out of the atmosphere, will certainly *have* to, to some degree at least), but we have a very, very long way to go.

Scotland used to be covered with DECIDUOUS woodland d, ie Oak trees and such. There are a few small clumps left here and there but nor much. And this story is true in one respect, Scotland us owned by a handful of landowners. The monarch for one. This king fellow, who pretends to be so much on favour of ecology etc, could set an example. Reforestation the WHOLE Balmoral estate. Remove grazing animals. Plant deciduous trees. E act land reform. He's a huge landlord so ge HAS the power and influence. Whether he will, I have my doubts. Also trees planted need to be DECIDUOUS not conifers pines and such rubbish which is completely sterile and destroys wildlife instead of encouraging it.
Nailed it Again Good Sir.the background music and sounds are perfectly done.and only getting better.
Wow! Excellent story. Fabulous narration. ❤❤❤❤
That was truly an amazing story. Even though it was it was told through a story, it had so many lessons to be learned. Superb narration. Thank you 🤗 💖 🌟
I'm so happy you've done a wee Scottish story, could've been longer tho, can you do a longer one please?
I am so glad i found your page. I love it 😍
A great tale with an essential message. I love it. Thank you
Thats true, the wolves chase the deer around so they can’t stay and eat everything in any one area for hours. So at least some seedling trees and bushes get to grow to maturity in each area. When the wolves were added back into Yellowstone national park in the USA the native trees and bushes and other plants started growing back. Before it was just older trees & weeds & grass. Because the wolves were hunted out over a hundred years ago.
UK is a scary thing by itself
I just love your accent fella, so relaxing. Thank you for these stories. I'm living in SW Scotland, no far from Lockerbie. We have a story if an ancient vampire at Lochmaben Castle. Plus, Kinnmount Estate, Haunted Straight, supposed to be the most active road in Scotland.

What the island of England must've looked like about 2500 years ago...I understand much of the lower half was a temperate rainforest, similar to Pacific NW in coastal America. Which itself has been greatly reduced;diminished.

"The Island of England"? England's not an island, it's part of an island that also happens to be connected to Scotland & Wales. Brits not from England tend to get a wee bit nippy when our beautiful lands & people are thrown in with England. Not that I'm anti English in any way but I'm anti poor geography ✌️🏴🇬🇧

@@alicefly3198 Nice try but wrong again. The United Kingdom consists of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. So the UK is more than one island, in fact it's more than 2 as there are many other smaller islands in the UK. You could say the island of Britain but that sounds odd, it' would be more normal to call it mainland Britain.
Hearing this story while gazing at snow covered mountains surrounding Braemar, a wee village in the heart of the Cairngorm National Park in the Scottish Highlands makes it very believable. I've learned recently that the government is planning to reintroduce European Lynx which should help to control local deer population. Hopefully it will keep Cernunnos at bay...
Man, people dont dissapear mysteriously in little old denmark 😔 nothing exicting ever happens here. To be fair we *did* sorta cut down pretty much all off our forestry in order to make ships so- we probably exorcisted whatever magical creatures might have been within said forests as a result-
I thought amos was gonna sacrifice them for a second lol
An environmental lesson
That was a nice story.
❤❤ a pleasantly relaxed brand new fangirl and subber xx
If you do not know what highland land is like, don't go walking where there is no path. The bogs can drag you down in seconds. I have personal experience and was lucky to survive, thanks to my horse. Pale green bright moss is a good indication it's a bog, but you can never tell. Stay to the well trodden paths. My horse was startled by a grouse flying up and shyed just a few feet from the path. We sank instantly! The horse fought it and had I not grabbed his tail I would have disappeared into the bog. Dangerous place if you aren't familiar with it. The highlands are sparsely populated because the land if so waterlogged!
Is there a part two???? This story is amazing!!!
