He is mentally, physically, and morally poor. He wasn't happy deep inside. His life is full of fear, anger, trouble, anxiety, and insecurities. Those things that money can't buy to ease and repair. He live his life poorly. Therefore he is a poor person only with tons of money to burn in order just to make him breath everyday. Ain't no fun kind of life. What a sad and lonely life actually.

Alejandra, it wasn't about him, but people. Look at the state in which many other central american countries are. Pablo even managed to do a lot of good, for poor, unlike many others in those countries, today.

It's about promoting the right values so people don't think selling drugs and narco culture will give them status. Trust me, I live in one of the hoods he recruited youth the most and that way of thinking is still around, harming families who cannot afford food but have to send their kids to rehab. Of course it's about him and all the subculture he inspired.

It should go without saying that just because you're called "crazy" it doesn't make you a genius. Lies are necessary only if you're too weak to acknowledge the truth.

Escobar has a huge charisma for his craft, his life has imprinted his life as his aura in his face. He has that to this very day... as this comment section proves ... :)

You are wrong. What the quote means is that you are given a choice between taking a bribe or being shot, "Plata o Plomo"..........meaning "silver or lead." Lead in this case means a lead bullet, not someone being led by someone else. Cheers!

When he said "led", he was making reference to the correct pronunciation. Would spelling it correctly as "lead" shed any light on the matter? The misspelling in this case brings attention to the actual sound of the word that should be said, because afterall, "lead" has 2 pronunciations.
