Not disappointed. This really shows great piloting on GS's behalf. A Felon vs P-51? You should take this show on the road... Odds are, the gamblers wouldn't see this coming. More of these, please. I enjoy your flying talent.

That midair collision is 1-0 victory for the Mustang. Because any airforce would take that trade without thinking about it.

@@pigeonpoo1823 They would still get shellacked because 4th generation fighters don't dogfight with guns. They lock on from beyond visual range and launch missiles from 20-40 miles away. The Spitfires would with their massive thermal and radar signals would be large beacons for their missiles. They would launch missiles and turn back while never leaving the safety of their surface to air defenses. These videos are fun but unfortunately are only theoretical since you would need a scenario where both sides' air defenses are knocked out and all the jets somehow have no more missiles.

Go look up the "This Is How the Top Gun Su-57 Dogfight Would Have Really Gone Down" video, it's hilarious.

First round it looked like he was indulging you until you hit him, then thought, “that’s enough “

That vectoring flip that the Felon did on round 3 was something straight out of Macross/Robotech/Battlestar Galactica

Overall, that was an interesting fight, and lots of fun moments, but on the final round, even though he was on fire, I wouldn't take the chance of ending up in front when he hasn't ejected. It's not over until somebody bails or a plane slams into the ground. That said, awesome job getting the 57 with the 51. SUPER awesome.

something tells me that the terms of this fight was felon giving mustang all the chances to score a kill. because there are numerous moments where felon's nose was on mustang for good couple of seconds and he wasnt shooting.

Now we know the secret weapon to use against the Felon, they won't know what hit them.

Remember, how you had to ram su-57 on Tomcat? Well, we see that trick could be reversed

Hey GS, Ive been wondering about the difference between jets and props, and it brings me to the strange time where jets were just barely better than props. They just barely had the engine power advantage, but remained competitive in turn rate ability. I would like to request a showcase on some of those jets. Everyone knows the ME262, but what about the ME162, the HO229, or the f-80 and the f-2h. It would also be cool if we could see a yak-15p or Meteor F or something of equal ability. I think these jets are really cool, and would love to see you do some showcases with them. Love your work, keep it up!

I always loved fighting ME-262s in the P-51D in IL-2 1946 online. It was all about evasive manoeuvres and energy retention, while frustrating the 262 pilot and luring him into turns to make him lose his energy advantage. Those cannons were terrifying though!

8:53 when the Felon does the loop and were coming from sun, i immediately knew Sidewinder will die and that's the coolest thing i ever see in dogfight XD

That last ditch effort by the felon had me verbally shriek, that was hella close. 😂 😅 Also can't say I've ever seen a P-52 in a flat scissor with a SU-57 felon on fire anywhere else before. 😂

The thing that gets overlooked is GS isnt going up against junk pilots in these VS. videos. Often they are extremely good pilots. If I was the other pilot in these VS. videos, it wouldn't matter what I was flying, he could kill me with a paper airplane.

Huge thumbs up for the editorial choice to leave no comments made after the collision and just to watch it burn, then silently put up "Round 3". It's all that could be done.

It's almost like in the first round the Felon was just playing and dancing around the Mustang barely coming in the cross hairs before turning its nose around and completely getting off the path of the 50 cals, but when you managed to get some rounds on the Felon it got really angry and went "oh so you want a fight? You want to fight me?!" and obliterated the Mustang's tail in a burst.

At a press conference yesterday, a Pentagon spokesperson said that the Su-57 pilot's behavior was, "unsafe and unprofessional" after video footage from GS showed the Russian warplane merging aggressively against the aging warbird in a dogfight.

Ah yes. 5:06. The classic prop slap maneuver that all elite Russian pilots are trained to do.

Please do Russian planes blasting hard bass again.

In round two when he hit you it was just like real life when they hit the drone

There is kind of a real life example of this. The movie the final countdown was about a 1980s us carrier (modern at the time since the movie was made in the 80s) that went back in time to Pearl Harbor. They actually have real F-14s dogfighting real Japanese zeros since there was no CGI back then. In the movie, the tomcats were told to hold fire as they engaged the zeros so command can figure out what to do. Behind the scenes mentions the tomcats almost stalled and crashed a few times because they couldn’t maintain the slow speed of the zeros for their “dogfighting”. Once the captain gave the go ahead, the F-14s just flew out of range and engaged with missiles lol. I think that’s the closest we’ll get to a modern jet dogfighting a WW2 prop plane.

I'd love to see an intercept style video with this matchup too. I suspect the mustang may struggle in the bvr fight, but I'm sure you can figure out a way to make it work.
