Truly was. Just amazing from start to finish. The sounds, the cinematography and of course the flying and the commentary. 🙌🙌

I love how fast those three Su-27s went from "I think there is enemy here!" to "I'm glad I wore my warmest socks today because I'm going to be spending time in the mountains."

That Flanker was jettisoning his missiles because he knew that he was outmatched and was like the dude who chickens out and drops his rifle as he runs from the battlefield. Raptor was like "Nope. You wanted a ride on the Crazy Train, now I gotta punch your ticket too."

That flanker dumping all of his missiles to try and get out of the situation, was absolutely amazing to watch. But there’s nothing you can do when you’re up against the raptor, except extend your lifespan by seconds or minutes at that point.

Alright, I've been watching you literally every day for almost 2 years. I gotta say, this mission actually had me cheering out loud. Hands down one of the most intense and awesome videos you've done to date and I haven't had a single one I didn't enjoy. When you gunned that last Felon I LITTERALLY stood up from my chair! It’s such a shame they canceled the Raptor program. Every time I see the Raptor hunting shot where the camera is looking down and rearwards from the prey is bloody scary. Reminds of when the Raptor snuck up on GS and saw it in his rear view mirror. Your soul leaves your body because it knows your time is up.

I would be shocked if Congress didn't cough up a few billion to modernize a fleet of 100 raptors when it comes time to decommission them. Then again, if NGAD is even half what I think it's going to be, the F22 might become a relic at that time. Two technologies are in heavy R&D which will punctuate that: 1. Multi-cycle engines that enable ramjets to be paired with traditional turbofans. Or... 2. Rotating detonation engines. It's likely that these won't be ready for NGAD's initial release. But once RDEs are production ready? Nothing will even come close.

@@jklappenbach B-21 will be using F-35 engines, and NGAD is assumed to be using 2 F-35 engines as well. They're the most powerful jet engines in the world with extremely good reliability so honestly it's a plus. New adaptive cycle engines will be used later on as well.

I don’t think the Raptor program is dead. They can say all they want but I don’t believe for a second that all the engineering and technical documents are lost or destroyed. Live on Raptor!!!

That roll away by the mig had me dying. I just imagine him seeing bullets off to his left, wondering what his wingman is doing and looks over to see him exploding and says "oh sh*t!!" as he rips on the stick

Almost as good as when a real F-22 pilot few under two Iranian jets first to see what they had then pulled up beside them and told them it was time for them( the Iranian) to go home. The Iranian was going to shoot down one of our unman aircraft.

Cool seeing the Darkstar (Darkstrike?) in DCS good scenario. Quick ID check for Russian bombers: The targets in question were TU22M Backfires, not TU22 Blinders. A key difference is the intake position; the Blinder's are back by the tail, Backfires have more conventional ones up front. Of course, they all look the same after a JDAM.

This was absolutely sick!! What a kill list! ONE Raptor obliterated basically all the best fighters they have! Its insane what an F-22 can do especially in the hands of an extremely great pilot! Well done sir! 👏 👏👏

Dude the the shot of the carnage with everything on fire coupled with such a dominant display of the raptor being the pinnacle of regularly functioning air technology was cool af. Thanks for the awesome content GS, you’re an awesome dude.

Excellent performance! That’s definitely a job for two fighters, so you worked harder for it. Tiny correction: I think those were Backfire bombers, not Blinders. It’s the newer model with inline ducts, not tail-mounted external turbines. At least that’s what I saw.

No adding the f22 kind of defeats the purpose of the darkstar. Ds is up high enough to not need protection and by starting dogfights near the target you’re just giving time for the enemy to either flee or prepare.

What was this: 9 kills on single mission? And they were capable opponents? Really well done!

*The F-22 has radar with 250 miles range BUT it can go into PULSE ARRAY MODE giving it a fairly accurate radar range at 650 miles.*

i like how they sent one f22 to do this mission like uncle sam doesnt have 153 of them and can easily send 2-3 more

With a skilled pilot, one is enough for the mission it performs. More than one is good but probably ends badly.

The sorta cat and mouse game with the felons while you were just wrecking their comrads was awesome to watch.

What an effing performance. I was slightly disappointed he didn't take on the Felons initially even though it was the correct and calculated decision but then the redemption at the end. The only thing that could have made this flawless is by shooting (at the Migs) a missile at the 1st bandit and gunning the 2nd at the moment of impact so there could be no warning to other crafts. Very well done sir. PLEASE keep these type of Raptor videos coming!

As I've said before, my brother and his engineer friends that worked on the F22 back in the early 90's just said " clubbing baby seals" when asked about the jet. That was 30 years ago!

Ironic that you used a stealth craft to essentially make a lot of noise , but it worked and drew them away from the SR-72.

Actually, F-35 electronics suite will pop up 8 more Raptors on the enemies' scopes/sensors and cause even more confusion. Soul leaves body much faster when there's more than 1 Raptor in the area, real or not. Same results in the end.

It’s crazy how fast the gun shoots. It’s like each burst is about 300 rounds…but only 5 actually ever land on the target and it’s devastating.

@@charlesfollette9692 That would make it even more dramatic. I’m not sure if aircraft are different but for small arms its 4-1 ratio. 4 rounds (AP or whatever) then 1 tracer.
