I thought the 72 was a pulse engine, I know that’s not the exact term but I can’t recall what they are actually called. But am I wrong aren’t they supposed to be “pulse engines” , that weird throughput circular ignition system. Anyone know or know what project I am actually thinking of if I am wrong about the particular plane.

If the Airforce ever needs a movie to compete with Top Gun, this is it! It even has it's own catchphrases like "why the hell did I fire this missile without a tone?" And my personal favorite: "he's doing the Felon stuff!" XD

@@pearcerocks Either way he had a death wish. His job was to push the enemy away. He was actually interfering with the SAM site doing its job.

wish we had a follow up with the dark star but amazing dog fight. a bit out of character for you to miss gun shots, you must have been really feeling the pressure

@@SeaWasp nah... the "2 Morons" series tend to involve them in the same aircraft. One is usually the pilot and the other is the RIO in an F-14 or gunner in a helicopter.

LS this was absolutely EPIC!! Super intense and the fight scenes and scenario were awesome!! Scenes and angles were glorious! One of your best yet IMHO!

Damn I think someone showed that SAM crew the "then I started blastin' " meme a few too many times. Those dudes were just chucking missiles left, right, and center right into the middle of a dogfight.

That was edge of your seat video! 😅 you literally had me thinking you were a complete goner after you shot your last fox two. Hell of a video!

That was some flying, even GS would be saying, "Gawd Damn, Son".

Well that was MOVIE excitement kind of intense!!!

I LOVE the camera angles, feels really natural !

I also posted these on GS's channel: These are general mission ideas. Some may not even be possible in-game. Reverse Gun Game- Each aviator begins with a the most modern aircraft. After each successful splash, they progress down to the least modern aircraft until victory is achieved by getting a splash with the last aircraft. GS = Growling Sidewinder, but could also be any brave DCS soul. Gauntlet I- LS (hi-tech) vs endless swarm (low-tech). Gauntlet II- endless GS respawn (low-tech) vs (hi-tech) swarm. Backstab- LS + GS vs X opponents, but only one can remain. When to betray?!? Air2Ground- GS + LS in a mixed air-to-air/air-to-ground mission. Air2Ground II- Same as above, but must switch roles for secondary target. Buff Fight- The usual Air-to-Air stuff, but with bombers. B-52 vs B-2, anyone? Might have to hack a gun into them. This might be a 2-Morons thing. Classic Matchups- Series. P-51 vs FW-190, Spitfire vs Bf-109, F-86 vs Mig-15, Mig-21 vs F-4, etc. Final Countdown - Series. F-14 vs A6M, F-22 vs Sopwith Camel, etc. Pearl Harbor - GS + LS in A6M/B5N vs 2xP-40 (or stand-ins). Recreate torpedo runs over Oahu. Famous battles of history. Battle of Palmdale - P-47 could stand-in for the F6F drone, but where to get an F-89 Scorpion analog? Stunt Plane - How many AIM-9Xs can GS dodge in a stunt plane? Stunt Plane II - Enemy has guns, but no missiles. GS is armed with an air-to-air aircraft and a parachute. Command&Control - Instead of flying one aircraft, have GS direct a group of pilots/bots against another group of pilots/bots. Rock-Paper-Scissor - GS + LS fight it out using random planes from an agreed upon list. Winner has to "hand over" his plane to the loser for the next round. Two-Parter - GS flies mission A where he chooses one of two objectives. Based on this outcome, the comment section votes on whether he should do mission B or C next time. (with the same remaining fuel/armaments???) Campaign - Like Two-Parter but more open-world. After each stage GS offers a set of follow-on missions for the next round that might include earned bonuses like "2xAIM-120Ds,100 rounds 20mm, and 2000 lbs of fuel" or "AWACS for the next mission", etc. Invite comment section to suggest follow-on missions & bonuses.

I like these harder missions tbh, love to see you guys challenging yourself instead of stunting on a target rich environment

If you read this, I'm curious about the SR-72 model/mod in the game. It strikes me that a "Darkstar" would be running at 70-80 thousand feet going Mach Ridiculous to maximize speed and defense. (Yeah I'm hypothesizing) How do you think that would change the dynamic? What are the max altitudes of various AA and SA missiles? I suspect that AA missiles would be much more limited, but I am curious. If anyone wants to mentally wargame this, I'd love to hear it.

The felon pilot was too excited to maintain his speed in relation to the F22.and he had never fired r74m and I don't know why... 😃

This isn't even the full version with 2 D thrust vectoring, IR missile approach warning, mach 1.8 supercruise, AESA radar, and all the goodies like that!

That was some dame good flying. Good skills and a great demonstration of the man in the box. Great video hand me on the edge the home time. Great rush.

The maneuvrability of those 5th-gens is just insane, it's almost like the old WWI biplanes - except they couldn't kill from 20 miles and go over the speed of sound as well!

Impressive flying! Defending SAMs while in a dogfight with an Su-57 is not a situation anyone would want to be in.

it's funny- the SR 72 would be doing Mach 6 and outpacing everything- and the Darkstar, Mach 10, and the same.. Lol, and at 100,000 feet, if not higher =- yeah, the Flankers would have to pray their R 37 hypersonics could get the right angles to attempt that- because shooting mach 6 or mach 10 targets at 100K or higher -.. I dont think AAMs or most SAMS have the Delta V to attempt those intercepts lol. that surprise Felon was epic though
