Wow, they must have chicks that they are protecting, I know the Shell ducks on the pond in front of me do exactly the same when they've had chicks, I think it's because the seagulls go for them and possibly think that's what the drones are. Not sure why but I'm not getting notifications through, just found this video by accident.

One of the props was missing and two others had the tips snapped off. I’m not sure whether they were damaged when the bird hit the drone or when the drone hit the ground. Luckily, the drone was only about four metres above a grassy field. It could have been worse. I checked it out and put new props on and it’s all good. No gimbal or camera damage. Oh I hate oystercatchers.

Wow, and that was the birds, you didn't catch the electric/phone cables I can see in that area? I've bothered a lot of birds, but never had one cause a drone to drop out of the sky Glad it survived!

I could see the cables before I took off but those oystercatchers sneaked up on my blindside like flying ninjas. Up til then it was all going perfectly.
