Justin - I discovered your first Hadrians Wall video the other day and I have been binge watching your videos from other trails. They are absolutely awesome. You’ve taken me around Skye, the Scottish Highlands and Cumbria this weekend - I’d love to walk these now. Beautifully shot and narrated - thanks!

Very nice compliment, thank you David! 👍 Glad you have enjoyed them so much. I tend to watch the teaser videos to reminisce, some people miss those but I can recommend them! Short and sweet! Cheers, Justin 🤠

Cheers Cogan 👍 It was a delight up on the wall and also into Newcastle and South Shields. A cracking trail 👌 Hope you can see the 2 trailer vids I did, both with great music from my friend’s local band here in Wolverhampton 👍

Ha ha, gracias Jose! 😀 There are lots more videos of long distance trails on my channel if you have time. All the music on the Hadrian’s Wall series is by my friend Adam’s local Wolverhampton band, ‘Under A Banner’ 👍

It's a nicely set up hike. Stopped at part of it a few years back and impressed what these people achieved back then not just here but throughout the world.

Brilliant walking Justine - this trail certainly maintains your interest and your and your glutes and quads - ha ha! I will be walking this trail one day - been injured for a while though but getting there. Interesting to see how the rivers moved. Nothing stays the same. All the best. Mark

The trail really starts proper on day 2, hard work but loads of views and history. It gets better on the next days too. Hope you get rolling again soon. Cheers, Justin.

@@JustinWhiting9 I heard you say that Justin the big hills and views were coming. I'm set for part 3. Yeah, me to the last year plus has been tough - couldn't walk - been chomping at the bit. A pleasure.

That looked like the perfect hiking day! 🙌 I am glad you still remembered how to do a curve after walking straight for 22 miles 😬

Yes, it was pretty good! Well, the Romans built straight, but everybody else for 1900 years has not, hence the bridges, roads, buildings, train tracks, quarries and farms mean that the path goes up, down, left and right all day long! 🤠

@@JustinWhiting9 I guess they did that just to spite the Romans 😂 And I am glad for it 👏 Two days ago I had to think of your cow experience when I got cornered by mountain goats with long pointed horns coming down a mountain in the Alps. 😂 Glad the were only interested in inspecting my backpack and having a good lick on my salty arms 😄 No chance to try the "Whiting Manoeuvre" 🤷🏽‍♂️

Lanercost is lovely and has a really nice cafe - could have saved yourself a task there. Did you miss the famous phallus just after Birdoswald? Carved into the wall - a Roman symbol of good luck.

We visited Lanercost by car a couple of weeks later (hence the short clip I included). I looked for the phallus on both visits to Birdoswald without success. Symbol of good luck....or just blokes enjoying toilet humour 1900 years ago? 😁

@@JustinWhiting9 it's a couple of hundred meters east of Birdoswald - we had a guide to show us exactly were to luck. Not the biggest good luck symbol - that was spray painted across the back of a bench as you walked into Newcastle. But really, the phallus was a symbol of good luck to Romans.
