I just retired after 22 years working in law enforcement. I feel your frustration. The best advice I can give you is to remember your home is your sanctuary. You make it as safe as you can for your family. That takes on many meanings for folks. A home where faith is strong, food for your family, home security systems, discipline, fun and common sense. Being prepared is half the battle. It doesn't have to cost a lot of money to do any of those things. Lock your house. Lock your cars. Lock the car doors when going anywhere. Be aware of your surroundings. That is not being paranoid, it's being safe. It's the world we live in. Don't set yourself up to be a victim. Perhaps it's time to think about renting that house out. Maybe to a young couple who you trust that is just starting out that doesn't have a lot of money. If that is not an option then install some trail cameras around the house. Unfortunately, once people know about an empty house it's gonna happen again. Knowing you have done the best you can gives you a peace of mind. Remember, for every bad thing we read and hear about happening in the world, good things are happening too. They just don't make the news. You are blessed from GA.

I stress everyday I have a 6 year old daughter and I'm scared for the world we are leaving to our children.

Corie, I had something happen to me several weeks ago now, an attack on me personally, that stunned me, then angered me. It is hard for someone who does not think in evil ways to understand how anyone else can. One of the police officers that I talked to told me (after I repeatedly said “how can people think this is right to do?) - he said that people who do or say evil things, do not see the wrong in what they do because they think evil thoughts daily and they think everyone else thinks the same way they do. To them, what they do is normal behavior. Long ago, before you and I were born - the Bible was a center part of life. Even if you did not believe in God, you heard His Word everywhere you turned. When the Bible was removed from public daily life, people were then fed the lies of evilness from tv, books, etc. instead. The world cannot live in silence, so it will either hear the Good News, or it will hear the lies of satan. So many people today have no clue between right or wrong because they want the lies over the Truth. About ten years ago I had the opportunity to witness to someone who had sold his soul, literally, to the enemy. The things he told me have never left my mind. He easily succumbed to the life he got into because his parents gave him no direction in his childhood. They and the world around him, were his example. You and I had family that showed us by their good example what is right and what is wrong. Because our hearts are filled with the Truth, it is hard for our minds to accept the lie. I know this is already long, but I just want to add - just because we have placed our life and faith in Christ doesn’t mean the enemy won’t try to deceive us. Last weekend I did allow the enemy to convince me I was being snubbed, and you know that feeling can make you pretty sad. So I spent a couple of hours wanting to cry because I felt hurt. Then I came across something that read - “Where your calling is, there will be your battle”. And I instantly knew my hurt feelings were not reality, but the enemy lying to me. And I turned to the passage on the armor of God that you just read, and I put my armor back on. That is how we fight the evil in this world. You have the Truth. You keep claiming it no matter what. We can’t escape the evil world, but we do not have to let it control our thoughts by worry over it. The biggest battle is in our minds and what we allow to affect us there. I love your devotions! Thank you Donna for your uplifting message. You are well spoken and I totally agree. Sadly, parents can not teach what they do not know so the evil continues down the generations in some cases. I’m sorry you were hurt but I’m thankful you were able to see the lie that was trying to convince you otherwise. Such a good lesson for people to learn…especially young people in my opinion. Agreed, Donna. Normal people have no idea how deep evil gets until they meet it up close and personal and even then, they're dumbstruck. I've been down a rabbit hole or two with millions of others. Sometimes I wish I'd never seen things I've seen, but then, if I didn't see them, I would never have believed any of it and know how vital it is to work for Good. Armor of God, Working Hard to help save a little one, and one of my favorite works....voting the Right man or woman to office...not just the one with the best suits and nicest speeches. After we do all that we can, and each of us is limited in that respect, it's time to enjoy God's beautiful green earth and the families He gave us. Praise Him and feel His Joy.

Dear Precious Girl, ever since Adam and Eve determined to disobey God ,evil has grown in Leaps and Bounds. I'm reminded of the passage, I don't remember exactly where it is right now but it says evil men and seducers waxing worse and worse. But I'm also reminded of Psalms 37:1 through 40. These are definitely evil times. I am 75 years old and have seen so many changes and my dad who died in 2020 at the age of 94 would get tears in his eyes and say "daughter this is certainly not the world I grew up in". Evil has always been since,as I said before Adam and Eve but because there are so many people in the world and the love of God is waxing cold in people and in their hearts . .there's a passage somewhere that talks about they have no fear of God and we are certainly there. And it seems sometimes that churches are more into entertainment or big crowds than they are teaching the true word of God which is from Genesis to Revelations. I heard a preacher say one time, many years ago that if every true child of God would read, believe and act on the book of Ephesians this would be a different world. We are called salt and Light. What does salt do? It holds back rot. What does light do? It dispels Darkness... then why is there so much rot and darkness in this world? Because the church has fallen asleep. She has run out of the oil of the Holy Spirit. She is more interested in numbers and money then she is the will of God. We are living in serious times! But the good old days are just ahead. For the true child of God this is just a training camp. Keep your eyes on the prize dear girl. God has his true church, His true bride and she's going to be perfect. She's going to be without spot or wrinkle or any such thing. And remember like in Ephesians , we're fighting against spiritual warfare. But what did Christ say, " be not vexed over all these things because I have overcome." And a true Christian is described by Colossians 1:27. Christ in me the hope of glory. Without the Holy Spirit living within me as in Colossians 1:27 I am a sounding brass and a tinkling symbol. I think that every word that God has allowed to be penned is food for my soul, it's nothing but Christ from Genesis to Revelation. Keep the faith, stand firm in your belief, and remember what you read that. nothing can separate us from God. Much Prayer for you and your family. I am so thankful God lead me to your page. Remember " There Are Lights in Goshen". And no matter how it looks. ..God had the first word and He WILL have the last. We've read the book! We Know How It Ends. Thank God for Jesus. He is our Rock... He is our sustainer..🙏🙏🙏🙏❤❤❤❤

I completely understand. The struggle is real. I've had to work really hard on this. Still do. Acceptance of things one cannot change can be a real challenge. How do we accept THE absolute unacceptable? I remember reading a book many years ago written by a Christian minister that helped a lot (I typically am not much of a "religious" kind of person, but do not deny a higher power at work). It was called "The Two Hands of Forgiveness". It was actually a very good book. Hope that helps someone.

I also love Matthew 6:44, in which our Savior said, "Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Great message, thank you! The hardest thing for me to grasp is that nothing happens without God knowing about it. The Bible says a sparrow doesn’t fall without His knowledge. So if He knows about these horrors, why doesn’t He stop them? But I remember that His timing and judgments are stronger and better than anything man can do. Everything sifts through His fingers…and the opposite of God is not Satan. Satan is just a fallen angel created by God Himself. God is FAR more powerful than the thing He created that chose to disobey and fall. That gives me comfort….but also gives me a million questions lol. I’m so thankful you are a believer! All in preparation to take back my street. A long season of interceding for my neighborhood, island and state. At times heartbroken by the lawlessness and depravity🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 yesterday God destroyed a stronghold DEA converged on a abandoned home where they were dealing drugs. This alone is more and more a rarity in our country and world. Many people, even those who claim they are Christian, end up cursing God for all the evil in the world or in their personal lives. They ask, "How could a just, loving, and all-powerful God allow such wickedness in the world or such evil to happen to me?" And then they turn away from Him and His love, thus doubling the tragedy in their lives. May God bles you and your family always.

Fantastic! Our time on this earth amongst this evil is so short compared to the eternity which lies ahead in God's grace.

There are many Godly things going on too. Sometimes we just need to turn our focus back on what God is doing. Look at what He did with the killing of babies. That was huge! I've been watching this minister on youtube who is seeing many miraculous healings in his services. Every day people are being born again and receiving everlasting life with the Father. Another thing, scripture says greater is He, (God) who is in us than he, (the devil and his minions) in the world. We have authority over the enemy, the devil. Jesus said, the works that I do you will do also and greater works than these because I go unto the Father. We just need to use our authority in Christ because the devil has nothing on us.

I believe everyone in the world feels that way. I really am thankful that you turned to the WORD to remind everyone that we always have God. God Bless you and all of your family.

Amen young lady, I appreciate you for reading the word of God. You are very right, wickedness in high places is the day in which we live. I have two grandsons your age, I wish they could hear this and see that there are other young people that believe and trust the word of God

You and your family are countering it with GOOD, in all your work. I had such a fretful night, a few weeks ago. Sleep wasn't good, nightmares waking me. As I woke, I had "In the Garden" in my head, heard y'all singing it (I sometimes just hit "play all" our your music playlist, so while I'm doing busy-work I can listen...). It was SUCH A COMFORT, and I thanked God for that gift He gave me right then. I know it was from Him. THANK YOU for all your work, such a welcome and edifying influence. 🙌🏼

Hi Corie, Yes, it was astonishing to me when I found out just how much evil exists in this country and the world. I had no idea those terrible things are going on. Our Heavenly Father must be crying His eyes out seeing what has happened to His beautiful Creation. I totally agree that these awful, demonic elites seem to be getting away literally with murder however, I take some comfort in the fact that their doings are going to be addressed, if not in this world, then definitely in the next. I pray every day that this all stops and that justice will be served. HIS WILL BE DONE! God bless you and your sweet family!!!

Received your thank you card today for the books I sent you,you didn't have to do that but knowing what a sweet person you are it didn't surprise me.God bless and keep the videos coming, it's such a blessing.

Love the verses you read. So glad God's word is a vital part of you life and you are not ashamed to share that. We are definitely living in the last days. There are many changes that point to that. But one thing we should remember is GOD IS IN CONTROL. It may not look like it but He has a plan and he can see beyond what we see. I like this saying I have on my frig. "God either calms you or calms the storm, either way...He is in control."
