After watching this entire message, I found it to be so true. I needed this. I usually help at our local military food pantry and lately I haven't had the best mood. Tired and having an autoimmune disease can beat you down. But it is so important to give back and do my part. It's so important to keep your priorities straight. I'll be there wednesday with a better attitude. I have to remind myself how important to not just be there but actually BE THERE. Thank you for that lesson. It was truly needed. Also, I hope you feel better soon. Tons of hot water and honey!

I'm glad for these reminders, Corie. You did beautifully with this. I read the entire Bible last year for the first time in my long life. I'd become ashamed that I'd read so many books, but not the entire Bible. I have to say I kept thinking 'I should've read all of this a long time ago' because I've missed so much because I didn't have that basic knowledge. Thank you for a wonderful devotional lesson! I appreciate the encouragement and knowledge that comes with each video. It’s so easy to get caught up in the responsibilities of life and lose sight of what really matters. It’s also easy to get overwhelmed and worry about all the pressures and obligations of this life. It’s so true, without him nothing works, and we can’t do this alone. It’s true about the attitude as well, if we are doing things out of a sense of obligation (bible study, going to church, etc..) we won’t receive the full blessing we would get if really doing those things out of a seeking of God’s love and his will for our lives. I pray that God will bring us all more fully into a personal relationship with Him. God Bless you and your family!

When I read the Bible, I start in the beginning and read to the end, like with any other book.

I highly recommend A good study Bible! I like to read the scriptures for myself asking God to open my eyes that I might see wondrous things in His law, then read the commentary or study notes. The one I have is by John MacArthur that has pastored his Church for 50+ years! I have gleaned so much from this incredible study Bible and have come to a clearer understanding of Scripture 🙌❣️

Please pray for my son and his family, and our family as a whole, that misunderstandings be healed.

You really explained this book of the Old Testament so well. It surely reminds me of our country today where we live in comfort but so many are not taking care of our houses of worship or the work we should be doing for God’s kingdom. God has been trying to get our attention, just as he did in Haggai, but so many don’t pay attention to God’s messages in his word.

Hey Corie and Katie! Love ya'll so much. I feel like you are old friends now. Please pray for my 25 yo daughter who has distanced herself from us. She married an unbeliever and there are other issues going on as well. I thank you for praying. We haven't seen her since March of this year. It's been very painful. I know God is in control and He wants me just to trust Him. My husband has said I cannot go try to talk with her at her job. She won't tell us where she lives. Thank you again. God bless ya'll and may He continue to answer your prayers.

I love these Bible study videos. Thank you, Corey! (Did I spell your name correctly?) Something we often forget, as seems to be the case of the Jews in this story, is that we often act as though we have some control, that if we just do more, say more, give more, all will work out. We also seem to think the outcome depends on us. Instead, we must realize that all good things come not from our intelligence, craftiness or effort, but from God. Additionally, when we live to accomplish things that will satisfy us, we forget that we are to follow Christ’s example, which tells us to live as servant leaders. We are to serve others so that they will see Christ, so that we can witness and share our testimonies. No matter what our job or living situation, we are to be seed planters, because we are called to live sacrificial lives that glorify Christ, rather than self. The Jews in this story were doing what they thought right and judging success based on what other people thought. Instead, God tells them to remember that this temple they were building wasn’t about them at all. It was being built for the glory of God. Our lives are the same. We are to live to glorify Him. He’s the priority and glorifying Him is our mission. Be careful who your friends are, as the wrong friends can influence away from the prioritization of Christ. A Christ-seeking friend who seeks Him first is the kind of friend who will help us in our walk so that we can walk faithfully.

Corie, I just got a chance to watch this. It's been a long time since I read Haggai, and the Lord really blessed me through what you had to share. I made lots of notes for further study and prayer. Thank you SO much for sharing these devotionals. You are an anointed teacher. Hope your cold is better by now. In reference to a different video I meant to comment on, if your mama still has that giant burgundy coleus, you can take cuttings & overwinter them in water, but be sure to pinch off the flower buds or they will start the dying process. I have one I've kept alive 8 yrs that way.

I so totally agree with you. Sometimes it is hard to read a full chapter and break it down so you understand it and not miss or overlook something. I started to read my Bible in verses, not full chapters, writing down key sentences that help me understand what I’m reading. I can read 5 full chapters but if I can’t remember half of what I read, how am I gaining any wisdom? It helps me so much. Thanks so much for sharing. Hugs from the southeast coast of Florida 😎🦩🌞🦩😎
