Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
Oven baked wild salmon filet with lemon garlic butter sauce is a delicious, healthy, and EASY recipe that you can put together in under 20 minutes! This salmon recipe is elegant enough to serve at a dinner party, but simple enough to cook on a busy weekday night. Join Eric from Simply Elegant Home Cooking as he demonstrates the recipe is easy steps that any home cook can follow!
Before we discuss the recipe, it is very important to make a quick note about the star ingredient, the wild salmon! It is imperative to buy wild caught and not farm raised. Do not be tempted to buy the cheaper farm raised salmon as it does not contain the healthy Omega 3 fats of the wild caught salmon, and additionally it is devoid of any flavor. Also, Eric uses butter today in this demonstration but you can also use olive oil instead if you prefer.
Ingredients (can be doubled or tripled to feed a crowd):
-2/3 pound wild salmon filet
-1 lemon
-2 cloves garlic
-2 tablespoons butter
-1 large handful chopped Italian parsley
-2 pinches Old Bay or other seafood seasoning
-Salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
-Set your wild salmon out from the fridge an hour before you plan to cook.
-20 minutes before you plan to put the salmon on, preheat your oven to 425 degree f.
-While the oven preheats, melt about 2 tablespoons of butter over a low heat.
-In a sheet pan, spoon a spoonful of the melted butter to prevent sticking. Place the salmon, skin side down, onto the butter and slide it around to coat.
-Use a basting brush to thoroughly coat the flesh side of the salmon with the melted butter. This will prevent the fish from drying out.
-Add freshly cracked black pepper and sea salt over the top of the salmon. Then add the Old Bay seasoning.
-Zest about half of the lemon over top of the salmon.
-Add the crushed garlic, being sure to spread evenly over the surface.
-Sprinkle about half of the chopped Italian parsley over top of the garlic.
-Cut the lemon into thin slices and place them evenly over the surface. Be sure to save some of the lemon for a few wedges to serve with.
-Add a small amount more parsley on top.
-Drizzle on a little bit more of the melted butter, then add a little more salt and pepper to taste.
-Cook the salmon in the oven for about 10 minutes, or until desired texture is achieved. Be sure not to over cook!
-To serve, drizzle over a small amount more melted butter, garnish with more chopped parsley, and a squeeze of lemon.
-Enjoy!

I tried your recipe last night and the results were fantastic! The lemon juice, zest and slices balanced out the salmon nicely by reducing the fishy taste. This dish will be a regular one at my house.
Now you know it's good when you hear that umm. I had to turn the video off! Lol! Looks delicious! (mouth is watering as I'm typing this)
Wild caught salmon is the only way to go! Goooorgeous!
I like your generous use of garlic. You have again made an elegant dish look amazingly simple. And you are correct that salmon does need to be cooked only until rare or medium rare. Will be looking for some wild salmon soon.
Another great video!! Thanks also for the advice on what to serve this with. Very helpful.
Making it today, looks great! Thanks, chef!
The salmon looks so juicy, and love the lemons on top! 😊💗
I'm just about to make this! Thanks a lot Chef!

Thanks!
Lovely! A trick my mom taught me is to splash a bit of white wine in before roasting the fish. Not much, just a splash. It adds a nice flavor and helps keep the fish moist. Excellent recipe, thanks Eric!

Simply Elegant Home Cooking Sometimes the simplest little thing can elevate a dish. My mom's sand dabs, with a splash of wine, dotted with butter or drizzled with olive oil, fresh chopped parsley, salt and pepper, baked in the oven. Heavenly.
Yummy my friend👍🍷
Red wild Alaskan Salmon for me tastes So good many times i do not even marinate it at all, just lightly cover in flower sometimes not even that a bit of olive oil fried for few minutes each time Heaven, I do Not even use salt n pepper many times so as to have the virgin wild salmon taste i love to much, on the other hand Farmed salmon you Must marinate well to get any kind of taste from it

Oh yes, I don't even bother with farmed salmon. There is no flavor and no health benefits.
I love eating fresh salmon with lemon spaghetti. There’s a great recipe for lemon spaghetti I make all the time by the food network chef Giada. It’s incredible ❤️

Regular bake.
I have such a hard time finding good salmon, I try the frozen then when it thaws it is smelly and tastes fishy, I try fresh and the same thing...so I just resort to eating it in restaurants only...too expensive to bring home and it is super fishy tasting....Your dish looked fabulous though!!! Wow!!
This was lowkey asmr lol
Yes BAKING THE FISH it retains all of the important Vitamins . It’s crazy the video titled Easy pan seared has 1.4m views but is ruining the fish

Yea I do kinda like the crispy skin from searing...but the overall dish is better and healthier when oven baked!
