PAN-SEARED SALMON with Lemon Garlic Butter Sauce » Crispy, Juicy & Easy
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
This 20-minute crispy pan-seared salmon, drenched in a delicious lemon garlic butter sauce, is a go-to favourite of mine for busy weeknight dinners.
Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and bursting with flavour from the pan sauce. It goes great with a simple side of rice, potatoes, roasted vegetables, or a salad - here's how to make it!

--------------------
INGREDIENTS:
► Salmon fillet (I prefer skin-on but you can use skinless if you prefer)
► Lemon (1)
► Garlic (4 cloves)
► Butter (4 tbsp)
► Parsley (2-3 tbsp, chopped)
► Salt (to salt salmon, and 1/2 tsp for sauce)
► Black pepper (1/4 tsp)
PREP:
► Squeeze lemon juice (1/4 cup) from 1 lemon
► Grate lemon zest (1 tsp) using the remainder of the lemon
► Mince 4 cloves of garlic (1.5 tbsp)
► Finely chop parsley (2-3 tbsp)
SEAR SALMON:
► Pre-heat fry pan over medium heat
► While pan heats up, add salt & pepper to both sides of salmon fillet
► Please salmon into pan, skin-side down (if using skin-on salmon)
► Press salmon down with a spatula for 5-10 seconds, gently but firmly, to prevent buckling
► Cook for 5-6 minutes until side of fish turns opaque about two-thirds of the way up
► Flip and sear for 2-3 minutes until thickest part reaches 125°F
MAKE SAUCE:
► In the same pan over medium heat, sauté garlic & lemon zest for 30 sec
► Mix in lemon juice, salt and black pepper
► Bring pan to low heat and add butter, stirring until melted and creamy
► Mix in parsley
► Add salmon back to pan sauce, coat in sauce for 30-60 sec
► Remove from heat, bring salmon to plate and pour sauce on top

Thank you so much for the support! New videos are in the pipeline and will be coming very soon :) and yes, the skin can definitely be eaten! In general, salmon skin actually contains a lot of nutrients, vitamins and minerals, and omega-3 healthy fats! However, I would just make sure to pay attention to where your salmon comes from, ensuring it comes from a high quality source; some salmon sources (e.g. salmon farmed from the Atlantic Ocean) would generally not be advisable to eat salmon skin from, as they are considered lower quality than others (e.g. wild-caught Pacific). Hope that helps!

Hello from ltaly. You should use olive oil which is more healthy and tasty, also strangley we are taught in ltaly to always use the stalks of the parsley because that is where the flavour is.🤷♀️
Thanks chef ❤

Having fallen madly in love with your more recent recipes, and not being much of a fish-eater, I finally got 'round to this video. Wish I'd done it sooner. :\ Only problem is the source of the salmon we have: most comes from Tasmania's fish farms, and they are not frightfully admired, these days. I shall try to get some from another place. Oh, and TA - you should read Malcolm Kendrick's "The Great Cholesterol Con": it'll open your eyes.

Can I use cilantro instead of parsley as it's very expensive where I m
@toastyapron

Absolutely! Just be mindful that cilantro does have a stronger aroma and flavour than parsley, so if you prefer a milder taste, you may want to use slightly less cilantro; but if you don't mind the stronger taste, go for it! Thanks for watching!

Hi there! It's certainly not necessary to add salt beforehand especially if you have dietary restrictions and require a lower-sodium diet. It'll taste just as great, I promise! :)

The base recipe would be 10 WW points if made with almond milk. I only get 23 a day, so I’d have to leave out the maple syrup or switch to sugar free to save 3 or 4 WW points.

I tried this recipe today. It was too sour and salty!!!🤢 To be frankly, you don't have to put a thin layer of salt and black pepper on both sides of the salmon if there is salt and black pepper in sauce.

You might have used Limes instead of Lemon. I made this recipe today and did that mistake. Though I used just half a lime; the sauce came out very sour. Had to tone it down using maple syrup.
