Also a quick mention that ALL “corrupted” enemies are weak to lighting like the Plague Doctor, Immaculates, Shell horrors, etc. while all lighting enemies are weak to decay like the light mendor and all his goons! This makes those battles a lot easier!

Very nice video! Id love a followup deep dive video on weapon attack startup frames if you have the interest in it. Its seems like many weapons with a higher attack speed actually attack much slower, or deliver their attacks with much more delay after the click is made.

Ethereal has a status effect that you can only get it from the bone pistol. It's called Haunted

I remember my friend and I being set aflame for the first time, trying to "stop, drop and roll" and wondering what we were expected to do. Almost like real panic, we never thought of our water flasks. 😂 KMSL it's one of those things for which you kick yourself later, after having not realized it at the needed time. I wish this game had scarring mechanics...

Thanks for the vid! I'm playing on the PS4 and just had my Piercing Shot bug out so that it kind of turns into a puff of smoke right in front of my face. Hopefully the bug will be fixed because it wasn't cheap! Even with all the bugs, this is still a great game.

I did love the video, but I think you forgot to mention that "Haunted" is associated with Ethereal damage! Keep up the great work. :)

It sounds like he says eternal when mentioning ethereal.

The more I have learned about the game, the easier and funner it gets..I got 90 hours logged in on steam now and I can't stop playing it lol

Are you on console ? I'm on ps4 and there is no rain. I think because of the fps drop rain would cause

can you apply doom effect with starchild claymore, because when i hit my enemies with them they get some kind of spark/smoke coming from them and my next swing deals more damage?

@Research that is super unconfirmed... The way elemental damage effects work in this game is like this: Fire = Flat damage + Fast but shorter duration elemental damage DoT Decay = Flat damage + poisons which last for a long time but tick for less HP. Cold = Flat damage + slow down. Has the highest flat damage multiplier (Crimson Set) Ethereal = Flat damage, no other effects but very few enemies resist it. Not confirmed to applying a negative debuff with the Varnishes or eth weapons. Lightning = Higher flat damage + can be increased from more sources (i.e. there's a ton of lightning damage spells, free imbue from Monsoon QL, Doom, several enemies have negative resistances to lightning) Bleeds = scale off physical damage increases like discipline or pain, tick similarly to burning, - high damage and I've only ever seen one enemy cleanse the effect.

This may be a dumb question, but does damage bonus on armour work on your weapon or only your spells? There's a nice spiritual bonus damage armour in Berg city that could be very nice against undead.

Yes, your weapons will do the bonus damage, not only skills.

Does anyone know if their is a way to permeantly add elemental damage to a weapon? Or only rags/varnishes?

Always keep bananas on hand to resist DK damage

Bleed? And extreme bleed?

The weapon blur effect is quite ugly. Why devs even bother to implement it?

Hey great detail in this video, hopefully i wont get my a** totally handed to me But with a FEW words its kind of hard to understand with ur accent, For example it took a few times for me to understand u were saying "decay" i thought u were saying "DK" at first. U might want to just spell out certain words in the video Not at all trying to be hateful here

Hey, thanks for the feedback. For some reason, it was really hard to concentrate on speaking English while recording. I talk much clearly while not recording, lol. But I think I improved quite a bit since this video. But still, this is the main thing I focus on improving in my videos.

I don t see the combat being that deep really. I tried the game because i am fan of yours and with the amount of videos you upload about outward i maybe got to expect too much from it. It wasn't that hard, just really methodical and with some extra nuisances here and there (especially the bleed is just boring and requires you to keep bandages on at all times). Edited out some grammar mistakes

Minor nitpick to an otherwise great video, but you should look up how to pronounce "Ethereal". It sounds like you are saying "Eternal", which is not the same thing as Ethereal. Ethereal is typically pronounced i - THEER - ee - uhl.

@@EpsteinsRope Yeah but everything else he's said in all the videos I've watched has been correct English, with just an accent. In this case he just mis-read the word as "Eternal" instead of "Ethereal". I can barely read anything in this game with the tiny font so can't really blame him.
