This is a great build for postgame (I've used a nearly identical set-up myself), but I do want to point out for newbs who may be watching, that the armor set is earned at the very END of the Blue Chamber quest line, and the Skycrown Mace (which is considerably more underwhelming without the armor set) requires defeating a pretty difficult enemy in a perilous dungeon... so I'm not so sure it's useful for anybody struggling to progress in the game. For anybody who IS struggling and wants a sort of early version of this build that can build into this, the bare bones you need to give yourself an easier time are: 1. The Blue Sand set: crafted by Cierzo blacksmith, using blue sand that can be found at Starfish cave - on the beach nearest Cierzo - at night, and other points along that same beach and others. This set provides 7 protection and 48 physical defense, as well as 25 frost, lightning, decay, and ethereal resist, which is extremely good for how early it can be acquired. It also looks pretty snazzy, and is the cheapest decent heavy armor option. 2. The Brutal Club & Tower Shield: Looted from the "Shield Boi" shown at 20:20, outside Vendavel fortress. Easiest way to beat him (or any tough enemy, really) is to place a tripwire trap with a sword, axe, or predator bones loaded into it. This will inflict bleeding, after which you can just kite him until he's dead. You could do more traps if you want him down faster. The shield provides equal stability to the later-game shield shown, and the mace has solid physical and stability damage for early-mid game, plus it inflicts confusion, which will further increase your stability damage, meaning you more frequently stagger and knock down foes (though this can also be accomplished with the shield bash skill). 3. Rage boon from Berg to increase stability damage, furthering stagger & knockdown. While in Berg and before making the journey to the Shaman trainer, I recommend going to the NPC beside the blacksmith and learning the Mace Infusion skill - this will make the ethereal enemies in Ghost Pass much easier to deal with, and doesn't even cost mana to cast. Will probably make it easier to get to the Shaman trainer earlier. This will make you a powerhouse for early game. From there, I totally recommend progressing into this build, evolving your gear along the way to the Palladium set (made by blacksmith in Monsoon from Palladium scraps, which you'll likely find increasingly frequently as you progress) and Gold Lich Mace (crafted with iron mace, firefly powder which can be bought/found or made by attracting the fireflies in the Marsh region and leading them to the big glowing flowers on the ground, and a gold lich mechanism, which drops from enemies near the Spire of Light in the south-east of the Hallowed Marsh). And then, eventually, you'll get to this endgame armor and mace. Anyway, awesome video, ESO. I hope this comment didn't annoy you, and that it helps someone who wants this build but has been struggling to complete the game and get to this point.

. The crimson armor gives a 55% bonus to frost damage. You can make up for some of this with the white priest mitre, a low protection hat available in Monsoon that provides 20% frost damage, meaning you only lose 35% frost damage bonus out of the total 85% from the armor + boon - but you also wear a lower protection helm that looks a little goofy. So it would still be viable for sure, but the difference wouldn't be negligible either. Hope that helps.

​@@Volaju16 Pretty much all builds "shine" more toward the end of the game, to be honest - especially if you don't do much roaming outside of the main quests, since the trainers are so spread out. If you want a character that can feel awesome pretty early and have a sense of progression, I recommend a physical 1h axe or sword build. 1h axes and swords both have skills that inflict the 'pain' status, which will increase your physical damage. There are also a lot of craftable swords and axes that provide a nice sense of progression as you can kill harder monsters to get better materials to make better weapons, which is pretty satisfying. Beyond the weapons, there are also various armor tiers that provide physical damage bonuses that can make you feel strong, even early (scaled leather is the earliest attainable, which can be upgraded to ammolite to get more protection but less damage increase, which can be updated to pearlescent mail + hound mask that provides the best of both worlds, outside of the end-game Heroic Kingdom armor). If you get set up early with scaled leather armor + a fang axe, you'll already feel quite powerful - and be making your enemies bleed, so if you're in a rough spot, you can just run around and kite them until they're dead. If you chose Heroic Kingdom, you'll also get a 15% damage bonus (to all damage types) DURING and not at the END of the questline, which is a nice progression marker for just about any build (not that the other questlines don't provide bonuses, they are just more geared toward either stats or protections). I also like 1h builds because it allows you to change what you're using in your offhand depending on your play style and allows you some flexibility throughout your playthrough. Maybe you want to be a mercenary and have a gun in your offhand to get some initial damage in and apply a status effect before an encounter. Maybe you want to have a lexicon to cast runic magic, increase your protection, leave a magic mine on the ground, or heal yourself. Maybe you want to be a spellblade, and have a shield you can smash your infused weapon against to create an elemental explosion when surrounded by foes. Maybe you want to take a dagger, and set up status effects for huge damage or use 'backstab' whenever an enemy turns their back to you, for that sweet bonus. Maybe you want to use a chakram, because you're a masochist. Sky's the limit. I recommend doing a lot of exploring throughout your quest lines, especially to meet trainers. Any time you have 3 days before your next task, use it to adventure. The game wants you to. I hope this helps. I also definitely have recommendations for what builds are best suited to what factions. I friggin love this game, and am happy to offer anything my experience can provide. I got only the head piece at the finish of quest. maybe cause i died, stuck in inventory glitch. Also you can lure the Mace wendigo to the bars, it sticks it's head through, and kill it with arrows then loot for an easy grab.

I've been trying this build out from scratch, and while early game it is very much _not_ as mindlessly simple as he's implying, it is still a pretty good build. Saving up the resources to buy a full set of Half-Plate armor in Cierzo, or even a full set of Blue Sand armor really increases your survivability. I also farmed the Caravaneer until I had two Obsidian Shards and a Palladium scrap to make an Obsidian Mace. The fire damage and Burning debuff really give you a needed dps boost until you can learn the skills in Berg. I do have just a couple suggestions to anyone else looking to start this build from scratch, or anyone just not super familiar with Outward in general; He didn't mention it in the video, but you get the Focus skill from the Warrior Monk trainer in Monsoon, which increases your physical damage. I also recommend picking up the skills from the Mercenary trainer in Levant to reduce your penalties wearing heavy armor. Getting the Infuse Mace skill, either from Burac or the guy next to the Blacksmith in Berg, allows you to fight off the ghosts in Ghost Pass a lot easier. The build only really becomes broken in late/end game, once you get the Red Plate set. So either exploit the heck out of the Legacy Chest system, or get strong enough to finish the Blue Chamber collective quest as fast as possible. If you're really struggling to get powerful enough to kill The First Cannibal for the Skycrown Mace, Brand is a much easier acquisition and works almost as good. But the Obsidian Mace, Fire Varnish and Warm Potion combo makes him pretty easy imo. The only gear change I'd suggest is possible using the Fabulous Palladium Shield, which can be found in the Hollow Marsh's Giants' Ruin dungeon. It inflicts Elemental Weakness on a charge, which means the enemies take an additional 25% damage from Frost effects.

Fantastic job on this build and video! I'm new to your channel and this game but this is helping TREMENDOUSLY! I'm currently working on this build and seeing big jumps in progress and survivability every time I get a new item or skill. Can't wait for the finished build! Keep up the good work bro!

Instead of going pure physical, you can actually do a spellsword version of this. Was my first character build in game- Go Philosopher for ice sigil used with mana push and mana ward (passive mana regen OP also) Go Spellsword for ice infusion and gong strike/elemental discharge (i chose gong strike since it synergizes well with mace infusion) Third can be anything else. Wild hunter is a good option with either physical skills or a bow on switch for the versatility/piercing shot to start a hard fight. Also drink cool potions to boost Frost spell dmg when using the sigil during tougher encounters. The damage is absurd- same damage you are seeing in vid with melee (no shaman boon buff though- only really matters with impact from enrage on this build and cool boon, not too much though overall since impact is already so high) and the spells do ALOT and give ranged options or AoE's for a bunch of enemies. Basically, you can build this character in a bunch of different ways and be incredibly effective since it is so gear dependent.

I recomend you to warn people that using Ire Blessing makes your weapon break way faster. As a Backpack I think Brass-Wolf helps you with the protection of inside and wearing items.

Note that you can only have one Imbue at a time - when you use a Varnish (or any other weapon enchant) it will overwrite your Wind Imbue buff

Hmmm I just started playing this game so your only allowed 1 elemental buff on a weapon

Ive ended up with a very similar build, but I went shaman, hunter and monk instead which also works well. I'm not as far into the game yet so using much simpler gear. For anyone trying this, the brutal club is a great early game weapon to use the moment you unlock shaman. It gives confusion (+25% impact) on top of already high impact dmg and infuse wind makes up for the slow attack speed. You'll be knocking down enemies in only 2 or 3 very quickly

Sprint trainer would've been a better choice than the infuse trainer at the starter town. I can't live without my infinite sprinting. xD (Also need two stamina regen buffs to actually have unlimited running)

You can actually get more damage and some other small bonuses by using the white priest hat from monsoon. And instead of a shield just use the frost bullet skill. The shot does like 300 damage fully buffed on the best possible gun, and completely depletes their impact resist. Basically meaning you 1 shot the first enemy in a fight leaving you only 1-2 at most to deal with. It's actually pretty hilarious to watch as an observer.

Reveal + spark = mana recovered > w>

if your not using spellblade skills you could just get warrior monk for stam instead and put a couple more points into mana

Besides 1 exception.... If the weapon naturally has an element on it you can stack another element on top.

You need to test this against the endgame secret bosses

This build has definitely been nerfed due to the latest patch but it is still a viable end game build. Most enemies don't stand a chance and regular bosses are not that difficult. It is also flexible enough that you could easily swap out different elemental maces (especially if you go the monk route instead of the spellsword) and use the matching armor pieces, boons and weapon buffs. For instance, if you are fighting a boss who is weak to lightning you could switch out your armor to a set with good defenses against the bosses element, use the gold lich mace, blessed boon, bolt varnish, enrage and focus to destroy them. Thanks for the versatile build ESO! It's been fun even with the nerf.

I have most of this build going except the armor. If you ice rag or varnish your weapon then imbue wind , it takes off the buff from rag/varnish. I guess they only allow one buff on a weapon?

You cannot infuse frost or any other element to your weapon and then infuse wind because infuse wind removes your element from the weapon. So this 2 buffs does not work together you either infuse wind and get attack speed and impact or infuse element (fire, ice etc) and forget about your attack speed and impact. Either way nice build.

i just lay out 100 tripwire traps and its the easiest "endgame" weapon to get ever lo. Also helps having flame sigil and spark to hyper dps the first cannibal down.

is there any faction required to get this build im planing getting the set without using the legacy chest.

You can also use a cool potion for cool boon if you're not using mana all you need is a gravel beetle and water

You can buy all skills under the chain but only learn the skills over the chain from 3 skill trees.

I cringed when you put the varnish on after using the wind buff. They overwrite eachother

Its weird they made an Ice bonus damage armour but didn't bother to make a fire bonus damage armour. The priest offers something like 20+ but that's nothing compared to much bonus Ice damage you get from this set.

Fire actually can do more damage than Frost if stacked correctly. I don't remember the armor pieces because it's a mixed set. But Fire has access to Immolate (Fire Sigil + Mana Ward?) which buffs your fire damage with the detriment of taking 0.3 self fire damage every second

This build is quite out-dated because damage of all elemental weapons have been balanced and today are not OP., but they're still good.

I got to that shaman, early on, by accident. I died nearby, without getting through the Ghost Pass at all, and he rescued me and brought me to his house.

I feel like I've gotten a little too comfortable with Shaman's Wind Infusion Spell. It requires no components, aside from mana, doesn't consume a boon you want to keep and staggers like a dream. Slap it on a Halberg? Just amazing on the range...speaking of range, Spell-blade with the Wind Infusion just wrecks...

I know alot of people that got to fustrated at the start of the game and gave up. I was almost one of these people but after i learned the game mechanics, it was a breeze. sleep then eat and drink, carry infection and cold decease potions and the game is No problem. Besides afew grainy issues with afew things and outdated faces on characters the game has absolutely stunning environments and is extremely immersive in a 3840X2160 or 1620X1440 resolution with HdR and high backlighting. But the gameplay and combat is majorly fun and exciting. I hate small world maps or games that you can beat in afew day, Outwards map looks incredibly massive and so large the open areas make the world feal truly large and it takes a real journey to travel accross them. I been a hardcore rpg gamer my entire life since the generation of Atari and NeS and have played close to every good rpg and every open world rpg i can find, and have mastered most of them. With 30+ years of experience playing role playing games i can say that Outward is 110% in my top favorite games of all time that i have played, right up there with my #1 series ever, The Elder Scrolls. This game seems very difficult and overwhelmingly the 1st hour of game play but i promise this changes very fast once you learn the games mechanics (eat then eat and drink) fixes all stats back to normal and when sleeping find a non ambush spot or spend an hr or 2 on guard and you wont get interrupted. 1st day i played this game, i was confused and thinkin of giving up and thought i didnt like it much. By the next day my opinion on Outward was completely different and i didnt just like the game, i was obsessed and loved it more than anyother game i ever played. Besides EverQuest and TES series, Outward is now my most played game atm and my most favorite game "EVER". For anyone struggling at the start, stick with it and give yourself time to adjust to the mechanics, once you learn how things work and get enough food to survive (food is all over the place) you wont regret it. Outward=A+

Have you ever considered Dragon's Dogma? I think you could like it It's one of the best Rpg of the last 5 years and i'd like to see you playing it Anyway this game seems awesome

How did you delete the last saved game? Theres a way to have multiple saves on one game? Shit I didnt know that was possible because I completed it as well but I died so I got screwed out of the whole set! Fml!!!!! Fuuuuccckkkkk!!!! 😡 I worked so hard for this fucking set!!! The game screws me again. Lol fuck.

Your frost varnish overwrites your wind infusion every time... might wanna decide on one of the two.

Complete the blue camber quest line

Disliking constant usage of consumables, I will opt for using the less efficient cooling spells, so 55 should be a more mid-term solution in what regards mana total. Thanks for the video, the build looks sick. EDIT: So since I had never done Blue chamber's questline, I did it, and now, turns out I have 230 health, 105 stamina and 100 mana lel

If you're not already doing your videos in one take, you should try it. You are that good. At least i think

Far as i know PC, Xb and ps4 are the identical copies of the game besides afew different stats on some items.

The 1.1 Skycrown is slower than a 1.0 Brand. A 1.0 sword ist faster than a 1.1 mace, its just one of the fastes maces in the game. Also does ice varnish and infuse wind stack? Instead of using the cool boon you also can drink a cool potion (less mana usage and its ez to craft) :) Ice rag, ice varnish and infuse frost give different frost infusions. And which tent and dishes would you use? I would like to see a rogue build :)

If you take lexicon instead of a shield, learn rune magic for the +20 resistance buff and add the monk warrior passive, you could go over 100physical resistance... Shields are for chumps.

If you die on the final fight in monsoon you disappointingly only get the helmet.

Would've done Warrior Monk instead of Shaman. The ice damage stacking is kind of redundant with Wind Imbue.

nice build but did you ever thought about using lantern of souls in offhand for more resistance?

the horror shields stats are equal ... and you can craft it like in the first hour of the game ... just in case someone wants a good shield without playing throug the blue chamber questline first ;)

Have you tried becoming a zombie or vampire yet? There was something in the trailers that said something like that can happen when you die.

You can't have the attack speed buff and the ice weapon buff active at the same time FYI.

And you don't need to buy any of the lower tier skills to get Shamanic Resonance. You can just buy it for 500 gold, ignoring the 150 you could invest in the other two.

Thank you for the video, I have already started with this build, but my question is: can you stack the frost and wind on the weapon? it seems when you use the 2nd one the first buff icon disappear

You can use ammolite armor set. With ammolite armor set you will have so much damage which is good for weapons like two handed axe, halberd etc

i killed that giant looking monster in the forest without this build just shield and my basic sword plus bandages and try hard and the epicness i get when i press num 9 on keyboared just driven me to go here

I saw this build, thought i would try it out but the game ate my ice mace...the bug where things vanish from your pack is a little much with as hard as some stuff is to get. Edit: And my brand is gone too! That might make me quit playing this.

Don't. they just added a patch who fixes that. Alternativly you could just add a DEBUG.txt in the main data folder. This will allow you to spawn any item by pressing F1. Use that with moderation tho ;)

I started this game the other day and I'm going to have to start again because I landed myself imprisoned in a slave labour camp. Fpund a way out but I lost all my gear and my character is constantly seconds from death in the middle of nowhere

When you're thrown out from the bandit prison your (last dropped) bag will be just outside the walls so you're never locked out entirely from your gear. Fighting is NOT worth it most of the time as the weapons bandits have on them are mostly useful in tripwire traps with only a few dropping iron weapons you can upgrade into fang ones. The best way to tackle something in the open is with a bow so you aren't far off from taking whatever down when they're close enough for melee, less time you can be hit by them. Very little gear is worth hauling back so deconstruct, deconstruct, deconstruct. You'll live off tripwire traps for 2v1 encounters and even 1v1 against strong foes a very long time, don't fight fair, for anything against which 10 traps with iron spikes aren't enough RUN from it and you won't see yourself get pummeled around any longer.

@@cdgonepotatoes4219 thankyou for the advice, I've actually become really good at outward since posting this, but I would like to ask you one thing. Back when I originally deleted my character, it was after using the pit in vendavel fortress to escape (leaving my backpack behind because I hadn't found it) i died to a pistol shrip on the beach straight away, then i looked up where my bag should have gone on the Internet and got imprisoned again to retrieve my bag and it was gone. Also the compass icon for the bag wasn't showing up in the open world, in town or in vendavel fortress. This is why I deleted my character, it seemed like the respawn for the players bag reset or something most likely when i was re-imprisoned, what do you think?

This game is huge

This game will only get better, more content, refining certain mechanics, plus modding is already here

During endgame isnt there no point in using any shield that isnt the tsar shield since it has no durability and highest impact since most of the shields have bad durability and similar impact

Dude you must've spent weeks farming tsar stones if you had tsar stuff before game ends... I just ran through all the bosses with rune mage marathoner and was disappointed when I realized I just beat the game with a store bought armor and no unique weapons lol.

You are overwriting your Infuse Wind buff with your Varnish, are you not ?

the best armor is the white preist

Is shield gives protection while not blocking as well or just when in block stance?

Id take the horror shield, because it has exactly the same stats but its red. Outwardfashion?

Shield weight has literally 0 effect if you always have it equppied.....

Being melee means using heavy/medium armor right? Does that restrict or burden your movement for long travel?

Just a quick tip, I only recommend doing this when making builds (after you complete the game at least once) if you call your character “Code Sonic” than activate super speed in the settings menu. It makes travel insanely easy and if you don’t believe me just look it up.
