Hey guys! I thought I would give an update + some context for this video so you could learn more about what these outfits mean to me! Firstly, this video was filmed over a year ago, so many of the “basic” outfits in this video were not as trendy back then. I had only really seen few people doing the collared shirt paired with a crew neck trend, so it was definitely out of my comfort zone. And similar with the shirt and turtleneck. After being on KZread and Tiktok more openly, I’m much more confident about my outfits and my personal style, so that explains why I was able to post this to such a large audience. I hope that clears things up!

And it could also be the person themselves that does that to themselves. Im not disregarding the possibility that the girl wasnt made fun of or teased by the students at her school to make her be insecure about wearing those clothes even the comforting ones. It could also be her negative perspective with large doses of insecurity that makes her think if everyone's gonna judge her but in reality they dont really care. Sometimes when a person is too insecure about what most people think about them, it really molds the mentality into something so negative that it deludes whats reality and whats just in our heads. Thats one of the things i get from this video.

It's really sad when others make fun of you for the way you dress. Today at school I wore a knee-length denim skirt. Everyone asked me: "but is the skirt your grandmother's?" and also "you suck". But we shouldn't get discouraged and so I decided that I will wear this skirt as often as possible.💖😁

Let me just tell you, my life completely flipped when I stopped caring about what other people thought of me. They really don’t care about others they only care about theirselves. I wore lolita on a regular day when it wasn’t Halloween once, no one looked twice. They just said they liked my dress or didn’t care about it. I can understand why for the last one School dress codes are sooo sexist towards girls to where if a guy walked into school with that short a skirt on, teachers wouldn't even bat an eye, but if a girl wears it, they are subjected to the finger test and told they are a "distraction" and be ordered to go change and/or be written up You'd think the 21st century would finally recognize how wrong this is and change it, but that's just wishful thinking on my end 😒

I'm a senior and in the middle of the year we did an exercise as a class to list the bill of rights in an order we thought was right. We all agreed that safety was the biggest priority and our teacher read it and said "It's sad that you need to prioritize your safety rather than wanting to speak your mind" We were the first class to say safety and the only class to every unanimously agree on something without debate. School is scary, but everyone reading this will get through it. You deserve to feel safe, respected and heard, one day that change will happen and you or your children can go to school and feel safe.

I think it looks great on you, you should do it (looks like something I’d want to wear if I didn’t have uniforms)

the first two are literally normal outfits you can see everyday, the third is really pretty but someone might point it out. don't be scared to express who you are by wearing simple clothes

Ik everyone is saying “ i don’t see why she’s scared to wear these they’re normal “ but i actually can relate. It isn’t always revealing clothes that we are scared to wear, it’s how we look in certain clothes. Maybe we won’t look as good as other people in them. I personally own the first two outfits or smth similar but i wore them like once or twice cuz i don’t think i look as good in them as everybody else. And always remember everyone’s struggle is different and she could be scared to wear them for another reason that’s just the way i relate to it :) Ok shoot this blew up! But im glad i found that other ppl also feel that way, so always remember that you are never alone :)

@@lina-lo3fg yea I understand what you're saying and the third outfit (the skirt and blazer) was maybe out of her comfort zone but if she doesn't wear jeans and top to school what else does she wear? Edit: 6 months later and now i somehow understand where she's coming from and i won't question it now coz as someone in the comments below said maybe she wears hoodies and im not so confident about how my body looks so i also wear hoodies all the time and even at 30° celsius i wear a jacket coz im not as comfortable in wearing tops and stuff as i was before.. so yea.

I have SOOO MANY outfits in mind that I’ll NEVER wear. I go to a school where all the students dress country or sporty. I’d stick out like a sore thumb if I wore these outfits and my “friends” would judge me. Plus I like comfort over style but I totally relate.

Right?! This fortunately got normalized so people won’t judge you for using it, at least from where I’m from. In my case there’s stuff I really want to wear but don’t cause it’s too short, tight or just too goth for me to even feel comfortable while going out. Even then, I dress fairly gothic and people stare at me or whisper but it’s better to just ignore them!

I’m going to try it this year tho since I finally feel kind of confident enough to do it. So actually it does have to do with stress/anxiety. No excuses we’re made. @Minjiholix Yeah, well every girl is different. Something that may be basic to a lot of girls may be new to someone else. And it does have to do with social anxiety, the person is scared that someone will point out what they are wearing or make fun of them or something. Lmao Do your research before saying something as stupid as that 💀🙏✨

i know social anxiety is a monster, i struggle with it too. but my advice is to just wear them. they’re great outfits, and i fear you’ll regret not wearing what you wished you could’ve. i know i do.

i love watching other girlies wear the extravagant clothes to school cause seeing them wearing it gives me more confidence to do so. a lot of them get inspired by kpop stage outfits

To anyone reading this, I hope it can reach your heart: I recently graduated from school and now I’m so sad that I never dared to really show myself to the outside world. I just realised that most of the time that I’ve been alive I always lived in fear of what others thought of me and now that it’s too late I am so full of regret. I never really got to develop my personality because I was so stuck in this suffocating mindset of feeling like I had to please everyone. Please don’t do the same mistakes that I did. You are a gorgeous human being inside and out and it’s your life. Mistakes happen. Shit happens. So what? The worst thing that can happen is looking back at life in a few years and regretting never to have really lived. Be brave! It’s okay to be vulnerable! Wear the stuff you want and don’t be afraid to be nice to people before they’ve made the first move! I believe in you and although I don’t know you I love you. Sorry this was probably way too long and maybe way to serious but perhaps I can kind of prevent somebody from making the same mistakes I did. But no matter how late it is I believe there is always a way to change things for the better. I will try to. I wish you all the best!!

No, they do care enough to notice and talk about it behind your back or loud enough to make a show of it. It's a lie when people said no one cares what you do, say, or wear because people do. Even while going on minding their own business even if they might not directly confront you about it. Because in reality I am one of those people. I judge people even when I seem like I don't care. I stop myself most the times while doing it if I notice myself doing it. But I still judge and I made horrible assumptions.

Always wear what ever you want. Trends change constantly. Wear what you love.

These are lovely! And actually quite conservative and not improper whatsoever. I'd say go for it! You've nothing to lose and will gain a lot by having the chance to express yourself.
