I finally swapped the factory Goodyear Eagle F1 tires my 2014 Shelby GT500 came with for a set of new Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2s. Just from my short drive I can tell, these are going to rip.

The worst thing in my opinion is all the rubber on your fender.I would tape them up so no rubber on the fenders.

Iam not sure how your car handles but I know they handle better than what most people think.My 08 besides being fast but with all the upgrades handles great lol but my 1 super snakes take it too a entire different level.LOL Iam not even mentioning how fast they are.

I bought my Shelby 6 months ago. It had 5500 miles on it with the Goodyear Eagle F1's on it. Could not get traction until I swapped over to the Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2's. It's has great traction now.

These cars are amazing. Great looking car. The price on them are skyrocketing.

Seeing this while driving my KIA Sorento 2022..

I have Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires on my '11 GT500, and they hook great on the street. Still can't go full throttle in low gears, but the Michelins are miles better than any other tire I've tried. I don't do drag radials. They aren't for my driving style. I wanted to do Cup 2s, but they aren't made in a size that fits my aftermarket front wheels.

The TOYO PROXES R888R are really good too

Nice video, I'm currently shopping around to replace my original f1s on my 13 500. Did you look into the nitto envo's at all? Did you consider running a 295 or even 305? I think that's the largest these stock wheels can handle.

I tried multiple tires on my fbo 12 gt500. The best tires for these cars hands down are toyo R888R.

Just needs some Borla S-Type exhaust and it will be beautiful!

Got a question which is off subject so please forgive me. I have a 2011 GT Mustang with a manual and now also a 2013 Shelby GT 500. What’s freaking me out is the shift from 4th to 5th gear in the GT 500 with reverse being next to 5th gear. In the Mustang GT reverse is next to 1st gear all the way on the left. My concern is missing 5th gear and hitting reverse gear by mistake. 4th gear to 5th gear doesn’t seem to be as natural a slip in as the other shifts. Is it even possible to hit reverse when when going down the highway and shifting or is there some type of lockout at speed that would prevent that. That mistake could be disastrous! Thanks for any help!

Love my michelin pilot sport 4s. If you go 4s in the future you'll never go back. Say goodbye to burnouts if you do they are so sticky...and expensive but well worth it.

@@myvalium1 mine came with a set on the stocks I got different rims/tires. went around the block and came back to have the tires swapped out. I'll never use a different brand again.

@@myvalium1 yeah companies go with the cheapest to save a buck. It sucks but then again I'd rather find a good deal myself then pay what they would upcharge for them.

Why do you go to neutral from 1st to 2nd? Why not just pull it straight down

Cup2s are pretty narly on cold roads. Be sure to do a burnout before you drive 😁

Yeah the Eagle F1’s are no bueno.. I said fuck it and tried out the Toyo R888r’s on my GT500 and they hook like no tomorrow. They’re just louder than hell but nothing a little Corsa can’t fix 🙂

mt et street r in 305/45/18 will change your life

The original Goodyear's on mine work just fine above 80 degrees, anything under that is a crap shoot. Having said that the car has 7800 miles and is getting new shoes in the spring, same choice as yours, peace.

When you swapped out your tires, did you notice wear on the inside 2 inches of your front tires ? My 2014 with 22,000 miles has wear on the inside of the fronts.
