Really enjoy being a part of the crowd without being a part of the scenery, but a more realistic title would be "Nothing much really happens except an explanation of what *might* happen if a tourist doesn't move out of the way of the Horse Guards." It was nice to see the smile tho.

Specially when those horses get spooked by some tourists with bad vibes of hold the rain they get nervous, but people don't understand or they don't want to understand, how risky they put those guards, specially those with little kids they put the kids right in front of the horse without knowing is they bite the kid. They are some very tame but some of those horses are very nervous from some tourists. They get the good and bad vibes , from the person. You can see the difference when is a child with special Need or a adult with handy cap they are super very smart animals. But some are very stubborn they get feed up with the public. Simple as that.,😊

No. The horse is on duty for one hour while the Guard (soldier) is on duty for two hours of standing. The horses are back in the stables after one hour and won't be back for a week! The Guards are UK military and have been in combat. This is an elite position to be in the sentry box. They have other duties to complete just like any other military personnel.

@@RobinaDunstan it is the docile war horses that doze now and then. The horses are trained to be in public and in parades. They are there for one hour and won't be back for a week of duty. They are very well looked after! When the bells are rung for the change of the Guard and horse, the horse gets excited because he knows the rest of his day is for pampering, the best feed, clean temperature-controlled stables, and bath and rub downs, treats, exercise. And it;s often Anericans being the most disrespectful to our guards. They embarass themselves. I've often though they wouldn't do that at home and get away with it. They troopers will shout or push people out of their way and there are armed police on site to deal with it if things go too far but we understand that tourists want to have these photo opportunities so it carries on.

They are MOD, Military of Defense armed police, not London Police. They are there because of the terrorist attacks in London. Headquarters -RAF Wyton, Cambridgeshire, England. the military and MOD have barracks in Whitehall, which is a road and area in the City of Westminster, Central London, England. The road forms the first part of the A3212 road from Trafalgar Square to Chelsea. It is the main thoroughfare running south from Trafalgar Square towards Parliament Square. The street is recognised as the centre of the Government of the United Kingdom and is lined with numerous departments and ministries, including the Ministry of Defence, Horse Guards and the Cabinet Office. Consequently, the name "Whitehall" is used as a metonym for the British civil service and government, and as the geographic name for the surrounding area. "Lee Rigby, from Middleton, Greater Manchester, was born in 1987 and had served in Cyprus, Germany, and Afghanistan before becoming a recruiter and assisting with duties in the Tower of London. He was attacked when he was returning to barracks from working at the Tower." Most of the soldiers there have been in combat and can handle themselves.

It is because the helmet is brass, heavy, and rubs on the bridge of his nose. The "chin strap" is worn under the bottom lip and is very irritating. If they wear the chin strap under their chin and the horse tries to throw him (which is highly unlikely, as the soldier is highly trained and the horses love them and their caretakers) if the chin strap is UNDER the chin, it can break the neck of the soldier because of the weight of the helmet plus it fits rather snugly.

The government won’t see the lawsuit coming and it will be the soldier’s fault as usual.🤷🏻‍♂️

that is England not America. There are no lawsuits. Do you even know about the building? of course not. "Google it!" ever crossed your mind? The soldier and horse are on one hour mounted duty and the tourists are warned with the signs on the walls.

There are some entitled assholes for sure, but what people fail to realize is they are put out here on purpose. People have always been able to get close to guards and take pictures for decades. They are all trained for this. Even the horses. Both sides have fun with it for the most part. And it ends up being great promotional content four tourism.

Why all the moaning & criticising. If you want the public involved what do you expect, they are tourists. If you don't like it don't invite tourists. I see absolutely nothing wrong in this video with any members of the public or tourists.

The problem is its a street front accessible to all the public. Unless they place restrictions on access to the Kings Guards and horses it will continue to be the shit fight it is. Its up to the powers that be to recognise the security issues and EDUCATE people that this is a working defence area and not a tourist attraction with actors representing Kings Guards🫣
