Actually, it isn’t a cult. It is a branch of a religion. It’s the same a in the Protestant branch of Christianity you have Presbyterians, Methodists, Baptists, etc, to name a few. Each one has different traditions that affect how they behave in public. I’m not defending the way so many of the Hasidic Jews behave at Horse Guards, only making a distinction in word used to describe them.

The contempt , disrespect, ripping down of IDF recruitment posters was astonishing. If that's how they treat their own military in the light of their perpetual political and military problems then they aren't going to be likely to respect another nation's military. I can understand if military matters are precluded by your religion because of non violence. Buddhist monks have a similar philosophy yet they're able to understand the work and discipline required and are able to show respect to everyone they encounter.

I am not Jewish but my late brother-in-law was Orthodox. He thought he Ultra-Orthodox were nuts. I do not know why, particularly with the Horse Guards, soldiers at the U.S. Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, or other ceremonial place that they have to be obnoxious. Possibly a guilty conscience because they refuse to serve themselves and some even refuse to work so their wives raise the kids do the housework and support the family. Someone asked about the skullcap. It is worn as a sign if respect to God.

The thing that's totally laughable is that the public, in general, don't understand that these guys are Guards. Not photo ops (well, by osmosis, they are) but soldiers. If that Trooper gets off his horse.... I used to know several that cycled in and out of Windsor Castle and Buck House and these are not "toy soldiers". Treat them with respect and they're going to do the same back to you.

Difficult to hear what the Jew is saying but at 2.20 or so I catch the words "how many ??? to change a light bulb? I think someone turned his light bulb out. Absolutely awful conduct from that fellow. No manners, no decency, no boundaries & no respect. That type just sneer at everything, they absolutely disgust me to my core. I am Irish and have toured all over UK over the last 40 years and every holiday was as delightful as before. Met excellent people & still in contact with many. Tourists must always respect the people and culture of the host state or country. Viva UK !!
