I think for the well being of the horses, and the guards on their backs, they should put a white line like they use to keep people back in the courtyard to keep people at a safe distance from the horses. I feel sorry for the horses being poked by so many people each day. It would spoil it for the well behaved caring folks but those horses and guards put up with far too much from tourists.

They could put a sign saying do not pat the horses and I agree with a square around the front and sides of the horses 2 foot to the side and 2 foot at the front of the horse and 5hat 8s as close as they can get. The other things a sign saying if u have a fear of horses don't come to close. 5hey way most of them come up to the horse and throwing there hand back and forth and arms up it naturally will spook the animal. Can still get a good picture without rushing at the animal and touching it. These animals have to endure a lot from the public. There could be a more orderly way of getting a photo without dozens rush at and crowding the horses

they don't, i mean come on, it just sounds ridiculous to say that🤷🏼‍♀️ to be fair, for some of them just being there is unbelievable, (i bet they would sum the experience up as majestic) then add the fact that it is the home of a true King, true royalty, add to that that it is a contreversial royal family, add to that you can't never tell when a member of that royalty just may sneak out long enough to give you a wave, enough for anyone that adores this family & their reign, the Guard is what a tourist 9 x out of 10 will definently see & it's the best they'll get 9 x out of 10, the desire to touch something of it is understandable, it isn't like going to your favorite bands concert, it is a King!! the Guard also brings alot of it on themselves bc they do break away from the strict norm to accomodate a tourist that wants a photo with them, saw one let a girl kiss him on his cheek, as long as that keeps going on & publicized you may as well get used to tourists trying touch these Guards or their horses🤷🏼‍♀️ they almost literally just can't help themselves bc of what being there IS❤ i think it is important to keep in mind that just bc tourists do not live in Europe doesn't mean their fondness for the place is misplaced just bc they reach out & touch them❤ & frankly Europe thrives on tourism just like any other country so...to be clear, i agree they should never touch them or paw at them, & fondness is no excuse to look over the facts that they are on duty, & that back in Queen E the 1's reign nobody was pawing at the Guard just bc they were there, they are to be respected, try not to think tourists are over there & doing this bc they're trble makers, they are simply absolutely astonished & hopefully honored to be there❤

The horses have enough to put up with,as it is, from self-absorbed , boisterous, often stupid or reckless tourists, without the deafening din and high-pitched sound of whistles, amplified voices, sirens and other loud traffic noise. All the guards are trying to do is their job, but I really feel for them and their mounts.

Easy solution - protestors walk quietly past the horses. When at a sensible distance they start the noise again. It’s a very short distance to move quietly. The group in the video was protesting about their right to keep bulldogs. If they love animals, it’s surprising that they don’t seem to care at all about the horses.

There must be another way to stop the crowd from crowding these horses and do it in an orderly way. Have a person to one side opposite side to gate to tell people to line up and take there turn in orderly fashion. When there are a dozen or more rushing to get there pictures the horse feels closed in . They have to sort something out before someone gets seriously injured or the guard or the horse get injured.

What? She is one of the first people who I have seen on these videos who approached the horse correctly by holding her hand out and moving slowly, instead of just lurching forward and touching it. The officer didn't tell her off, he just told her it wasn't a good time because the protestor's racket was spooking the horse. and then 20 seconds later a young woman came up and just suddenly started touching the horse and apparently that was fine. LOL! But I get that drama gets clicks.

Why is this allowed so many people there for the solder and the horse. Its not a Zoo or a playground. They didnt protect the horses and what a terrible noise all the time.

Can tell the kings guards and horse's got more attention then those stupid protesters. Probably not even knowing what they're protesting for like most.

Why oh Why must some mindless zombie tourist feel the need to hold the horses reigns……so disrespectful and Dam right rude!! While I am having my daily rant……..why do they allow rowdy noisy demonstrations any where near horse guards parade in the first place. Those poor horses get really spooked and become dangerous to the trooper and the tourist’s nearby.?????🙄

why didn't they move the horses inside like they did with the past protest groups? and apparently the monarchy isn't concerned that some of these 'tourists' could be infiltrators or just plain mentally unbalanced like that woman the guards had so much trouble with earlier this year -

In fairness to her, she listened and moved on. Your thumbnail and headline doesn’t represent what that woman did or more to the point, didn’t do. Please, yes, call out irresponsible tourists and country men/women but don’t make out something that didn’t happen. Your videos become null and void when you do this.
