Very few watching would know whether she's feeding the horse or not, and even those who did notice would think they could happily do what she did. That's neither protective nor doing her job properly.

@@heatherives8646 Sorry, who asked? The policewoman spoke to him and told him "they're not your horses to feed". Two minutes later she went up to the same horse and put her open hand, palm up, under the horse's muzzle as for all the public to see as if feeding him. Some of the tourists may not be the brightest bulbs in the box, but you can't make up this sort of stupidity by the police.

@@heatherives8646 No, bread's not harmful to horses at all - it's not nutritious, but it doesn't do any harm. The troopers / gunners aren't actually banned from replying to the public at Horseguards, it's at their discretion. What they did in the past when asked was to tell the person asking to take a bite first, which was a reasonable precaution - it's not banned. Edit: just remembered - it's birds that bread's bad for. As they've got much smaller stomachs they get full with only a little bread.

Why was that family trying to force the little boy to pet the horse? He was obviously afraid and kept pulling away. Bad parents!

I like the female police officer who protects the horse! Well done!

Excellent job by policewoman. It is about time that people realise these are real soldiers and real horses .

That Trooper isn't the only one wearing a medal. They should all be wearing the Coronation Medal plus other medals. Just wish the visitors would realise that the Troopers & Guards are all combat trained soldiers, served in war zones & should be shown respect.

Being a former horse owner. I can attest to people trying to kiss my horses on the muzzle. I put in hey they can peel your face off like the rind on an orange . These are the same people who look to cuddle bear cubs or stand next to a bison for a selfie 😮😢

😂i just love that lady police officer! She don't take crap from anyone. Wth is with all the Chinese grabbing the reins? Then when the guard moves it away from them, they look so startled or giggle like fools. I liked it so much better when guards were able to shout and push the horse out a bit so people really get a clue. Tourons!!!

@@TessaHainey It depends on the country - I've lived in Thailand for over thirty years, but I've lived and worked in Brunei, Indonesia, Hong Kong, and Cambodia before that (Army). They're all different. Generally it's intended to defuse the situation. A Thai may smile at you after he's stood on your foot, or even tripped you up and you've fallen downstairs. They may even laugh, but they're not laughing at you - if an ambulance comes to pick you up, they smile. I've been in a car with a friend who fell asleep at the wheel and nearly killed us both, and she laughed! It's about avoiding confrontation and asking for (and giving) forgiveness - that's what the girls were doing here.

No one realises...that every time someone grabs the reins...the horse receives punishment...as the riders are pulling back on the reins...again amd again...why some of these horses get crabby with tourists...

It was a lovely gesture to move the horse near the wheelchair user so they were both in the picture😍😍😍

The stupidity of people is amazing.

Love the lady at the very end who gave a respectful bow to the horse as she approached and as she left! Nice!

Just when you think things can't get any crazier at Horse Guards, this pillock rolls up with a sachet or similar of apparently, Marmite. But lets face it, there could have been anything in that item he was offering to the horse. It's about time the public are not allowed up close to those horses, it is definitely getting out of hand. Many visitors are OK, and behave respectfully, but they are becoming outnumbered by the disrespectful and it has to stop.

That woman 1:18 doesn't seem to realize that the horse could bite off her baby's hand and arm. Amazing.

I love that the lady asked if ahe could give the apple to the horse before she eventried. It was a VERY juicy apple for sure! The horse absolutely loved it! How kind!❤

She was lovely but some rude tourists in the background, were telling her to use her words. She was wary to ask the soldier, was probably a bit shy and didn't want to disturb them too much, she didn't deserve to be spoken to like that.

Apart from the fact they shouldn’t be feeding the horses, they might like to bear in mind that eating an apple with a bit in, is damned near impossible......Leave them alone!

Firstly you said it’s public duties, it’s not public interaction, mauling the horses, that’s why some have started biting that didn’t bite previously! Secondly, arrested for giving an animal something that a) it could be allergic to, b) it could have eaten the plastic container, c) did not ask the guard!! As the police officer said, not your horse, don’t feed it!! Some horses *love Marmite but its strong and far better spread very very thinly on bit of plain bread or similar.. Some hate it! Bit like humans I guess... Its full of Vit B and good for them, BUT horses can have allergies. Never feed someone else's animal unless you are prepared to pay the Vets bill.

Maybe they should consider charging the public a fine every time they dishonor the guardsman and horse instead of allowing them to walk off laughing and mocking. @@adeleozanne3427 - I am American too. I wouldn’t know. But I would assume whatever rank the Queens Guardsman holds, it transfers over to the horses. Since they work as one. Just like a K-9 and an officer. They are one. Therefore both deserve respect!

Can you explain which of the male officers you are talking about? I saw at least three male officers, and at least one female. They were all, in my opinion, equally “on the ball.”

This is on a daily basis. The Chinese adults are some of the worst and I have only ever seen one orthodox Jewish man behave out of dozens of videos,they never fail to disrespect the guards and get asked to leave the area regularly.

How stupid do you have to be, putting an immobilised baby next to a military horse! Thankfully they are by nature good horses, but still, that situation could have gone the other way.

In all the years that I’ve worked with horses, with the exception of the odd character that had been taught that all humans, regardless of size, are the devil incarnate; no horse has ever intentionally nipped, let alone bitten a baby whilst investigating these tiny humans. In general, the same goes for small children. However it is the responsibility of the supervising adult to insure that their kids are safe.

@@oldharpydisguised709 There have been a few kids in these videos who unfortunately have been bitten, so I just hope it doesn’t happen to a child that young. Like you said it is the parent’s responsibility to keep the child safe. If they are wanting to take a picture, I think the parent should be the one to stand on the side closest to the horse or if they are holding the child, they should hold them away from the horse to help lessen the risk of the child being bit.
