I am autistic and have DID. I just wanted to say your video on inner world has helped explain things a lot easier for me. For us, it’s a call center environment (since that’s what we know) and everything works just like call center oh fun. So if one of us wants to be fronting, there has to be an intentional “interaction transfer” or sometimes not so intentional

"logic doesn't always get a say" This is something that I find hardest to deal with when dealing with my mental health. Trying to explain to someone that I understand the logical side that should make my anxiety /depression go away, but it doesn't work like that can be difficult. Sometimes the brain just does what it wants and feels what it feels and you cannot just logic it away. It is really interesting to hear about the inner world and the complexity of it. While it is obviously the norm for your system, most people will never experience or understand it so having this more personal explanation is amazing, thank you :)

So true. I know most people are propably nice-ish and wouldn't hurt me. I also know that chest pains don't have to be heart attacks, especially if your ribs are all weird. I still have social anxiety and anxiety in general though.

Our inner world is an absolutely beautiful world filled with magic. We haven’t built homes for ourselves yet, so each night we choose where we want to sleep within the areas that we have access to. I think we should build homes, but I like camping out a lot. There are so many stars and the moon is always super bright it’s really beautiful.

I feel like my alters are still in the dark place, I can’t reach them very well. Idk what to do to get them out of there and be more willing to talk about their feelings. My Trigger alter is the protective alter. He makes therapy hard.

Your inner world is so interesting. We have 7 to 10 alters depending on want that come out and front for the body depending on the given situation. That may seem like a lot but at this time we have over 40 alters and fractures combined. All of them have access to our inner world and have access to the "dorm" common areas and have their own bedrooms. Four of our female adult alters are all in a relationship with our Partner so they have to share time out to be in their relationships. Almost all of our alters except Gabe and Gate are restricted from the lower or catacombs where all of our trauma memories are held. Our protectors have full access to our front/welcome area and inner world but not the catacombs. They have to be allowed to go behind the black door to the non-fronting alters. We find it surprising that Wyn isn't comfortable with or have more access to the inner world. Each system is so different, we are enjoying learning about all the individualized systems and channels, thank you again.

Since the first video that described the inner world having a beach, and a bonfire and its set on an island, I kept thinking Kingdom Hearts playstation game island. But now I'm picturing Moana island. Thanks Daniel for taking the time to explain and give more information on how it works.

Kindgom Hearts is great! I might actually use that to help describe our island being it's own isolated world now. If I remember correctly, that's sort of the way it works in the game, too, right? -Daniel

I believe so. When you first start the Kingdom Hearts game, the very first one that came out, you start the game on isolated island (which you later find out in Kingdom Hearts 2 its not very far from a town). But from the drawing you showed, it seems like the island in the movie Moana fits much better?

It makes me think a bit of Hetalia. They have these beach scenes that don't line up with whatever the storyline is. Where all the characters are just hanging out and relaxing. Being themselves, away from everything else.

We also have an island, but with a Giant tree that acts as home base. The odd part for our system is that our inner world is extremely violent, to the extent that is a source of new trauma.

This makes coconciousness much easier to understand because I can visualize it better. When you mentioned the goal for your system is to integrate, I randomly started wondering if people's individual preferences and personalities change the host's personality or preferences once integrated. I don't know if this has been answered before. Like if Wyn were the last person left after integration, would she act different or like different things than she does now based on her integrated alters? Some examples would be food preferences, shyness, hand writing.

My therapist spoke of a client who had completely integrated her system. Apparently afterward she could see “remnants” of the others in her everyday behavior. They had all truly become one, and no one really disappeared. -Wyn

I think fog or an empty space with no lights could describe our inner space for now. My alters don’t know each other and they don’t want to be seen. I’ve never been happy in my life so it’s really hard to picture a place where my alters would feel that way. My alters are human like but the charcteristics arent clear, expect for the child. I have a mommy character but I have no idea what she looks like. It’s sad cuz I’d really like to get to know her and know what she looked like. I just know she is safe and trustworthy, but she is still a little distant, just like she would be insecure and ashamed of herself.

I don't have this disorder myself but have been curious about it for a few weeks now. I have a few questions if any of you would want to answer them. (I'm sorry if any are insensitive at all, I don't mean to be!) - Do any of you dream often? If so what is dreaming like with DID? Does the disorder affect it at all? - I know you (Daniel) described how it worked and what it looked like in the video, but what's it like having an inner world? Does it feel just as real as the physical one? - So DID can only be developed during childhood, but is that also the case for OSDD? - Do you guys ever poke fun at each other? Also, I really loved your DID in the movies videos. If I can make a suggestion, I think reviewing the portrayal of Mike in Total Drama Revenge of the Island and Total Drama All Stars would be interesting. It's not the best representation as far as from what I've watched and read, but it would still be an interesting watch.

you guys are so interesting! I just started watching your videos a couple of days ago, and I am truly enjoying them! you have such a beautiful way of explaining everything, its really awesome hearing you talk... I know how hard relationships in the outside world are, so its refreshing to see how you guys manage to keep connected and live together even tho your personalities are so different!... I'm sure its a challenge but you're doing amazing! keep doing what you're doing, keep us posted and I wish you happiness :) I'm totally gonna keep watching your vids, thank you for helping us understand....... The knowledge you impart, is not only useful with ppl with this disorder; it helps in life in general!! I may not have such separate and distinct personalities in me, but I sure as hell understand because in part it feels that way.... like the 'me' from the past has a different personality than 'me' now, so she still influences my decisions of today, even tho I'm not who I used to be, does that make sense?? so in a way we ALL have little fractions of ourselves all over the place, with all the good things and bad things that have happend to us in the past, influencing the way we are today... so the way you explain your world helps me understand my world and other people's world too... its really interesting! (btw I'm not trying to say I experience the same thing as you and I'm not trying to simplify it, there's just so much to say its difficult to cram it all up in one post)

I have recently found you channel. I'm so glad to see that you manage to cope with this "diagnostic" and make the best out of it. I am truly inspired. I also want to share that after studding a few individuals and systems (George Gurdjieff, Bill Plotkin, Hal and Sidra Stone, Jane Roberts...just to name a few) that talk about the many "I's", or sub personalities that live inside of a a person; It has always been a questions in the back of my mind, aren't diagnosed people with D.I.D only more "aware" of their inner world and of their parts that make the Ego? And maybe the rest of us "normal", would have a lot to learn from such people. Because, apparently we all have such parts, some of them integrated, some of them rebelled, some of them hidden, and so forth - but we just treat them all as one I. This is why, I believe, shamanic journeying makes so much sense in these cases, because one can go and integrate parts/memories etc in safe manner, and also realize some extent of his/her inner world. Anyway, thank you for sharing your stories.

Your inner world sound's fascinating. Thanks so much for sharing! I don't have DID and Im not sure if this has been addressed before (I'm currently making my way through all your videos) but Can ask how the island came to exist in its current state? What I mean is, have some alters always lived on the island and visited each other there or was the island created later to give you guys a place to live/communicate etc and there was a point when it wasn't so....concrete ? Also you mentioned that you guys adapt/change the island (e.g. the hiking trail); how does that work? If someone wanted a new building for some reason, could they sort of will it into being or do changes just happen and you discover them? Can anyone living there make changes? Thanks

I just found your videos. I have to say that I’m new to this and I don’t really understand it so much, but I’m so glad that you are so willing to be open and teach. You all seem like wonderful people and I can’t wait to follow your journey and see how your lives unfold with each other. I’d love for you to post a video with Wynn’s husband as well. I think it would be neat to see how he relates to some of you, Wynn included. Don’t know if he is comfortable with that...just a thought. 😊

i love hearing about inner worlds, and your explanation was one of my favorites. i'd be interested in hearing how vivid this is for the individuals in your system? for us, our inner world is very hazy and ephemeral. some things will be very physical and detailed, but other things - like our faces and the walls - are blurry, like an out of focus picture. sometimes things are flat like a cartoon, and sometimes things are realistic. is there a place where you (or anyone) go more in depth on the technicalities like this?

for some reason I'm having trouble thinking how this is real. I'm not say it's not, I'm saying I can't understand it. I can't get my head around it. It sounds so scary.

The island reminds me of "the great barrier reef" ? world from Ty The Tasmanian Tiger 2 for PS2. The picture sketch is almost identical lol 😁

I’d like to have an inner world, but there is no space that I imagine could feel safe. I remember doing an excercise like this with my therapist, but it’s still different cuz it wasn’t about dissociation. She told me to involve people that I feel safe around in the ”bubble”. I want to move on in my life and move physically in a place where I feel safe, it’s under work rn, would be so happy if it happened. Maybe then I could slowly start to understand my psychology more once I’d feel safe. Sadly I’d have to stop going to therapy but atleast I’d have safe people around me which I don’t have now. I realy hope my plan works so I can attend therapy for one more yesr and then move away into a better place. I don’t feel good here. I wish I didn’t have to go trough another winter alone, it’s the worst. The darkness reminds me of my childhood and the events around it.

Daniel! I've just found this channel and I have to say of all the alters you seem just so cool and like you'd be a great friend. No shade to Wyn or any of the other alters though.
