Our first two weeks in mainland Mexico: discovering tequila in Tequila
Mike rolls off of the TMC ferry in Mazatlán, Sinaloa. He sets out to explore the town of Tequila to learn all about farming of blue agave plants and the process of making tequila, the drink. After spending two weeks with family in Ohio, Dani rejoins the crew for the first time on mainland Mexico.

Thanks Amy! 😊
As a fellow traveler of the pan American, I highly recommend using the state department travel warnings for Mexico. They’re state and often road specific. Level 1 and 2 are preferred. Tourists are a target, and your rig screams easy money. Safe travels friends 😊

Thanks for the tip and the concern! We do use the travel warnings but have found them to be a little over-generalized at times. Thankfully we've only had positive experiences so far. Happy and safe travels to you!
I loved watching it ❤

Thanks Ewa, miss you!
It was good to meet you Dani, when you stopped by Hemisphere Coffee Roasters in Ohio a while back. I'm assuming that was a later trip to Ohio than the one in this video because of timing. Be safe, take care and enjoy the foods of Argentina when you finally get there! I loved my visit there several weeks ago.

Hey there! It was nice meeting you too. We plan on visiting your roastery again soon (currently in Ohio for a while!).

Hey Eric, we have North Lights (northlights.com/) and they have been great!
How is the A/C working in Mexico? What's your total run time before the batteries deplete?
@TheMortells

Hey Joe - the A/C has been working great in Mexico. Realistically if we were parked in the shade and had no solar or charge from our inverter then it would probably run for about 16 hours before depleting the batteries. We charge pretty quick while driving so if we drive 2-3 hrs every other day then we typically have plenty of battery. If we are going to sit still for 3+ days and we need the AC most of the time during the day then we try to find a campsite that has power to plug into. (Just to be clear this is off of our custom tesla battery setup, not the stock goal zero)

@@TheMortells Understood. Thanks! We're looking into a Scout now but we live in South Florida where it's 80's during the winter and 100+ with High humidity in the late summer Aug/Sept. Also, we drive a 2018 Ram Diesel Mega Cab - how do you think that the truck will do with that camper on top. Assume that we put on the airbags, etc. Can't really bring myself to trade the truck in just yet.
