Here’s a tip: If you’re gonna bid for a few different players just to compare their wages, make sure you agree on a deal with all of them. When it’s time to confirm the transfer never ever cancel it cause it’ll affect your relationship with their agents. Just keep delaying the transfer until the parent club cancels the transfer as this will not affect your relationship with the agent. *Agents will demand a higher fee if you have a bad relationship with them.

just remember Fm doesnt act like a game. Your decisions always have an impact. Bidding for mulitple players in the same position will upset your current players which will affect team morale

It might be worth considering that you don't really have a creative element in your 2 CMs, which might be why it's harder to have offensive chances. The ball winning midfielder can win the ball, but just tries to shift it to a creative player and a box to box might not be the best for that.

ignore the people telling you to buy certain players, sick of other youtubers always doing what the people who watch want. just do what YOU want to do. This is your save. have fun. top guy

Great video Matt! Although, one thing I think you could improve upon is around 9:50, you offered 65k, Masuaku's agent asked for 71k, and you said 70k. 99% of the time in FM you could have said 65k again and they would have accepted it. You can be very brutal and stubborn when it comes to contract talks and repeatedly refuse to increase your offer. The only time you need to worry about upsetting the agent is when the writing next to the agent's face goes yellow, that means they are on their final straw and you need to please them.

Gets me depressed watching your gameplay then going back to playing on my laptop, your in game gameplay is so smooth.

You should have a different tactic for home and away maybe. Try to control the game like you are at home, but look to be more counter attacking away. Controlling the whole time may only be a good idea if you're a top team. Also, you could use the 'away' tactic in home matches against bigger sides, so you're not trying to control the game against the likes of Man City. Just an idea anyways. Loving the series, keep it going.

Hi Mat, loving this series’s as football manager is such a great game, I myself have football manager but I don’t really have a clue what I’m doing or what I’m looking for for example I don’t know got to scout players or how to look for a certain positions and I don’t have a clue what tactics to use so if you could do a video explaining everything to do at the start and things to look out for would really help me out and I think few others are in this situation! Why? If he plays 2 games in a episode and then ca 3-4 in between (some times more some times less) then it wont be boring because a season wont take forever to play if he plays a couple games off cam

I like the pace this save is moving. Really enjoying it

Quick recommendation: neither of your midfielders will hold position. Your BWM will chase after the ball wherever it is. Your BBM will be up and down the pitch. It was okay against wolves as they were a man down. Against 11 players, when they attack, 90% of the time your midfielders will be out of position. Possibly change your BWM to CM on defend. That way he will still look to close down, but will be more aware of the space he's leaving in the center of the pitch. Love the series so far :)

Glad to see some FM being uploaded! Team looks much stronger, maybe could have signed some youth talents from larger clubs on loan deals to strengthen up the squad depth!

Hope you're enjoying Sweden Matt :) would recommend playing a few games off camera each episode to quicken the pace of the series otherwise each season will take about 55 episodes.

Decent watch. Get rid of deadwood like Elliot and lazaar and you will save loads on wages which can be put back in the transfer budget. Also Ritchie is too slow to be a winger

on next year’s FM i would love to see you do a save where you start out managing w a lower ranked team in europe and progressively increase your reputation and move clubs every 2-3 seasons until you get to the bigger european clubs like a journeyman-esque save

it is useful to keep tabs with the news report, you can seee someone that is wanted by other clubs who turned up to be very very very good. Just like how I found out Dennis Man and Sergio Gomez

You have "cheesed" this save a little bit so far , but nonetheless I am really enjoying it!

I sold Lejeune, Dummett, Diame, Clarke, Richie, Darlow, Yedlin and Joselu for 70 million and bought in Berezentski, Ziyech, Pearson, Vargas and Cadwell for 40 million. It is now December and I am 6th in the Premier League. So I met the philosophy of signing young English players and players with high sell on values so that 40 million is now worth 90 million. Woodman is a greta player and he is rotated into my team.

@@felikskurnatowski683 I didn't put any however I have made at least 25 percent in their overall market values. I started with a transfer budget of 3 million but sold wisely and bought in players that I knew would suit the team.

You shouldn’t take off the relegation release clause from their contracts. If u keep it u can pay the players a lower wage and it is unlikely u will get relegated with the squad u have.

Mgh has a little bit f an African rebuild going on.. every played he’s signed has been African. Unique, I rate it 💯💯💪💪

Just a heads up: Bidding for players and then cancel the deal can make players more unvilling to join you if you do it too often. At least that's how it worked a couple of years ago when I still played FM.

Im 4 seasons into a Newcastle save and for the 1st 3 seasons Ki was my best midfielder, despite having players with better star ratings, he always forced his way into the team. Put him on set pieces and he will bag a good amount of assists and goals

You've got too many players on support duties. I'd push your FBs to support and one of your IFs to attack.

You can compare players for a position stat by stat by going to compare then to attributes then select position

By the way you’ve bought a few African players but what about when they’re on international duty during the season?

Does it slightly annoy anyone else that all your players aren’t on 92 - 100% match fitness constantly haha, you really need to arrange lots of U23 friendlys and play any players who aren’t getting first team football or they won’t be ready if you need them

I don't know if it has changed now, but making offers for too many players (especially contract offers not just bids) at the same time, could limit the max amount of wages you can offer to a given player just because the game knows that - virtually - you could sign soon other players for a total of xx wages - and the game behaves as if they have all already signed for you. I'm not sure if you got my point :D
