Matt, I’ve played this game for about 8 years now. To succeed, you have to have balance in your tactics. For me, your full backs are too advanced. Reduce the roles to support, and change them to inverted wingbacks. While the players may not be natural, at least 1 inverted wing back plays havoc with the AI, it causes strange overloads and is generally successful. Look at set pieces such as long throws for guaranteed goals. Recommended signings from me would be Valere Germain, Lucas Romero, Antonio Marin, Sigurd Gronli, Marius Lundemo, Walter Kannemann, Kevin Mbabu and Bradley Dack. All great signings that for me do well at any premier league club. Best of luck

It gets boring if you use exploits like throwins and inverted wingbacks

I'm not gonna lie Matt I wasn't a massive fan of the fifa stuff or operation Arsenal but this is really good and you should continue with football manager as it's more realistic than Fifa and its quite entertaining too keep it up

Loving this so far, Newcastle are a team that desperately needs rebuilding, and think you’ll do a good job in game.

Try moving the series a bit faster, fm takes a long time to do stuff like contracts and such, show just highlights of players you're interested in or something and players you signed Edit: like you did in the end of the episode, that's perfect xD

Onyekuru also cant get an uk work permit, so Everton keeps loaning him out

This is the first time I've ever watched or even seen any FM stuff. Looks like a great game and I'm super interested in the series!

YouMessedUpAAron ur missing out. I’ve won 82 cups in 20 seasons with LFC and our stadium is named after me with a capacity of 80000. My best ever player was Lisandro salinas who has 4 player of the years which I think is ballandor.

Sap3reAude well u can’t make a stadium. U ask for a new stadium and If they accept, they decide on the name. I was just so big in their history that they named me after the stadium. However, if u don’t have a current stadium and are using another teams stadium due to u not having the expected capacity needed in rules, then the board will get a stadium without asking.

Take your time MATT. FM is all about preparation we understand that it takes time.

I’m aware he’s on holiday and this series is pre recorded but he should add Joelinton to the squad since he joined in real life! It would make it more realistic but it’s probably not gonna happen.

When you enter negotiations with a player it shows what level of interest they have to you and other clubs. Club interest in players is only divided into major interest and minor.

go get Fabio silva; Francisco trincao and Antonio Marin Dont overpay in any of them max that you will pay is 12 M. And in 3/4 years you sell them for 120M Good luck and have fun

Exactly the same with Onyekuru in real life. Everton have had him for 3 years and they can’t use him coz even tho he played for Nigeria in AFCON and has played across Europe the last couple years they can’t get him a work permit

I like how matt is realising how much time as passed since FIFA 14 was out, he acts surprised at gales age and dummets in the last episode

If I were you I would recommend selling Joselu to raise extra funds as he doesn’t fit the role of advanced forward I would also consider selling a goalkeeper as you only need 2 and you have a decent replacement in the u23s in Freddie woodman

Please take a look at orbelin Pineda he has great stats and good potential

The reason I like football manager: it’s genuinely possible to make mistakes. It’s so much harder to make mistakes in FIFA 19 career mode

You should also make changes in your coaching, scouting and medical staff. Your players won’t reach their potential if you don’t have good enough coaches. Also better scouts will help you to find more players that you probably don’t know about. Maybe not now, but when regens come you will be glad to have a good scouting team :)

Sessegnon probably took less money because he’ll be playing at top level as opposed to Newcastle

The interest column is what clubs are interested in the player. Not what clubs the player in interested in which is what you thought it meant in the video

Sessegon turns into a great player

just so you know Matt, when a player joins your club and you make someone welcone them, the person you choose to welcome the player you signed, will affect the signed players personality

If you look at the rules for the Premier League, you can find out the work permit rules. It's a lot to take in, though!

I just wanted to let you know that you overpaid for a player of Onyekru’s calibre. Your negotiations skills could also be improved i.e. if a player asks for 50k don’t just accept it cause they’re likely to accept a lower wage.

Themba Zwane plays for our national team. He has actually really been good for us. Him, Percy Tau who joined brighton but is on loan because of permit issues. but yeah what im telling you to do is loan him for one season to spain then he can get his permit.

Talking about not playing a game yet is fine it’s FM it’s good and interesting that you are going into the details don’t rush

Hey " Mr MGH " If you want a recommendation from a 10k plus hours into FM2019 there you ... if you want a good cheap young player you should sign dennis man ( AMR ) In one of my saves with sheffield utd with the new 2019/2020 updates up to the 1st of july i signed him in the first season for 6.5 millions I trained him to play cam on ap and in only my 5th seoson hes worth 55.5 miliions at 4 stars with still 5 stars potential and hes jut had a 20 goals / 20 assists season in the prem so he is pretty good if u give him playing time

Matt, for the work permit, you will need to apply for it and if it gets rejected, you would need to loan him out and set it loan until he gets a work permit.

Change your attribute colours to make good attributes stand out more

Matt I’m halfway through the ep but seeing as dummet is a defensive fb maybe playing him as a fb on def and having a winger (sessegon) on that side cause when I’ve tried 2 inside forwards doesn’t work aswell and seeing ur a mid table team probs balance ur team more then having 2 wing backs on attack. Keep trying to learn the game mate.

Just add a nickname to your manager by right-clking your name, nickname yourself MGH and the game will always mention you as just MGH
