Det är bra att visa alla hur vi får våran mat och att det inte alltid är så roligt att göra det man måste göra, lycka till med gården

In theory, many people would like to be self-sufficient in food, but not everyone would be able to do that part. Well done! Is this the first time you have visitors from South Africa? It would have been interesting to hear what they think of Västerbotten?

I learned very early where our food come from. My ad das is from Croatia and there when it was time for slaughter it was a axe and chop the head of, then put it on the ground and it would often run a few steps before it was over. And after that we put the chicken in a big boul of hot water and we picked the feathers of by hand.. No machines what so ever hehe.

purely financially, is it worth all the "trouble" compared to buying a frozen whole chicken in a store? or was this a test to possibly scale up?

Purely financialy it does make sense. More important than this, is the fact that we know exactly where the food came from; free of hormones and lived on pasture, and that it was humanely treated.
