Trying to get the couch into the basement was a cinematic MASTERPIECE 👌🏻
I love your vision for your home. I'm so impressed with how hard you and your partner are working to refinish all of the wood trim. Painting it would have been the easy fix but stripping it down like you are doing is seriously a work of labor and love for your new home!
My favorite part about every Sunday is when you post an update!! Love them!!

Aw this means so much to me!! Thank you!!
Congrats on 7 years!!! And yay for Paris. I’ve never been either. Can’t wait to see the videos!! 😍😍😍😍 and yes we are the ones that care and goodness you’re so busy! ♥️♥️♥️
We definitely care! I’m glad you shared with us! Can’t wait to see what you have in store
Paris Recommendations. For a chill afternoon, go to a local grocer, pick up some fruit, meat, cheese, crackers, bread. Walk over to Champ de Mars in front of the Eiffel tower and have a stunning lunch with a view! Also, highly recommend doing a Seine River cruise at sunset!! We went in May, so to actually see sunset was pretty late. I think we did like the 10pm sail time? It was beautiful and we loved every second. We really wanted to go see Versailles, but unfortunately there was a worker strike at the time we were planning to go. i've heard amazing things about visiting there and getting to bike around the gardens! Also, enjoying watching your vision come to life with this house renovation! Congratulations!
Love that Pip goes to work too. After her warm up chasing toys, she very helpfully holds down the fabric. Good work Piper! 😂
Idk why but Dillon is só cute when he's bloging the process. He's shy, but he knows what he's doing, i love it, more Dillon more Dillon!!!! 😁💕
Your video editing is phenomenal!! I know it must be so much fine tuning to have the ideas and references match so perfectly to the voiceover, but it works so well to illustrate what you're talking about. I know you mentioned on TikTok that you had changed career paths to do interior design, but I honestly think that your talent for doing demonstrations and videos (not just talent for interior design) is what helped bring you into successful content creation as well! Love your stuff, can't wait to see what's next 🥰
Visiting Paris will be so much fun! My advice would be to talk a free walking tour. It’s such a great way to see the city and learn from a local at the same time. I recommend climbing to the top of the Arch de Triumph it has such amazing views plus a cool museum inside. It’s also much cheaper, faster, and easier to get to the top than the Eiffel Tower plus you can get a great view of the Eiffel Tower from the Arch. I’m sure you’ve done this already but I also recommend just googling what to do in Paris if you love Interior Design there are so many in-depth lists of too many incredible places for me to list here. And don’t forget to eat a ton pastries as well!
I can't wait to see what kind of show you'll have on HGTV one day. My favorite things are the budget friendly design ideas.
So Emily.. you mentioned that you wanted ideas for Dylan and your trip to Paris so here goes. These are notes from my niece since i have not gone yet. Just thought I would share with you these tips: 1. Eat all the amazing food. Especially crepes and there's tons of prixe fixe menus which are good deals 2. Check out all the vendors near the Seine/just walk around and enjoy that area 3. The Louvre cause it's the Louvre 4. Also check out Notre Dame. She wasn't able to go inside but felt like that was the most beautiful place 5. Sacré-couer and that whole area. Absolutely gorgeous. It's in Montmarte. 6. Key thing is walk around as much as you can. 7. Take in every moment when you are there and just enjoy yourselves plus be safe.
Yes! Love the long form videos! Yes, I'm interested! Yes, Dillon is fun to watch too. Congrats on all the things! Thanks for the update!!
Yaaaay! I just went to Paris over the summer. I loved it! Tips: Stay by Notre Dame. It's close to everything. I stayed at an airbnb near Shakespeare and Co. Make sure there is AC because some places don't have any. Buy museum tickets now, the Louvre especially. Get your souvenirs at the museums! They're way better quality than the souvenir shops. I regret wanting a better deal and not buying all the cool things. Say bonjour to people at shops or restaurants- they're super nice once you do. They all know English so don't worry about doing more lol Plan a day to hang out and picnic in one of the big gardens! Take the metro most places; it's pretty cheap and easy. Watch Jay Swanson's videos about Paris because he has that American insight and also knows the local spots.

Also, the Catacombs were terrifying LOL I don't recommend. Its super moist, dark, and small down there. You also have to take soooo many stairs to go back up. I wish I went to the cemetery instead.
ASPIC is an adorable and incredible Michelin star restaurant in Paris with a 7 course chefs meal. The highlight of our trip.
Love your content Emily!! Definitely my favorite DIY channel :) Also, congrats on your 7 year anniversary!!! Sooooo excited for your trip to Paris, the Eiffel Tower literally took my breath away I'll never forget it. One thing I suggest you consider checking out while you're there is the catacombs, because that place is BUCK WILD and the history behind it is BONKERS. Also, the palace of Versailles is gorgeous, I went in the winter so didn't get to see the gardens in action, but maybe you can and I will live vicariously through you!! xx
Paris recommendations from a gal whose boyfriend lives there: You have to go see the Louis Vuitton foundation building/ gallery in bois de Boulogne!!! Spend a day walking around Montmartre and Strasbourg Saint Denis neighbourhoods - there’s loads of cute brasseries. Le potager de charlotte has fab not too pricey veggie food. Also the crazy horse cabaret *chefs kiss*
Just re-remembered you got a house and so excited!!
Love this!! Your creativity is beautiful seriously 💜💜 you seem a little overwhelmed with how much you have going on however, so my heart definitely goes out to you. Expressing yourself creatively in so many directions can be tough! I think that Paris trip will do you some great justice in terms of decompressing and enjoying time with yourself and your boyfriend! And congratulations on your magical 7 year anniversary!! 🎉💜
Never worry about negative comments. Ur amazing!
Girl, you need an assitant like yesterday! OMG I got so tired just hearing your to do list...like wow that is beyond anything I could ever even imagine handling on my own...you are only one woman! Please take care of yourself and don't burn out....outsource whatever you can...trust me outsourcing isn't as expensive as you might think and it pays off in the long run, totally life changing. Anyways, you are amazing and I'm so excited for you! You are crushing life!
I absolutely love your content always but I was thrilled to see Pip in this vid because let’s face it Pip is the true star 😋

100% agreed and she agrees as well, she follows us around 24/7 to make sure she gets her screen time
For your trip to Paris, we have a lot of museums, gardens, that are beautiful to visit :D
Love seeing the transformation! That bench is so you. I can’t wait to see it all come together. Congratulations on 7 years! Enjoy your trip!!
I absolutely adore watching your videos. I look forward to them!!!!
So many exciting things happening! I am so happy for you!!!! 🥰 Wishing you all the success in all your projects. I have no doubt you're knocking them out of the park. Thank you again for sharing your reno updates!
Girl you shouldn't have to explain yourself! I cant imagine how crazy it is balancing all your projects along with making video content for your main audience. Take a breath, we'll be excited to see whatever you show us :) I really cant wait to see the kitchen when it starts coming along
Geeze I’m tired just listening to you list all the projects you’re juggling, impressive!

Hahaha not necessarily the intention, I just think transparency is so important when there’s people invested in updates :)
just wanted to say that i've been watching your videos for a while but when you started the renovation of the house i got COMPROMISED, i always end up the video with a smile. can't wait to see how it turns out!! but at the same time, love the process!! ♥
Thank you for all the updates and we do love hearing about your plans! When you finally have everything organized could you talk about your home buying process? But have fun in Paris!
I love seeing the house videos!!!!
I absolutely love your vision and def coming along for the ride
dylan for president!! honestly, i am finally catching up and binging this whole playlist, and loving every second of it -- the crazy house, the vision, the shopping, the reno details, the dylan cam, and the editing xox great work!
I've been to Paris three times and always recommend climbing the Eiffel tower about half an hour before sunset (factor in wait times- no idea what that's like now with covid!) and then you get to see the sunset from up top, and if you stay up there long enough, you can walk down the stairs as the tower sparkles and it's SO magical!!! Also Shakespeare & Co is a must, and Musee d'Orsay is a much better way to spend your time than the Louvre (imo). Have so much fun and congrats on 7 years!!! Can't wait to see more with the house as well!!
Wow! 7 years-that’s amazing and what a great way to celebrate. My biggest advice for Paris (and I’ll preface this by saying we are not rich people!) is to fly first class if at all possible. It makes a huge difference to arrive feeling all fancy and fresh! We love eating at Cafe Marley at the Louvre. And a day trip to Monet’s Giverny is amazing. Love your content!
It makes me sooo happy to see you guys thriving! And congrats on 7 years together! My recommendation for Paris is Sacré-Cœur de Montmartre, it in it self is a beautiful church but the best part is the location, you can see all of Paris from up there (plus Eiffel Tower), the view is amazing, I would say it's better than going up the Eiffel Tower (and it's less scary if you're afraid of hights)
You are so talented.
I love 💕 your videos thanks for sharing
I know you're so stressed being so busy but I am so happy for you! I've watched all your tik toks and KZread's and as weird as it sounds I'm so proud of you ❤️😊 I love seeing people succeed.
When I went we got pastries at the Pâtisserie Stohrer, cool to visit a store older than the US and the baked goods were oh so delectable 😋
Omg I had no idea how much you were working on! You’re a powerhouse!
You are so blessed ❤️😊👍🏻
Love your channel!! I get so much inspo from you. One suggestion invest in a selfie stick. This video gave me Go Go Gadget Arms vibes. Lol
Great job on your first upholstering. Handled like a pro! 💁🏼♀️ The sanding would be a lot quicker if you hooked the sander (you’re using an angle grinder, right?) up to your vacuum, that way you’re not sanding in the sawdust which creates deeper scratched & therefore needs more sanding to remove. I wish I could give you more time in the day to do all the things you’re doing. But thank you for sharing it with us all! 💗
Wow!! Particularly at your age, seven years is a long time, so congratulations!! Somehow, however, I have no difficulty imagining the two of you together at 77 years - so you’re just at the beginning of your epic romance!! I’m truly excited for you! So - a couple of things. Paris is going to be epic! They call it the city of lovers, don’t they? I’ve never been, so I can’t make personal recommendations, but my sister has been a couple of times. I’m sure you’ll catch all of the big attractions, like the Eiffel Tower and the Champs-Élysées, Marseille and Notre-Dame. My sister and her hubby toured the wineries and the province de Champagne. On their second trip, she took a cordon bleu cooking course. And personally, I’d want to see the House of Chanel!! I think it’s great that Dylan is taking a more active role in the videos! He’s articulate and knowledgeable, so there’s no good reason that he shouldn’t be taking a more active role in the videos. It’s not like he’s hard on the eyes, either! 😉😉 The two of you make a great team!! And if him filming frees you up to do other things, that’s awesome!! So it’s all good Emily! Yes, your KZread fans are those most devoted, I think. I subscribe to TikTok and Instagram too, but honestly prefer the longer videos! I’m not sure what your numbers are over the 3 platforms, but one other YT creator told us that YT paid far better than the other sites, so there’s that too! I know that for you, it’s not all about money. You’re far too sweet for that! That’s just a small part of what keeps us all coming back. 😸😺😸 I have a question, though. I know that you two are absolutely a team! But I’m curious as to how much of an active role Dylan takes in the decision making on the house? You’re the expert, but I’m sure that Dylan has opinions too. So how does that balance out? I’ll cut myself off here - I’ve been following you for so long that I feel like I know you, and that tends to make me feel like it’s okay to be long winded… 🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️
Love love love this pod! Looking for something similar for my home office if you have any brand recs!
Love it all can’t wait to see more! How wide is your kitchen? I am renovating a kitchen space that is about 12 x 29. Yours seems perfect for all the hosting you want to do. Tell us more about function and why the sink is where it is and how you decided where everything will go. Did you think about where left over food containers will be to put food away and how to accommodate two sets of flat wear. What about a second sink any possibility that would be needed? I have so many thoughts like this and more is that how you designed such an amazing space? It is so hard to think of everything. That is what I stress about forgetting something important.
We care! ❤
emilyyrayna-Wow-unusual sharing~have a good day.)
You need a clone machine as your next tool! Sheesh girl! Also, have the BEST time in Paris! We had an amazing time there when we went 6.5 years ago ❤️ check out Disney if you can/interested. It’s pretty neat!

Ok when I seen the reel of the paint brush holder I just thought you’d painted the brush handles - even cooler that they just matched!
🥰
im so sorry for the person i will become when this house is finished.
Are you getting rid of that trellis
You need an assistant girl 🥹
Always try to speak French when in France. Even if you don't speak it, they appricate the attempt and will start speaking English with you. Otherwise they will NOT try to help you at all, even though most of the French speak English. Have a great time 👍
Jesus Christ, just listening to how much you have to do makes me nauseous. But it’s inspiring, congratulations.
I love you but please speak louder :(
