best polish color to use for black cherry boots?

I have light tan ostrich. More of a yellow tan. I have water stain. Will the saddle soap remove the stain ? Should i use water to rinse ?

Man, you make 'em look good again! What brand and type of saddle soap do you use, Ernie? Some bootmakers used to say years ago not to use saddle soap because it would dry out the leather, and recommended an oil soap instead. I've seen some saddle soaps recently with lanolin and other additives. Is that what you use and recommend? Thank you - love your videos!

Clean them with saddle soap. Make sure that you take all the soap off after you clean them. Find you a good leather conditioner. Put it on then brush it real good.and if want a shine on them get neutral wax and brush them.

Do not.... do not use Saddle soap. Why are you doing this? It's so caustic and hard to clean out of crevices and makes the leather rot if you even miss a tiny bit, and sharply degrades the leather even when you do clean it off. Throws off the PH of the leather and makes it darker and brittle over time. T_T

@Dominic, Iowa make it simple, use Bickmore conditioner. Spray it on. Let it sit at least 30 minutes. I let mine sit 24 hours, then brush them using a horse hair brush.
