Great point about osteoclasts being normally seen in these entities as well. Thanks!

Can it become a bad tumor? And be dangerous for the individual who have it?

I'm sorry to hear you are not feeling well. Osteoid osteoma is a benign tumor, but yes, it can sometimes recur, and it is possible for it to recur even years after the original diagnosis & treatment. Was your tumor treated with curettage (scraped out) and bone graft, or did they remove an entire portion of the bone? Osteoid osteoma treated with curettage is more likely to recur from what I have read. Please see your orthopedic surgeon so they can work you up and figure out if this is a recurrence or if something else is causing your pain and other symptoms. Best wishes for health and healing. Jerad

@@JMGardnerMD Thanks a lot for answering! If im not mistaken, piece of bone was removed, and then 3-4 months later the surgery was done again due to tumor not been properly removed i think. It was same place so scar is like 4-5 inches long. I also have chiari malformation which is stabile as doctor said 1 year ago, but could that be cause of this pain? So basicaly its less likely chance of recurrence if bone portion was removed? Sorry to bother you with all this but I can't go to doc anytime soon neither i have options.
