I have a pair of Gokey 8 inch up land boots. They don't make this style any more. I take care of them. You just can't wear them out . My father in-law gave them to me for Christmas 42 years ago. I also have pair of the oxfords. I wore these shoes in the delivery room when my son was born. He turned forty this past November. I need to send the oxfords in for a tune up soon. These boots and shoes have been with me chasing birds from South Dakota to Mexico and parts between. I am to damn old to chase birds any more but I can still ware my Gokey's. Yep, there are only a few quality shoemakers left in the USA. Sad but true.

There are always great deals for orvis gokey boat shoes and sauvage oxfords on eBay. amazing bullhide leather that last decades. I got introduced to gokey with a pair of loafers I got at a thrift store. they've lasted 7 years so far of heavy wear across all seasons.

I've taken your advice on how comfortable these types of shoes are and have ordered a pair of Sperry Stingray Brown Leather 2 Eye Boat Shoes. Probably not the quality of the Orvis pair in the video ... always looking for comfort I am.
