Orto Parisi Seminalis - real world fragrance review

In this video, I review Orto Parisi Seminalis, a bold and provocative fragrance that pushes the boundaries of perfumery. Seminalis, crafted by the avant-garde perfumer Alessandro Gualtieri, is a unique blend that evokes primal energy and raw sensuality. With its intriguing notes of milk, leather, and musk, this scent is both daring and enigmatic. I'll share my thoughts on its longevity, sillage, and how it evolves on the skin, making it a fascinating choice for those who seek a truly distinctive and unforgettable fragrance experience.

This was a great review, I have never seen your channel before but I'm honestly quite impressed, the editing, your use of language and the production is really professional, you are bound to get big on this platform, way to go! Also, the funkiness in Seminalis in my opinion comes from a latex note that comes across as a sweaty-musky type of smell, it really puts me off and reminds me of unused condoms. This is a very interesting fragrance but I cannot go past the association with semen so I'm constantly in a state of disgust whenever I smell it...

Thank you for reviewing this one, Daniel. I was intrigued by its name, but the scent itself didn't move me the way other Gaultieri's did. I'm looking forward to getting deeper into Orto Parisi and Nasomatto, as I have the opportunity to smell them in shop. So far, I purchased Megamare, but I got my nose on a couple more.

@@andrei-cosmin.popa85 I agree, it’s good but it doesn’t blow me away. This is probably due to the fact that the concept of this one is very abstract and hard to relate to.

@@SeldomlyOften From Megamare I really liked the opening, but in the mid, when it gets this rusty iron smell, freshly pulled from the sea, that is not really my favorite part.. I will try Bergamask at some point, but I'm a little bit afraid of the raw leather-ness of Cuoium :)

I recently bought a bottle of Seminalis and I find it addictive. I can’t stop smelling my wrist. Off my skin I get all those notes you mentioned and there is a metallic note in the background. It definitely last long. I heard recently that there oud in all the Orto Parisi fragrances. Maybe that’s the funk. I see what you mean by the baby or puppy smell. Seminalis also means seed so maybe the baby smell is the intention. Just ordered Megamare a few hours ago. That is beastly. I like that deep marine smell and it reminds me of when coral first spawns and drifts into shore. Not a week later when there is a rotten stench. Pardon Nasomatto is also on order.

Knowing too much about that fragrance before smelling it the first time kind of biased my perception at first. I think my brain latched onto the musky and ''sweaty'' notes in this. After coming back to it later I mostly get a gourmand-ish white chocolate slightly lactonic pleasant scent with a ''human'' component to it that gives it weight and substance. Similarly my first exposure to Sadonaso was immediately unpleasant because my expectations were already created in my mind, I should give it another try one day. On the other hand I smellt Boccanera before knowing in what direction the marketing would try to take me, and that probably helped me have a very good first impression of it so there's that.

Lol, so this is truly an abstract interpretation of semen…milky and musky, but not really a true bodily fluid funk. Interesting and alluring… Your love for this brand and its particularly Italian cultural thematics…makes me think you may enjoy the house of Parfum d’Empire. It’s a brand that seems to strive to represent the Corsican geography and culture through the botanics of the place. It’s one of my favorite houses and I highly recommend it.❤️‍🔥

I think the marketing of Sadonaso kind of backfired. I mostly see negative opinions by people thinking they smell what they see in the video. It is such a beautiful scent. In the air it is quite delicate. Only up close you might smell a 'challenging' note, in my experience. It deserves so much more attention. One of my favorites from the house.

Hi, I like your reviews. I have Seminalis, Brutus and Terroni, Seminalis was the first one I bought from O.P. and I love it. I have just a couple of clarifications, the O.P. perfumes are "parfum", not extraits like Nasomatto. furthermore Seminalis is one of the most powerful perfumes of the brand, projection duration and sillage are nuclear, you have to be careful with sprays! it is absolutely not a skin scent or an intimate perfume! Parli Italiano ? Cheers from Italy.
