► Difficulty level: intermediate
► My paper: 20cm x 20cm origami paper
RECOMMENDED PAPERS:
● 25cm x 25cm Origami Paper
● 30cm x 30cm Elephant Hide (Wyndstone Marble) - WET FOLD
(but it also works with smaller sizes of thin papers)
TIPS:
● Wet fold to keep the shape
● if you're using simple paper that can't be wet-folded (origami paper, copy paper, etc), use a STEAM IRON to make it flat before shaping the legs and horn

when watching the video, I pay attention, take my time, take at least 1-2 hours to do the folds perfectly, follow all the steps exactly as shown. And my result sure looks like a unicorn. That someone just sat on.

Jo Nakashima - Origami Tutorials u
Just finished making this for mother's day! It took me 3 hours but it was totally worth it! Thanks Jo, I've been watching your origami tutorials for years now and they've always been so creative and helpful :)
I followed along and the result is a fairly handsome unicorn. Had to rewind and rewatch some of the absolute magical moves, but it really works!
I’m so lost....like tears in the rain :(

You are a real artist! Well, I'm not an expert, so it took me THREE HOURS to complete this unicorn. Your work is really extraordinary!👍👍
Quarantine is not enough, I just need this origami
Any type of paper can be used, but for best results use some paper that keep the creases well

I can't even fold it
I have tried 5 times and finally succeeded.
this is the design I've been looking for since forever. I wish I could find it in diagram. This is the most elegant single paper version I know. Very good video
Took me 1 hour to do a 22 min tutorial haha but I did xD Thanks Jo!
It was so helpful for me with subtitles and drawings on the top right corner.
It was hard so I had to replay some parts many times to understand, but I’m proud I finally make it! I also add wings from the Pegasus tut. Thank you so much for all these tutorial!
i failed once when i tried it 6 months ago. Today i tried with great patience and more experience and i finally completed it, took my day but worth it. Thank you, great instruction.
A great patience-building exercise. Having trouble? Try watching it at 50% or even 25% speed.
A really elegant model. Thanks Jo for another good tutorial ;-)
This is perfect! Got a birthday coming up from someone who happens to love unicorns, so this is a perfect way to personalise the very 'creative' gift of money I plan to bestow upon her.. :p Thanks Jo, you're the best! ^^
i love it my teacher is teaching us about unicorn and i'm a tell her this cool origami tomorrow :D she is going to be impressed
OMGOMGOMG!!! YAAAASS :D I made it! I love it so much! Thank you for the tutorial! Ps - For all of you having trouble, be patient and pay very close attention to where he places his finger, that is KEY!!!

Amazing! i find it a bit hard to watch what you're doing on the white side of the paper. I think it would help if it was colored on both sides.

I love this. Looks great but not too complex. Well balanced and stable. Only a couple of places where the layers get thick and unwieldy. My new favorite unicorn!

I took some courses on Geometry, when I was studying to become a Math teacher in Costa Rica, so it has helped me out to visualize the geometry involved. It s been fine for me , I do see it s quite easy for me
Don't dislike because it's too hard Jo actually says in the description difficulty: intermediate
I cant remember by 4 Minutes and 3 Seconds? How do it go?
this wasn't easy for me but all the same you're a good teacher. I was able to make it after being inspired by the gift my boyfriend got his niece (he bought her a stuffed unicron doll 😄) so I decided to fold something that reminded me of that
Trying to understand why there are 1000's of dislikes to these videos. Like what's not to like? They're quite clear, well set, good quality. Did ya'll want lo-fi music in the background? Did ya'll want the artist to talk the entire time giving you detailed step by step directions? Or were you just not able to make the origami because you simply need more practice and the right paper? I'll wait...
Lol say goodbye to the days when you though origami was simple...😂

Soha Khaja Right before he does WEIRD AWESOME MAGICAL THING that you get lost at, he points out an angle made of two creases. What you need to do is bring them together by sliding one edge to the other, and what appears before you should be similar to what appears on the screen =)
i cant believe i did it! i was going to make this as a gift for my cousin but you know how judgy smol kids are. pls wish me luck!
Yeaaaaaah I did it on the first try!!! :D it looks super cute! thank you for the tutorial
i managed to fold this! the first time i tried, it was a girafficorn with a face mask ;-; but months later i folded it and added wings and it looks amazing C: tysm!
It was very difficult that I need more than 1 and half hour. But the result is very nice.I succeed this type of complex origami first time.

I know his videos are challenging, but if you take it slow and rewind when you get confused you WILL be able to work it out. Origami is not easy by any means, especially when you're doing something cool, like this unicorn. but once you get it you'll feel proud and realize its worth the trouble. ❤
That was freaking AMAZING!

Pleased: was quite happy with result plus slowing down the video to 0.75% does the trick and is a suitable pace for me. Thank you Jo Nakashima for this tutorial and would advise people to use a big square of paper which is strong but thin at the same time to prevent tear.

Me: * finally _finally_ *_finally_* does a hard fold * Jo: *repeat on the other side*
I really want to make this but I can't!!!!!!!
I made a beautiful paper ball : )
thought I did very well following along up to all those intricate little nondescript folds nearing completion of the face. I was pretty sure I messed it royally up in fact. But when all the folds stopped, I managed to smush n craft together something that passes for a unicorn, although perhaps with special paper and more study on the folds I can get better. A little scotch tape helped, too. I added a little balloon around the hoof and a flower in it's mouth for a friend. ^_^ Thanks for the tutorial.
Great! It took me a little bit longer :) thank you!
