Oregon Public Broadcasting Sign-Off - October 11, 1990
Фильм және анимация
Promos and sign-off sequence for Oregon Public Broadcasting (OPB), the network of PBS member stations serving the state of Oregon.
OPB is made up of KOPB Portland, KOAB Bend, KOAC Corvallis, KEPB Eugene, and KTVR LaGrande, plus a host of translators relaying the network into remote areas of the state. KEPB signed on September 27, 1989 and had only been on the air for a year at the time that this was recorded.
Note that the lower third ID that pops up at 1:13 misidentifies KOAB as "KAOB" and lists KOPB with the KOAP calls that had been changed in February of 1989 (yet still includes KEPB, which, again, signed on more than 18 months after KOAP became KOPB.)
Record date: Thursday, October 11, 1990
00:00 - OPB "Masterpiece Theater: The Ginger Tree" promo (partial)
00:14 - OPB lineup menu/legal ID
00:21 - OPB sign-off

I miss the days when TV stations signed off at night. It was like they were saying, "TV's over. Go to bed."
Like The Music! Sounds Like British TV Music!
Thank you for posting this. Do you happen to know who the composer of the song used in the sign off is? I have been looking for years with no luck.
That is OPB(or statewide Oregon Public Broadcasting) from 1990 with the exception of SOPTV in Medford, Oregon.
At 1:13, they meant "K-O-A-B-TV Channel 3 Bend, Oregon", not "K-A-O-B-TV Channel 3 Bend, Oregon"!

I noticed that immediately too watching it just now! How did that make it on the air?! ... and I wonder how long it took master control operators or anyone else to notice, complain about it, and for it to be fixed.
That logo kinda looks like SBS Australia's first logo from 1980
At what time would this sign-off aire?

Did opb ever use a test pattern before when signing on?
Cool!
