I’m enjoying this Oreck series. I’m looking to get an XL21. So this will come in helpful when I find one. No doubt it will need some help at the age these are. What is the non-electrical, coat hanger looking wire for in the handle?

Another great video.

Wish you would explained each step as you worked you way through so we could better understand what you were doing, i did not enjoy the goofy music.

help! I need to know what size the thrush washer on the fan is because I lost the original one. Tried substituting a regular flat washer A BIG MISTAKE. It caused the motor to seize by torquing the nut against the fan.

Love the video! Do you know where I can get the specs on the black and zinc 3/4" "plastic" fastener screws that hold the base together? I need new ones since the oreck store employees used screw guns to torq them all those years and stripped the heads. I appreciate that if someone knows thread specs.

i am looking for help trying to figure out which part actually keeps the vacuum latched in upright position. Mine wants to fall down and won't stay latched. Any help you could give me would be appreciated....thanks in advance.😀

The fan housing and base plate assembly are responsible for keeping the handle latched.
