Knowledge is power & you gave me the power to not to have to buy a new vacuum I could not afford rite now. So I accepted an maroon xl that has been over filled but otherwise in good shape. For some doing some work on a Saturday for a client. So I'm gonna hunt down the parts. I think there is still a peek repair 2hrs away in Bangor ME.... And to you sir I can only offer a like & subscribe & good karma to you!

I think the oldest one I’ve had was from 1999 or so. It didn’t have the screw on cuffs on both sides of the handle. It had the press in ones. Anyways good vid thanks for the tip on the brush roller

You certainly go above and beyond what most dealers do, my daughter put the bag in her Miele wrong and it essentially was used without it, took it in and when we got it back I had to take it apart and recreate it myself.

Very interesting! Thank you very much for your dedication! You're a real pro at this! Much appreciated! My ORECK, of many years, needs a nice servicing... not sure if I'm going to tackle it myself but this gives me a better idea as to the work that goes into cleaning and refurbishing.

Most Oreck dealers will do the job properly. always take a deep dive into the reviews of a business before bringing a machine into service.

my XL feels like it digs into the carpet when pushing forward then starts to melt the belt after a few minutes of use. I just have normal carpet, pretty thin nap, not heavy, long shag. Bearings on roller are good. I've replaced the belt then it starts to do it again without very much use. Idk what I'm doing wrong. Brush was set to "normal", I tried with "special" facing outward. Still grabs. Gonna pull it open again and make sure it is clean and that housing seats properly when put back together. Other than that I'm all out of ideas as to what the issue is. Unless maybe the small wheels have worn down and are causing the drag against the carpet.

I have a quick question... I am in need of a bottom cord that goes from the handle to the motor for an Oreck XL U3700HH. We had a puppy that chewed it up, and I haven't been able to locate another one. Thank you, and your video is fantastic! Brenda

I have an old 1999 or 2010 model Warwick my wife says it sucks too hard it gets stuck on the rug I just put a brand new roller in it and belt what do you think the problem is. ?

They aren't deep cleaners. They are however extremely well made light weight cleaners that I use in my home as a substitute for a stick vac and use one of my heavy duty machines (a Kirby or an Electrolux) once or twice per week. The Oreck does groom very well grooming carpet without a belt line and leaving the pile very fluffy and very quickly. All in all they are very satisfying to use for their uses. If you have low pile rugs they're fine. However, there's a great alternative of very high quality. That is the Riccar SupraLite series. The Orecks use a 4.0 amp or 4.5 amp motor making them a lightweight or junior upright. The Riccar and Simplicity machines use a 5.5 amp motor making them a deep cleaning capable direct air upright yet they retain the same eight pound claim. Good Luck and enjoy.

This was particularly great Alex. You included so much nuanced infformation in this video. I have a question regarding the Riccar SupraLite series. In your last video when you service the Aerus, Royal, Hoover thing, you'd shown the many fastening and assembly improvements that Tti had made to the design of the alternate machine. I am wondering if similar updates have been made to the Tacony product. If possible a service or overview of a SupraLight or Freedom if you're not restricted. The three in succession could be a nice little trilogy series and pointing out that the Taconys have 5.5amps making them real vacuums could be a way of blowing some smoke up Tacony's ----. I'm also interested in knowing everything about the machine myself.
