I wholeheartedly agree. The fact that they took the time to build a guy like Orange Cassidy really says something. It just goes to show too that simplest of story lines with the right 2 guys is all you need for an entertaining match. Pac was a great Foil as well. The tag line for this match was "He's gonna try" lol

I was there live for this and it was such an amazing experience to be chanting with the crowd that we had in Chicago. I hope AEW can go back to the early days.

The fact that this is the most viewed video in AEW channel says a lot about the company more than anything.

The problem with Jim Cornette is that, despite regarding himself as the only "serious" wrestling guy left, he willingly refuses to acknowledge the most basic, core tenet of wrestling: as Chris Jericho put it about Orange Cassidy, "Over is over". It doesn't matter if you're the best wrestling talent in the world, if the audience isn't into you, you're nothing. And it doesn't matter if you're nothing special in the ring, if the crowd gets behind you enough, you're a success. This was the principle that drove Hulkamania in the 80s and Stone Cold in the 90s- they were both good wrestlers of course (although Hogan played down his actual wrestling ability to be a larger-than-life superman), but what made them the two biggest stars of all time was their ability to command the alleigance of the audience. If the crowd is this much behind Orange Cassidy then Cornette can go suck a fat one, because Cassidy is a star (it helps that he's also an actual FANTASTIC wrestler once he does start to try).

The camera work in AEW is amazing

Three years later, and this match is still a perfect debut match for any wrestler, let alone OC. The way PAC let Orange slowly demonstrate his gimmick and his amazing facial expressions reacting to them explained everything about OC to me as a first time viewer at the time. To this day, PAC is my favorite in the company, and after I introduced my girlfriend to this clip and wrestling in general, OC became hers ^_^

That hands in the pockets arm drag is one of the best things that I've ever seen in my life.

@@jaketrigg5365 I agree fully, I mean, the dude is super versatile, he can wrestle anybody and still make their coworker look cool while he does the same for himself...The one sad thing for me, is that I always wished to watch a Neville vs Ricochet match, just like they did in Japan some years ago. But I am still happy for him and the way AEW has managed his work nonetheless...PAC is now in a better place where he is respected for what he does

@Izaan ur rehman You are right, however, I've been a Neville/PAC fan since I was a little kid, he is one of the reasons why I started my wrestling training in the first place, so for me he was always good hahahaha... I cannot yet deny that when he was babyface he was not as good at promos as he was and is as a heel... He was a beast in NXT and he was a beast during the first months in the Main roster, but then he was quickly left behind. Then, he appeared as a heel and he proved to the world the superstar he is...there's a reason why he was the one carrying the Cruiserweight Division, which rised and died with him...Now he is killing it in AEW and I hope he does for several more years...

@Izaan ur rehman PAC was great during his tenure in NXT. But once he's moved to the "Big Platform" (LOL! THAT'S B.S) his momentum was stopped quicker than you can say: "The Fiend is here! The Fiend is here!". So, when he came back from injury in late 2016 at "Roadblock: End of the Line" (Yes my friend, it was called that) and attacks the "babyfaces" of 205 LIVE, he ascends as "The Bastard" and ruled the division for months...until they cut his strings AGAIN for a F-ING filth of a "guy" to wait until his contract became expired in late 2018. Then...he was FREE.

Orange cassidy is absolutely awesome. He really looked amazing in that match. But Pac was absolutely awesome too. I don't think that anybody would be best for it than Pac. Both are geniuses.

5 of AEW's top 10 most viewed videos involve Orange Cassidy The man's a draw and he's back, hopefully he gets a bigger focus after Forbidden Door AEW crowds used to be way better, made the show feel like a party every week Still love watching but it's lost that special feeling it used to have, wish they kept the roster small and focused on making their originals into stars

Cassidy single handedly got me back into wrestling (as someone that grew up with the privilege of seeing legends like stone cold, the rock etc... rise to greatness).

This guy is the greatest of all time

this man a main character 😂 i just may start watching wrestling again
