It's no accident that Jada Pinkett-Smith did the video with the KZreadr who films people's homes in New York. Jack can't claim that he cares about other social causes and then turn a blind eye to what Oprah has done just because he gets a package from her team.

It is because, she has a lot of land she bought in Hawaii. Hawaiians are getting pushed out of their land because of people like Oprah who are buying large amount of land, making it impossible for the native people to afford to live there. The natives are getting pushed out of their lands. During the fire is Hawaii, she went there to "help"...passing out essential items. But the native people and everyone that was concerned about the land grabs, basically told her that we don't need your charity, if you care about us, give back our land or do something to protect us from the gentrification...They called her out on her detachment with the reality that common people are live in. That is basically it. And there are other reasons her own community (African American) does not like her too but I won't get into it.

I didn’t know about the controversy either in Canada (just found out here) so I think the international media hasn’t caught on to whatever has been going on
