Breaking Bad follows protagonist Walter White (Bryan Cranston), a chemistry teacher who lives in New Mexico with his wife (Anna Gunn) and teenage son (RJ Mitte) who has cerebral palsy. White is diagnosed with Stage III cancer and given a prognosis of two years left to live. With a new sense of fearlessness based on his medical prognosis, and a desire to secure his family's financial security, White chooses to enter a dangerous world of drugs and crime and ascends to power in the world. The series explores how a fatal diagnosis such as White's releases a typical man from the daily concerns and constraints of normal society and follows his transformation from mild family man to a kingpin of the drug trade.

He probably didn't know about Walt's past. Hank might have known he was a genius but was blinded by being his bil. The rest of the Dea, gomey included, didn't know about Walt's genius, so they had no reason to suspect him. The only evidence tying him was that it was taken from his school, and they quickly found a scapegoat for that.

Wow, lime green marker on a whiteboard. This was a subtle way to show that the DEA did not have the resources for a case this size. They couldn't even afford a black dry erase marker and had to use lime green, which has horrible visibility. Or, maybe it was Hank's choice to use that color, showing he would never figure out that it was Walt all along. Either way, brilliant foreshadowing!

Season 1 & 2 of Breaking Bad, were visually the best in my opinion. There's a certain charm & nostalgia in all these shots & is almost as colorful & visually appealing than Better Call Saul. Plus those 2 seasons have the most dark humor & comedic aspect to it. I really like all the calm before the storm, the blissful ignorance everyone has, not realizing how a low profile highschool teacher with cancer is about to slowly destroy millions of lives.
